      Bluegreen took our $99 deposit for a 3 day vacation and a sales pitch earlier this year. We called and their notes show (to change our destination) from ******* to *******. The high pressure salesman, obviously didn't change the dates or location. We live in ***************************** and ******* were under a state of emergency for Hurricane ****** ?? at the time of our original arrival date . Hurricane ?? ****** hit both Dlorida and ************** (Just lots of rain and wind in our area) A few days later we see a $99 charge from Bluegreen on our card. We call, they say they see the notes where the venue location and arrival dates were to be changed, and we were promised a refund as long as we didn't cancel our trip to *******. The refund never came, Another call another high pressure sales person stated we only get a refund if we book and go almost immediately! Seriously, we were supposed to travel to two states, ******* and ************** under a state of emergency!Classless Bluegreen. (0) Zero Stars.

      How this company has been in business for 31 yrs is beyond me. We stopped at the Bass Pro shop in ******************** last November and approached by a *** selling Vacations from Bluegreen to Vacation at *************** in ******** (we live 3 hrs away in a different state) my husband decided it sounded great despite me nagging it was a bad idea. We asked a lot of questions including if we decide to cancel are we charged and do we loose our money? Sales *** replied with NO! You have up tell the day of your vacation to cancel and not pay a fee and get your money back! So we got it. We GOT screwed is all we got. After calling blue-green 3 separate times because they weren't cancelling our booking, telling them each time what the *** said when we bought it. We were told if we cancelled it was a $49 fee for cancelling plus we loss our money that we paid upfront for the vacation! By the 3rd time the *** spoke with his supervisor and had the cancellation fee waived but we lost what we put down up front for it.I would like a full refund due to the fact their approach to selling is falsifying information, giving brochures on this fantastic vacation, the location, amenities of the lodge which was not correct, that is false advertisement. The Hotel the *** advertised was ***************. When we got the information (9/3/24) on our up coming vacation telling us our hotel was a ******* (miles away from the lodge) the ******* had numerous complaints about bed bugs and how dirty the rooms where. The *** lied about the time frame for canceling, which was 30 days FROM the date you purchased the vacation not up till you take the vacation, but he lied about our accommodations and a refund if we decided to not go on the vacation which is false advertisement!Lying and conning people is their business not vacations.

      Huge scam. Dont waste your time. None of the nice resorts on their website are the ones that are available to you to book. The free cruise you get for sitting through the 6 hour high pressure presentations is a complete sham. How can a company like this exist in our country? How have they not been sit down by the government by now?? Taking advantage of thousands and thousands of people for Lord knows how much money- such a shameful group of people.

      If I could leave -stars I would. Our fault we got suckered into it. We have tried to use it and they never have availabilty so we lost our points and can't use the day pass to the pool (a location 45 minutes away) since before covid and maintenance costs for nothing keep going up. We have tried to get rid of it several times and that's a nightmare too. Warning DO NOT DO IT!! Deceptive and high pressure sales, no support, no customer service.

      Sales meeting: Yesterday we went to our annual sales meeting to learn about the sale of BG to ******. ******** started off making the usual sales pitch with numerous open ended questions that only a fool would answer negatively. What would you rather have, memories or a bigger house? I asked him to skip to the questions we wanted answered. He asked if I had been offended. I said no and that I only wanted my questions answered as we said when I sat down with my 93 year old Mom. She informed him the Fountains is the only resort we book annually so no extra points needed. My answer to the question above was thats a stupid question. Well, he was offended apparently bc he left and finally came back with our profile (which we repeatedly asked for) and a manager who was extremely nice and finally answered our questions. We were dismissed and ******** told us to pick up our trash (drinks he served). Then K refused to give us a tour of the new presidential suite so staff rudely organized a tour. We stay here every year and look forward to our luxurious accommodations in the presidential suite. We will continue to come back but we will never have another sales pitch meeting with ********. When K saw we are not buying additional points there was no reason to be rude to my Mom, make us wait 10 minutes for a scheduled appointment, and then to ask us to pick up our trash.I hate going to these meetings but Mom thinks she learns something every year. This year we learned it will cost $12,000-$18,000 to buy into ************ club. What a rip off. Dont but Bluegreen VC! It has always been a hassle to use and the benefits promised are ridiculous. The resorts are not near as nice as you can get on Expedia or other online sources and the cost is ridiculous! $$2700 a year for BG maintenance fees making our stay $500 a night for a three br 3 bath suite.We love our suite at The Fountains, but wish we could use that money to rent a beach house anywhere!

