      ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! Waited over 1.5 hours to pick up my vehicle on 12/26/24. They had 2 agents working....total chaos! Super long lines and nowhere near properly staffed for the holiday. After the long wait, I was in a hurry to sign and pick up my vehicle. Nobody explained the "incremental insurance coverage". I signed and wanted to start my vacation. So upon my return I disputed the charge with AMEX. Dollar/***** sent me to collections. THEN they tried to say I returned the vehicle with windshield damage almost 5 MONTHS LATER! I returned the vehicle at 3am there wasn't a sole in sight to look over my vehicle, but now they are saying it is damaged. They are a joke and I would highly recommend using a reputable rental agency, it's not worth the $25 savings. Prime example of you get what you pay for.

      We were supposed to be charged $394.26, we specifically told the agent at *** that we did not want or need any insurance coverage as we had our own through the credit card and our auto insurance. She acknowledged our request and tapped on the key board to make the necessary changes,so we thought- she then had us quickly sign the papers directing us to the door and the row where the cars would be-and calling for the next in line. Only later when we dropped the car in ************* did we realize she had not taken the extra insurance that she was trying to sell us off as she had acknowledged at the rental counter. This was either an honest mistake on a harried, busy employee or a very deceptive practice. We were charged an extra $220.37. I wrote to Dollar to comlain on the website on March 1st, and never heard back-/or recieved a phone call. I also contacted the credit card company to dispute the charge. I request a refund of the $220.37. I wrote again to Dollar on April 8th and did not hear back from them. I have now heard from our corporate travel group that this happened to others who have rented with Dollar. If this is not resolved immediately(since I never heard back from Dollar) I have directed our Corporate Travel group to remove Dollar as a rental car option.

      I attempted to rent a car from Dollar at Orlando airport. That was the worst and most horrible experience I ever had! I read other reviews but still went for the price. BIG MISTAKE!! don't fall for it. Customer service was atrocious: slow line, sales clerks vanished all the time going "on break" after each one customer. They stealth upsold me the damage waiver even though I said I didn't need one. It was 11pm when I was there so I decided to not complain after reviewing the receipt away from the counter, but now looking it over I see that the rental price went from $220 at the time I booked online to over $570 total, for 5 days!!! At car checkout, a "supervisor" at the garage booth switched my car on the receipt, because "it is A and not B" or something whatever. The car he gave me had dents all over, a misaligned bumper after a crash, and was dirty. when I asked to get another car - just next lot, he said like it was all they got, called me "Bosman", that "you get what you paid for", and otherwise was just unbelievable with the attitude. I went and got a car from Alamo next door for $170 less! I can only say their staff is seriously sneaky, dishonest, and has the worst attitude. Do yourself a favor and just stay away as far as you can. If you read all the reviews and still decided to rent from them, you WILL get what you paid for, taking the words of that said "supervisor", which apparently for them means treat you like trash and give you trash car to drive, because you rented from Dollar so then you can take it, right?!

      DISHONEST COMPANY! Horrible customer service. I rented a car for the first time with dollar car rental. Upon picking up my vehicle in Florida, they told me I had to purchase additional liability insurance coverage. I told them I would like to pass on the additional coverage, as my current car rental covered that. I rent cars on a regular basis, as I travel for work. The employee at Dollar Car Rental looked me in the eyes and Bla tangly lied to me, telling me that I had to purchase coverage in order to pick up my rental, and that it was required. Again, I refused, letting them know I knew it was not necessary, and they continue to fight me on the fact that I needed additional coverage and that every insurance company and every state was different. After 5 minutes of arguing, I signed in order to get my rental. It was an additional $75 that I was not expecting to pay. 2 hours after getting to my destination, I looked up the FL laws AND Dollar Car Rentals Contract/Agreement. It CLEARLY states that additional liability insurance is NOT required. I immediately called back to try and get it removed but there is no way to walk to a person. I later called my credit card it company and had it removed. 3 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail from Dollar Car rental! I finally got ahold of someone after doing a “feedback questionnaire” and they refuse to waive the fee after explaining the situation. I’ve tried to escalate the situation and get the same answer, “you signed, you owe.” PLEASE give your money to a company that is honorable. Never gain will I rent from this company. Essentially, long term they are loosing money with me as a customer as I travel on regular basis.

