      ********** has great resorts in their system, but they send you to bill collections when you are just behind on the maintenance fees and let them know you are going through storms and other issues. I am a veteran and even when I paid in full to blue green the collection agency keeps adding $60 a month to their bill.

      We have been owners for 20 years and have used our ownership well. Unfortunately, in the last few years, customer service has been very sporadic. It is difficult getting through by phone, and forget emailing or chatting online. There is no response to emails or opportunities to chat. We're always told to "try again later". Right now we have a serious issue with our maintenance fees. We are being billed for a full year only 8 months into our already paid year. We have called, emailed, and been promised that we'd be contacted by someone in the accounting department. So far, no response, no answers. Apparently, they don't mind fleecing their investors because that's what we are in essence, even though we are deeded. As Diamond owners, I can only sympathize with those at lesser levels. If we can't get service, then they must really be getting shafted. I'm giving 3 stars because we enjoy our many vacations. The company itself doesn't even deserve one star. Maintenance fees have increased at an exorbitant rate in the past 4 years with little benefit to owners. With the sale of the company to ******, we're afraid we are going to be further ignored and poorly serviced. We do not suggest that anyone purchase from BG with the way things are. It had been a good company to deal with for the first 15 years of our ownership, not now.

      I am writing this review due to the misrepresentations, omissions of critical information, and the use of deceptive sales tactics that I was subjected to during a sales presentation.They used extreme high-pressure sales over the course of 4 hours. I was misled on several crucial points and important information was withheld. The timeshare was presented as a real estate investment that would gain value over time. This was a lie. I was told that Bluegreen Resorts were private and exclusive for owners. Another lie. I was not informed that maintenance fees would increase by 20% annually. They failed to disclose that these fees would be passed on to my heirs. I was told I could return the timeshare at any time, this was a lie too!The salespeople told me that Bluegreen had an arrangement with other resorts in other countries, claiming that I would have the ability to stay at those Resorts, exchange my week for a cruise, and even receive discounted flight tickets to tour the World. This was a significant factor in my decision to purchase, and this was also a lie. Several fees related to this purchase went undisclosed throughout the entire transaction. I was never informed that this is a perpetual contract where I will be paying fees for the rest of my life. I have had significant difficulty in booking a vacation as there rarely appears to be availability, despite being an "owner".I was not informed about the cancellation period. None of the governing documents, including the terms of purchase, were disclosed. The interest rate was never mentioned. No one went over the closing disclosure with me, which would have alerted me to the exorbitant finance charge.The high-pressure environment prevented me from conducting any independent research during the presentation. I was rushed, uninformed, and overwhelmed by the constant barrage of "deals" from 6 different sales agents. I was definitely taken advantage of!

      Earlier this year, in May, we were severely pressured into purchasing a timeshare from Bluegreen Vacations, and we faced similar pressure to upgrade in August. The initial sales presentation was extremely aggressive and relentless, making the experience a solid 100 on a scale of 1 to 100. The sales tactics employed by Bluegreen were misleading. We faced constant pressure with each refusal, as they offered a lower price each time, treating us as if we were foolish for not accepting their deal. This persistence lasted for four hours until we finally relented, not including the one-hour presentation that turned into two, bringing the total to six hours. During our first review after our initial purchase, we were informed that we hadnt bought enough points to be beneficial and were pressured to purchase more. This session stretched on for another six hours until we eventually agreed. We were told we were acquiring a deed as a real estate investment. Bluegreen repeatedly assured us not to worry about the interest rate, claiming that refinancing would be a breeze. However, no bank recognizes a timeshare as genuine property, which means refinancing is out of the question. Now we are stuck with a ridiculously high interest rate at *****% via Bluegreen. We reached out to several banks, and they all provided us with the same information; this is not real estate and cannot be refinanced. Our total contracts amount to $14,147.35 annually, which equates to two one-week vacations each year, costing us $1,178.95 per night. During the finalization of our contracts, we felt rushed to sign and initial various documents without receiving a comprehensive breakdown of the overall loan costs, which should have outlined the total payments to Bluegreen over a ten-year span. We have been deeply misled and we are furious that Bluegreen has taken advantage of us so brazenly.

