1 starI agree with the comments on here. The only way they have a 1 rating is because 0 is not available. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life from claims to customer ********************** to case management all horrible. They hang up on you when you ask for a supervisor, never call back like they say, and in no way shape or form are there to help you only to wear you down hoping that you give up!They first sent out an HVAC guy from ***** that had the knowledge of a hubcap about furnaces and air conditioning units. He actually made the situation worse and caused damage to my ceilings at the tune of $2500 that I have to pay for. I got to use my own provider and they correctly diagnosed the problem, fixed what ***** did, and replaced both units at a cost of 15K which is reasonable for the size and work that needed to be completed. Cinch is offering $2000 for reimbursement. They paid for the furnace and a little bit of the labor but not the parts required to hook it up, not the a/c or its installation. They can't understand that there is a new refrigerant and older a/c units will not accept it.I knew from the first call that I was gonna be screwed and they did not disappoint! Do not use these people there are plenty of other reputable warranty companies out there. Again the worst company that I have ever dealt with...they suck!!!!!!!!! wish I could leave a zero or negative ratingReview fromRichard B

1 starCinch Home Services, Inc. ****** Home Warranty, do not even deserve (1) star!!!Home warranty customers beware! I have been a long time customer of ***** for over 50 years buying appliances, using great service technicians to repair all our Kenmore Products. Since they have sold out to outside companies to represent them, NO NOT BUY IT!!!We've paid ***** home warranty for years with only a few repairs that needed attention, lucky for them and their monthly income from our payments. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CINCH HOME SERVICES, LLC., OR ***** HOME WARRANTY, OR SMARTCHOICE APPLIANCE LLC. My recent refrigerator repair claim, started end of April, 2022 and has been conveniently strung along until I was forced to buy a new refrigerator over labor day. Not only are the above companies hard to get a hold of, they claim to pride themselves on their customer satisfaction, FALSE AND VERY UNAVIALABLE. I had to personally track a part down for them so they could return to my home to fix the problem. It didn't matter because the part was incompatible with my refrigerator, again we had to wait more weeks to have them come back out again and order another part, which was used or defective,. I was tired of babysitting my appliance to prevent futher damage to my bamboo floor, no water, my food freezing over in top only to thrown away...$$$$ lost on food, Patience lost on an incompetent technician and his company, and no one at Cinch to talk to about the (non) services being provided.....hey came and went over 6 times, with weeks in between, to "piece meal" the problem. After 5 months, we had had enough! PLEASE DO NOT BUY IN TO ANY OF THE ABOVE COMPANIES.....YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! ********************* **Review fromJeffrey B.

1 starWouldn't waist a dime or my time using this company. Bought the warranty when I bought my house 4 years ago, older home, thought would come in handy. ** worked when I bought it but due to the age knew it was soon before we had issues, thought it was financially smart to have at the time to replace. I have had a few issues with the *** messed up a year after I bought the house, after given the run around about actually fixing that *** the company they sent out did a bandaid job and eventually installed another unit upstairs (full oop cost to me, $0 from Cinch). Which was necessary eventually, no way unit downstairs would comfortably cool the house. BUT the claim was on the downstairs and they never fixed it! Next summer still issues but we had the upstairs unit so didn't want to fight this company again. Next summer finally died, they sent two companies out, one said one thing, the other another. Cinch recommended using Mechanical HVAC Services (wouldn't use them either). Didn't hear back for two weeks, thankfully from a window unit we bought years ago able to keep it bearable for my family downstairs, finally called Cinch, after being on hold for 1 hour, their employee told me they would be covering ALL costs (phone call was 1:18 PM -2:30 PM July 27th '22). Receive email from technician saying "Cinch would be covering all costs" new unit and Evap Coil $4k in costs BUT i would have to pay $4600 add'l expenses oop + hire crawlspace work and plumber!! Spend 2 more hours on hold for Cinch, would not address what their employee said, called it a training opp. Offered cash out option of $1500 (HA!) and use my own technician. Still the run around - crawlspace work, removing pipe, etc. Finally took cash out option and use own technician for $4700 total without the extra work and fees. Save your time, money, and energy. $750/yr for this service EXCLUDING $125 deductibles isn't worth it. $750 4 years = $3k in your pocket > $1500 cash out. DO NOT USE CINCH!!!!!Review fromjohn m

