      I am a senior am have had more than 12 mortgage companies in my lifetime. I have always had good experiences. However, Lakeview should be avoided at all costs. They will cause you to incur penalties and fines based on their own actions. Im sure I will revive their standard reply of Im sorry that was your experience. And more advice, if you happen to get ***** as a representative on the customer service line, hang up and try again unless you enjoy hostile berating attacks from CR reps. ****** my loan next week.       What an awful experience, I feel stuck with this servicer who wont allow you to make bi-weekly payments so they can collect more interest. Then they take two payments out on the first of the month for no explainable reason. Within 12 hours almost $5,000 was taken from my account, yet, when I file the double payment, its now been 2 weeks and they have yet to refund me the other half. And when you call, they have no information. They will tell you the date it should be resolved by, and now its 3 days past and I havent heard a word. Im sure it will be the first of the month again soon and Ill continue to be in the hole an entire mortgage payment for the rest of the year at this rate. Disgusting.

      I’d leave ZERO stars if I could. They took over my mortgage in November and it took THEM 6 weeks to get account set up so I could make my payment because every time I tried (online it with the nightmare phone system) with the new loan number, they “couldn’t find my account.” When I voiced concern that my payment will end up being late at no fault of mine, they said they don’t report missed payments for the first 2 months. Guess what? They did anyway and now my credit score dropped 36 points! Now I can’t refinance anytime soon. Couple this with them not paying my homeowners insurance and not contacting me about it until I got a notice in the mail 2 days before it lapsed and I can’t get to a real person to talk to. This company is a joke and I can’t wait to get out from under them, but they’ve e made it quite difficult for me now so all I can do is warn others the best way that I can to STAY AWAY from this servicer!

      Reaching out regarding our property at **** ** **** **** **** ****** *** We were contacted through mail to procure flood Insurance from Lakeview. We were out of town due to the Hurricane that impacted our home. Once we were home and received the letter we were 30 days out from the time we needed flood insurance. We procured flood insurance as fast as we possibly could and found that it takes 30 days to kick in since it’s a flood policy. This is standard for any flood policy. It is impossible for us to get coverage before the 45 days.
      My concern is the following
      - Our home is not in a flood zone. We had to pay $1000 for a surveyor to come out and prove that it is not. They have proven this, now they have to go to FEMA to get the official LOMA. This is standard and take 90-120 days. Again impossible for us to provide in 45 days. Now I have to pay more right after paying $8000 in repairs to our home from a hurricane.
      - I opened a flood policy for $900 to simply appease the ridiculous request to get flood insurance. Now Lakeview has told me that they purchased one that starts 2/23/23 for $3600. The one we bought doesn’t kick in until March because of course this is standard and takes 30 days to kick in.
      - When I contact Lakeview to explain how ridiculous this situation is all they can say is there is nothing they can do because it is what the system does.
      In summary, this home does not need flood insurance it is not in a flood zone. I understand you have to follow a ridiculous law that is unfair to the homeowner and provide a LOMA which is what we are doing and we procured insurance in the meantime. I have paid enough! All I ask is for Lakeview to not pull an additional policy that goes in effect 2/23/23 for me to pay as well. This is absolutely insane, and taking advantage of home owners who cannot afford to willing throw 1000’s out the window for absolutely nothing because again we are not in a flood zone.

      1. They did an Esxrow analysis and suddenly increased my monthly payment by almost $1K per month.
      2. I tried reaching out to them about that through their Message Center on their website that does not work. On consumeraffairs . com someone from Lakeview mentioned that **************** @ ************ can be contacted for any issues, well that email address bounced back and it is not working.
      3. They had a payoff calculator on their website that would let you know if you would pay an extra amount each month and how much faster you could pay off your loan, that calculator has disappeared from their website.

      I called these people to make a payment on my mortgage. They took two mortgage payments out of my account and put one toward the principle. I never asked for this. This sent my bill account into overdraft and refused to pay the overdraft fee. MORTGAGE COMPANIES...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS YOUR MORTGAGE SERVICER. They will not represent you well.

      This mortgage company has to be investigated. I have never done business with such a confused bank. My mortgage payment changes every month! They can not seem to get things straightened out. I call monthly and after a long wait on the phone I am instructed to pay what I should. The next month the amount is different. I call and they tell me a revised bill is being sent out. I am 75 and have dealt with mortgage companies before. Never have I been involved with a completely confused lending institution.

      My fianc and I refinanced last year and quit claimed my name on the deed. 6 months ago, Lakeview sent a letter saying escrow was short and the mortgage payment was going up. We verified sufficient funds in escrow at the time of closing. We called the closing agent and ***************** made for tax and insurance. My fianc called Lakeview and opened a ticket to research the issues. Hes reached out to Lakeview repeatedly with no resolution as they never responded as they promised. Our insurance broker has called several times and Lakeview has told them they didnt know who we were. How could they not find us in their system? I was a loan originator for 12 years and never dealt with anything so unprofessional. My next step is to file a complaint with the **** and OCC.

      I can't say I have much experience with mortgage companies, as this is only the 2nd company I've dealt with, but as far as I'm concerned, this is a predatory company who buys loans, just to charge extra fees ontop of the loan amount, to pay for the loans they buy faster than the loans would pay themselves off. Horrible customer service. Horrible accessibility. They bought my loan, and assured me the transfer process would be easy, and that for the first few months there would be no late fees, as things are figured out.They **** from the wrong account, costing me over draw fees from my bank, and then Lakeview charged me fees for it. Of course I didn't know this until over a month later, because their website showed I didn't owe anything, until I'd already gotten fees charged from them and my bank from the previous month. And of course the department which could solve this problem doesn't have a phone number. All they have is an email that no one replies from.Absolutely stay away from this company if you have any choice in doing so. This company is a scam, and with the way they've handled everything else, I'm not terribly happy that they have access to my personal information.

      Worse mortgage loan company I have ever had. I have owned 6 different homes each with a different mortgage company and Lakeview is by far the worst. The customer service is a joke and does not help at all. Do whatever you can to avoid Lakeview at all cost!!!The problem is you may not have a choice if your loan is sold to these "clowns" and you are stuck with them. The idea that a loan you are responsible for and pay for can be sold to a completely different company without the consumers input is insane. Why do we have no rights with this???Why is this the case in 2022 that consumers have no rights regarding the single largest monthly expense we are responsible to pay for??Major problem that needs to be fixed!!