      Bluegreen Vacations has caused us headaches and tremendous financial difficulty due to the nondisclosure of important details. We have been ***eatedly subjected to deceptive and coercive sales tactics and we deserve to be released from our contract.This started at ************* in ***********, ******** when we were approached by a Bluegreen *** that offered a free trip to ************* in *******, ******** in exchange for attending a one-hour presentation about Bluegreen. We decided to take up the offer to celebrate our 50th wedding ************** the presentation we informed the salesman that we were interested in staying at *********** for our anniversary, he said it wouldnt be a problem. However, even though we made our plans clear, we were constantly bombarded by various offers. We declined multiple times. After hours of pressure, they lowered the price and told us that they would open a MasterCard in each of our names to cover the payment.They made promises that turned out to be false. For example, they said that our maintenance fees would remain low, that we would have an abundance of places to choose from, that we could earn money through rental income and that we could even pass this on to our children. They made no mention that our children would be FORCED to take on this predatory contract and all it entails without any option to decline.Each time we stayed with Bluegreen we were mandated to attend a one-hour ownership review. They were nothing more than an aggressive sales pitch. Some were more pressure than others, but they always contained some sort of paltry prize in exchange for attending.Being in our 80s makes traveling significantly more difficult as time goes on. We have been lied to far too many times. We wouldnt be in the situation had they been honest with us. We hope that Bluegreen / ************ Vacations does the right thing and releases us from our contract.

      Bluegreen is a joke of a company that is run by frauds! I have tried to get them to cancel our account several times, but they refuse. I just want them to take it back, but they insist that the only option is to list it for sale. Clearly if they wont take it back at no charge, no one is going to buy it. Why would they when its a defective product? All throughout my years of being an owner, I have been repeatedly lied to by the sales people. They told me I could rent my points to make money, which was a lie. I was told as long as we used so much of our points each year, we wouldnt have to pay the maintenance fees. I was never told that our children would be responsible for it after we are gone, which is my biggest concern. We just want our money back and our account closed! They can have it!

      The unacceptable treatment I've received, from Bluegreen Vacations and lately particularly from ******** ********.I believed Bluegreen when they promised me an ownership experience that was worth my investment. But, my actual experiences have been far from this. The accommodation was below par, which was a shock considering the promises that were made to me upon purchase.Hoping to find a solution, I offered to just give them my ownership back. After over 2 years of drawn-out discussions, all they still just want from me is more money and for me to be current on payments when they know I am trying to get this canceled.******** ********, specifically, has expressed an outright interest for more money rather than actually helping me navigate through this distressing ************'s deeply disappointing to see Bluegreen Vacations prioritizing their financial gain over the well-being of their customers. It's clear to me that there is a fundamental lack of care or concern for owners like myself, who feel utterly taken advantage of.Your assistance in dealing with this matter is desperately needed.       I have been dealing with Bluegreen Vacations since May of this year and I can't express enough to you how awful this company is. They have done absolutely nothing for me other than they expect me to pay them over $2,000 just to cancel my time share ownership when I have already paid them thousands of dollars already. This is completely absurd especially since I don't owe them any money and have been diligently paying more than enough in annual fees. The value I get from this time share fees doesn't even come close to the usage I expected. It's nearly impossible to secure the dates I want to get away. Making the promise of always having a place to escape is nothing but an empty sales pitch. The whole idea was to avoid the high costs of hotels, but the time share fees alone are so high that I could be booking a luxury cruise and a resort stay for five days. It's a complete waste of time and a waste of money. I've tried reaching out to Bluegreen and even contacted *** to bring this issue to their attention but I've had no response from ANYONE. They just continue to add and add to my disappointments. I regret ever thinking this was a good decision. If you're considering a time share with Bluegreen be prepared for unexpected costs and unfulfilled promises. Don't make the same mistake I did because I am telling you that it is not at all worth it.