1 star++Worst company I have ever done business with. Is it Home sure of America or Cinch Home Services? I can't, for the life of me, figure out why I great company like TECO--Peoples Gas--allows its customers do business with them. This was my second call for service. On the first call, they told me I had to wait about 10 days for a tech to help with my hot water tank. Are you kidding--It's leaking and I need help. Who waits 10 days in an emergency. I cancelled them called a real plumber! Recently I called again to tell them that my toilet tank had a hair line crack and was leaking. They charged $40 in advance, and then said it would be about 2 weeks for a tech. Really! I had another toilet in the house and actually used a crack sealer to make sure I could use it in an emergency. When the tech finally showed up, he said it would not be covered because it looked like the cause was abuse and not normal wear and tear. I asked how he could make that determination since the crack started at the flush handle and I assured him that we do not sit on the tank when we use the toilet but rather use the toilet seat like we are supposed to! He said that he was sorry but the company would not cover the toilet. I'm still wondering how you abuse a toilet tank? And, I still can't believe I pay $10 per month and then another $40 for someone to insult my intelligence. How does this company stay in business?I've cancelled my contract after paying them for about 8 years. I'm pushing 80 but I'm going to go to small claims court to get my money back from them after I replace my toilet. I think others should do the same.Review fromJune L

1 starPossibly the worst service I've ever experienced. I signed up for their home warranty plan and have been paying $42-$46/month for the past 7 years. When I finally needed the service last month, Cinch scheduled two service technicians, both of whom no-showed. It took a week between the first no-showing and scheduling the second. When they scheduled me for a third technician, he claimed he arrived but did not. I had to schedule him to come a fourth time. When he finally arrived, he did not do a repair and did not provide any information. When I called Cinch, they said they did not have any information to provide me. I asked about how they were going to assure that my appliance get repaired or replaced and they were clueless, unable to provide any assistance. It got to the point, 5 weeks and ~10 phone calls later, that I bought a replacement appliance myself because I lost any hope that Cinch would take any accountability for finding someone capable to repair/replace the appliance. When I requested a reimbursement for what I spend on the appliance, they told me it was an unauthorized purchase and they would not help. I asked how to authorize a purchase for future reference because the process did not work this time around and they could not provide a satisfactory answer. It seemed like their message was "You just pay us...we're not responsible for unreliable, flaky repair technicians." Sorry but if I'm paying you, that's exactly what you're responsible for. If your contractors are not showing up to the job, that's on you.Review fromAmanda F

1 starWe had the worst possible experience with this company. We had our hot water heat go out 10 days ago. No hot water for two young children for 10 days. We waited 2 days for a service appointment and then another 4 for a part to be ordered. That was only the start of the problems. The service provider diagnosed an issue that required a part that the warranty company said would not arrive for 3 WEEKS. It was widely available on Amazon and in another plumbers truck (who eventually came to do service). We got a second opinion at their recommendation in the meantime and was told by both the manufacturer and a licensed plumber that the service providers diagnosis was incorrect. We tried to send this written diagnosis to the warranty company but was told that our only option was to wait for the incorrect part to arrive or take a $229 credit, though the diagnosed repair was quoted at $2500. We had to repair it ourselves because our children cannot keep living without hot water to wait for an incorrect part to arrive. This company is predatory and absolutely worthless. Our next step is legal action.Review fromJamie M

1 starFiled my first claim on Monday. Called the contractor they assigned 4 times. Called customer **********************, was hung up on when I asked for a supervisor. Was told a supervisor would call me back on Monday. It's now Friday and I've heard nothing and still have a non-working HVAC. I have been charged the monthly service fee as well as a $150 deductible for the service that never happened. I will continue to shout from the rooftops about what a horrible company this is.
