I have been trying to retrieve a refund from this company for the past couple of months. The billing department say's they show the refund in process but I never received one. I have spoken to the company and emailed them several separate occasions. I am put on hold for hours at a time. I feel their is fowl play and would like the BBB to investigate .. I am rejecting this response because: **************** offered a trial search only and I was never provided any additional search information nor did I agree to any other of the options. I never exceeded the trial period and asked for the refund the same day in question. The company had agreed to my refund of 43 dollars and never returned the funds into my account. I spoke with the billing department several times and was assured a refund. This is an attempt to retrieve money that was wrongfully taken from my bank account. I would like it returned ASAP...

12/10/22 - downloaded ClickSearch app to try and find a friend that was missing. The charge for the trial was .95 . I cancelled the subscription/trial the same day, 12/10/22. Looked at my bank account, and not only did they charge the .95, which WAS authorized for the trial, I was also charged $89.95 !!! I did not authorize this. I tried working with the company when I contacted them on 12/15, and was told they would refund the $89.95 and that I should see it within 1-5 working days. Never received it. I had sent another email on the 19th, and was told that they would put a tracker on it. It is now 12/29/22, and I have never received the refund. So, I'm reporting them as a bogus company. I never could find my friend, btw, with this app. He happen to be in his home, and just ignoring the world for about a week. What info I DID get from this app is that my friend was apparently clear across town. Well, that would be a bit weird since we had been sitting in his driveway at the time when we looked for our friend. His phone was in his house. Right where we were. Huh.Business Response

After further review of your complaint, we were able to determine that you performed a phone search and was provided a notification that a detailed premium person report was available on the number searched that provided more information. You purchased the report for $89.95 and received the report via email. You never cancelled the subscription with the 3 day trial which is why the $39.95 monthly subscription billed. We emailed you 2x after the purchase to check in and to see if you needed assistance, we received no communication from you until 12/15/22. this is 5 days after the original purchase. Per our terms of service/refund policy, you are not eligible for a refund as you agreed and purchased the pdf report and failed to contact us within the 3 day trial period to cancel. I am rejecting this response because:I Cancelled this 'account' The Same day! I have told your customer service this numerous times, as well. Also, I didn't see a charge for $39.95.... I saw the one for $.95 and $89.95. I require a refund of the $89.95 within the next couple of days, or I will take you to small claims court, if I have to, and report you to any other legal authority I can to get a refund of money that shouldn't, for any reason, have been take out on my bank account on the same day!

I am rejecting this response because: I have sent various emails in regards to all of this, including the unauthorized $89.95 that is required to be refunded two weeks ago- and approved by the emails I had gotten in response. I have attached as many responses and sent emails to you as I could. I had already sent them all once, but apparently no one looks at the proof. Well, its attached again. I want my refund that was 'approved' and that was going to be deposited back into my bank account 'within 1-3 business days'. I had emailed a cancellation request within 3 days of opening it on 12/10/22. I was charged .95 on 12/10, then immediately after that on the same day, $89.95! Seriously? How many people does this actually work on? This app didn't even work like it said it was supposed to.

i was offered a service by click search for 95 cents to do a phone number look up, when i looked at me bank statements i was also charged 2 more times, 1 charge for i dont know what for 10 dollars, and then again for i dont know what for 45 dollars .. i was informed only about the 95 cents to try the serivce offered for 95 cents. website.. i called them immediately and requested my refund and they been giving me the runn around for over a month now. very shady company and should be shut down based on their practices, this is theft. no other way to put it. if they dont ***** my refund in full after this i am going to file a police report as well.Business Response

On 12-26-2022 - I received a call my 11-year-old niece was reported missing, the family was frantic. I attempted to track her cellphone with Click Search, which their website offered 99 cents for a 3 -day trial. Not only does the service not work, Click Search provided random results for another states or country. I was charged he 99 cents with I approved and then additional $71.72, which I did NOT authorize. I am requesting a full refund and I just read on their website that even if they refund you, they charge you a $9.95 cancellation fee. This is unethical and a disgusting business practice. On Nov.26, 2022 I used there web site to obtain some info. The initial price was $.95 cents which I charged on my credit card. The info they gave me was a basic info which I already knew. They ask, on the site, if I wished to upgrade in order to get more info, which I declined knowing at this point the extra info was not what I was looking for and I left the site.When I received my credit card bill they not only charged me for the $.95 cents but also $9.95 and another $43.63. I immediately called them on Nov. 28th and spoke with **** who told me she would credit my acct. and it would take approx. 3-5 days. She sent me an email confirming this. I have spoken to date (Dec. 23) to about 3 people, plus several emails and they keep telling me they have put through the credit. I still don't have it.Please help to shack up these people because it seems they are not only ignoring me, but have absolutely no intention to give me my money back. I owe them $.95 cents, that's it. When they ask if you want more info, they show you what they will provide for you and I DID NOT need any of the results they showed so therefore, I DID NOT accept. Furthermore, I was told several times that they WOULD refund me the charge, NEVER did they tell me what they just told you. I am rejecting this response because: Why do they keep sending me emails saying that the refund has gone through and if I don't see it in my account they will trace it for me. They are telling you one thing and me another. What is wrong with these people? I forwarded their emails to you (I trust you received them, if not please let me know I'll resend) I also have a couple more that they have sent me. Seems they are arogant enough to be blowing you off knowing you have no legal action that you can take and their just playing me. I think this company should be flagged as illigtamate and no one should be doing business with them.I will forward the other emails I have received from them since our last communication. Please let me know just what your assesement of their different actions/responses to you and me. It's very shady and dishonest, I believe! went onto Click Search website on 7.18.22 and it said it was free trial for $.95 and I agreed to that. However, within the same day they also charged $86.87 & $59.85 for which I did not approve or agree to. My bank notified me of these charges to ask if they were fraudulent and I said yes, because they indeed were. So, the card I was using to pay for the $.95. My bank cancelled the card which created such a headache for me then, when I called click search and tried to explain to them that my card was cancelled and will it affect getting my refund for the two larger amounts, they said no, you will get it within 2-3 business days. I've called and emailed over a dozen times! With the same answer- "you will get a refund by the end of the day" or "you will get a refund within 3-5 business days" etc etc. This has been going on since July. I would like my refund. I am rejecting this response because: Yes, they sent the report. It was a name and address and that is it. It was not a report at length. There charge for this was as stated in my first complaint. I never accepted those charges and never would have agreed to pay $140 for a name and an address for which I could have found on my own for *****'s. What they are doing is fraud! They agreed from the very beginning that I was due my refund. They just never gave it to me. I emailed them as requested in this correspondence and they gave me this report- but again, I did not agree to any terms for charging my card the amount that they did! I'm beyond upset and I've asked several times to speak to an owner, manager anyone who can assist and they just repeat the same things as reading from a manuscript.

October 4'2022 I paid less that $1 for I believe 3 day trial and the next morning I had an alert that my account had been charged $89..85.I called them immediately and it just shy of 3 months, with nothing but hassle! Ive called over 20 times, I've emailed the same and have had the worst treatment from a company. They have screamed at me, told me refund has been done with a confirmation #. It's all lies!