      My husband and I were misled with false promises and fake inaccessible benefits during our experience with Bluegreen. Initially, we were sold the lowest plan of ***** points, which was insufficient to plan a meaningful vacation at this level. This was a result of misleading tactics to sell the base plan, only to pressure us later into upgrading.Furthermore, we do not appreciate being forced into additional high-pressure sales presentations during vacations. After we returned home, we promptly canceled the upgrade within the rescission period, having requested confirmation via certified mail to ensure Bluegreen received our cancellation. Despite this, Bluegreen failed to respond by mail, email, or phone to confirm the cancellation. This raises serious concerns about their business practices.We can book a cheaper vacation on our own without using Bluegreen Vacations. This timeshare has proven to be financially draining, with rising fees and no availability. At this point, we have no desire to use the timeshare. We now seek a full cancellation and refund of all the money we have paid.

      My husband and I had the misfortune of signing a deal with Bluegreen Vacations. At their presentation, it was pitched as owning a real property with a deed, something we could pass on to our kids. Sadly, this wasn't true. We ended up with a points package, not actual property ownership.We found our initial package quite limited, so we decided to upgrade, hoping for better options. Unfortunately, even after spending more, we haven't been able to use the timeshare since we bought it in March 2023. Every time we try to book, there's no availability, so it's been useless for us.The financial strain is heavy. We're stuck with a mortgage, maintenance fees, and credit card payments for something we can't even use. This has put a lot of pressure on our finances, and now we're stuck in a deal that doesn't deliver on what was promised.We feel misled and are looking for a way out of this difficult situation, but after reaching out to their representatives, they have yielded no help. We hope sharing our experience will help others avoid the same issues.

      Please please please before you purchase a timeshare with BG make them show you on your computer to their website how many points it actually takes to take a vacation. Their sales tactics provide a brochure that a vacation per night is 200 points (or similar), etc. However, when you are actually ready to book a trip, the points required is much higher and the availability of lower points vacations is much further out. Their big sell point is to use ***. However, your points cover a small portion but resort fees and other costs are not included. A trip to a resort in ****** would cost me my points plus ~$3000 for me and my wife. The maintenance fees are $1000 annually. I essentially was sold a car that I cannot drive that I have to insure for $1000. The exit options are worthless too. 1) You can do a title transfer to someone who will assume your TS. Why would I do that to someone?2) Re-sell ownership through Pinnacle. They list your TS for a value that includes $2000 to Pinnacle. ** also sells your contact information. I am continuously being bombarded by phone calls from people who want to rent my unused units. ALL THE ******** of my biggest regrets. Please learn from my painful and costly *******

      They will tell you that its the best cost saving experience for traveling, but they dont tell you that you pretty much have to have their platinum package in order to earn or use your points for trips. They also tell you that you can sell your account if it doesnt work out for you but what they dont tell you is that your mortgage must be paid off first prior to listing a property for sale. Snakes in the grass- dont let them fool you. It is not worth the time or money and will not save you any money in the long run.

      Dear Better Business Bureau, We have a timeshare with Bluegreen and this is not working out to our advantage. We got in touch with Bluegreen with our problems and they do not seem to care for us. We entered into this agreement because of the things they told us but none of them seem to be true. The timeshare has been nothing but a headache for us, and it has not fulfilled our expectations in any way. We have tried to communicate with Bluegreen on multiple occasions, but they have been unhelpful. We want to return the timeshare to the company as we no longer find it a worthwhile investment. We understand that we have signed a legally binding agreement, but we feel that the company is not holding up their end of the part. We would be grateful if you could assist us with this matter and ensure that our rights as consumers are protected. Thank you!