      They said I turned in the car at the ****** location a week later. I have proof I was on another trip and I flew out the day I turned in the car. There is no live agent to help with the issue and everything is done through their website through email. I pretty sure Im not going get the issue resolved its been a week already.

      I picked up my rental at ***********************. I noticed that the windshield and rear window were smeared with what looked like dried soap from the car wash. I turned on the wipers and there was no washer fluid ( using the wipers made it worse ) I asked the man at the check out booth where I had to go to have them put in fluid. He told me they no longer put washer fluid in the cars.Are you kidding me!!! That was one sketchy ride to the store to get something to clean the windshield in the blaring ******* sun was one **** of a ride

      I WAS a loyal thrifty dollar Rent-A-Car customer Day ********* a car from ********************** **************, April 3 retuning from ************* April 8 a close family Members funeral- My flight was 5 hrs late I was exhausted the worst car rental experience Ive had in years! Agent Charged me over $200 higher amount than my reservation - I showed her the contract Email - It didnt matter she said her system says its this price and she was right and I was wrong she added pre charged Tolls and other ins fees etc even when I said no it was It was dark late falling asleep and i They never agreed to an electric car and I had to defend myself I knew something wasnt right and I got a gas car just wanted to get to a hotel go to sleep.- When parking after 10 PM at the hotel - i realized the cars Interior was filthy, not vacuumed nor The surfaces were not wiped. *** a bad odor! In the AM The outside of the vehicle was Filthy, windows, dirty streaks the body was beat up many dents scratches-Im down for a funeral. I lost my partner my mom this year and now another family death! I was on the phone dealing with dollar for three days -Thursday AM. Called customer service explaining my situation - told me to I go to *************** and they will take care of me trade in the filthy car and fix my way off bill ** said they didnt have any cars-called customer service again and was directed to ************** dollar office on Friday. They had no cars then tried to straighten out the overcharges and find my real reservation- he felt bad, gave me his card wrote notes on my car rental agreement For the next agent & directed me to ***** Amp to straighten all issues out- - I left dollarBoca drove 4.5 hrs to ***** arriving after 10 PM Day 3- Saturday to ************* to fix overcharges, filthy car per the ******** agent said to call him or have the ***** manager call him and hed explain the mess- This must get fixed

      ************ CUS*OMERS BEWARE OF *HE REFUEL ON US SCAM AND DO NO* REN* FROM DOLLAR EVER AGAIN **************** users, you might be well aware of the recently added Magenta Status offers from Dollar and Hertz. If you book a Dollar rental car from the * Life, it will tell you that *-Mobile customers will receive a free prepay fuel benefit, whereby you don't need to refuel your vehicle before completing the rental. *hey will even give you a promo code, and it will show on your rental record as well.But this is a huge scam being perpetrated jointly by Dollar and *-Mobile. Dollar will exorbitantly charge you upwards of $10 per gallon of fuel used 10 days after completing your rental, without honoring the prepay fuel promotional offer that you have from *-Mobile.*he worst thing is that you cannot talk to a real person on their 1800 customer care number. Also, since they charge you 10 days after completing the rental, the local staff will not help you and will only tell you to talk with their 1800 customer care number, where no real person will talk and it will tell you to fill a contact us form, and they will get back to you in 3-5 business days.!!! PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM *HIS SCAM AND *HEIR ABSOLU*ELY PA*HE*IC AND SHADY CUS*OMER SERVICE !!!

      When I turn in car I stood and watch ******* inspect the car, told me everything looks good. Asked if there's anything I need to do, ******* said no and that my invoice/receipt will be sent to me via email. I didn't get the reciept until about 2 hrs after of which I see a charge for $400 for outside wash!!! This fraudulent charge. Thier customers service is non existent, hoorible at best. THERE IS NO WAY TO TALK TO A DOLLAR RENTAL CARD LIVE AGENT!! I've tried for over a week. Filled out their online customers assistance and have yet to get a response. I want my $400 back.

      Rented a car for military duty. Nothing wrong with the vehicle, but months later I got an email from them saying there was damage on the vehicle that I'm liable for paying for. Not only were the photos of the vehicle in a different spot from where I left it, the dates they posted didn't line up at all. They also added a magical $100 "admin fee" on top of the bill that seems to be just an arbitrary number that they're claiming I owe them. Will never rent from them again
