      NEVER rent a car from here. If you read any review, let it be this one. My friend and I prepaid to reserve a Chevy Malibu or equivalent on a Wednesday night to drive to NYC, spend the night, and continue our drive to Rhode Island (for a wedding) in the morning. Upon arrival, we were told there were only electric vehicles, to which we complained that we were doing a long drive, and the front desk assured they were fully charged and would make it to Manhattan that night. Seeing no other option we took the electric vehicle. The car was NOT fully charged. My friend and I had to stop at a parking lot in Baltimore to fully charge, adding an extra hour+ to our trip. The full charge did NOT get us to manhattan and my friend and I had to stop and SLEEP ALONE in a PARKING LOT at 4AM by ourselves off of the freeway. Not only was this a terrifying experience as two young women, but also added an additional hour to our journey. What was supposed to be a 3.5 hour journey to NYC turned into an 8 hour journey (due to rerouting to find super chargers). We were unable to sleep in NYC due to the time constraint of the wedding. Not only did we have a terrifying experience being two young women sleeping for an hour on the side of the road, we drove for hours running on one hour of sleep which is DANGEROUS. In Rhode Island, the only charging station in this town charged the car 50% overnight for 150 DOLLARS. On our way back from Rhode Island we had T o stop to charge and arrive later than our car return time. When calling the help desk we got an automated response, rather than someone that could help us. We have spent over an hour trying to speak to an actual person only for them to say they are unable to extend our rental free of charge/help us get refunded and that we would have to try at the help desk. This situation has been extremely unpleasant, dangerous, and more expensive and time consuming than intended.

      Horrible, DO NOT USE! Spoke to representative who said someone would be at desk after hours since our flight was delayed only to arrive at destination with no one at desk and unable to pick up rental car. No customer support available in person or by phone. Will NEVER use again.

      You people have cheated with the amount charged on my agreement. I took a car an SUV on 10th June from *** airport and was supposed to return back to ****** ****************** on 12th June but because of the condition of the car midway around colombus, we have to return back to ******** and return the car to same location *********** on same day around 900 pm. I asked the person to check the car before giving to customer and also told them to not charge me for the whole agreement amount as the car was s*** in condition. I was told by the customer care representative on the same night over the call that there will be a onetime charge of 100.60$ only for which i agreed but today when I was checking my credit card statement, it shows that dollar xar rental had charged me 324.66$ which is a cheat to my and many customer like me. I have already filed a dispute with my credit card company and have told them not to pay dollar anything as you have tried to cheat with me taking wrong amount from me.

      Can’t put zero stars probably would waiting over an hour in line at New Orleans International - complete joke. They are making hundreds of people wait in line and then wait for a car. Who does this to their paying customers? Poor agents… who does this to their employees? Wish I knew how poorly this company is run. They have been doing this for years and still do not have it figured out. It be different if they were a new company.

      I arrived at the Atlanta Airport location and filled out the paperwork to rent a car on April 29, 2023. I was informed my credit card didn’t work and they did not accept debit cards so was unable to get a rental car from them. I went to another car rental company at the airport and was able to get a car with no problem. My phone had died so I couldn’t call the bank about my credit card right away. When I was able to call the bank they said there was sufficient credit on my card. I returned to the Dollar counter to cancel my reservation but was told to call Price Line to cancel. I did that. Dollar then proceeded to charge my acct even though they refused to rent to me. I called them to get a refund and called my bank to have it removed. They said they would cancel but never did.

      I rented from them in February 2023. I parked in a parking garage and there was column to the left rear of the car. I forgot about it and when I backed out I looked left and right and then at the backup camera as it was a garage and not a busy street. The column was perfectly in my blind spot and I turned too quickly and scraped and dented the door. The repair bill was sent to my insurance who found dollar failed to provide evidence they cost that much. My insurance company kept in constant contact with me and has requested documentation several times but dollar will not return their calls. When you rent from them you sign something that says in the event of damages, YOU the driver will have to seek payment from the insurance, the driver is responsible for all amounts due. The only communication I have received from dollar is a statement, a threat to send to collections and harassing calls saying they will sue if I don’t pay. The claim is still under review with my insurance today and I am in collections with dollar for them not fulfilling their obligations. This has tanked my credit and caused significant stress. I’m learning they do this all the time. Do not rent from them.

      Horrible experience with this company at ****** ******************. Arrived on time for my rental. There were only two people ahead of me at the Dollar counter, but the agents re-directed me, without explanation, to a line of about 75 people at the Thrifty Car station and told me to "take a number". The agent rudely walked away from me when I asked for an explanation. People in the long line said it was taking hours just to get a number. In frustration, because I was going to be late for a family wedding, I finally went to another rental company and got a car (which took five minutes, but cost more), I cancelled the reservation with Dollar, but when I later asked for a refund of my partial advance payment, they refused the request. This company has unbelievably poor customer "service", and I understand that it is actually owned by *****, so keep that in mind, too. **** never even THINK about renting from them again!

      I had a a reservation for 2 months but when I got to ****** ***** Airport I stood in line for 1 1/2 hours to get my car. Although the online price looked good when I booked, at the airport they kept adding on charges. Will never rent from there again. I thought about canceling my reservation and renting from Enterprise or Avis since they had no lines but they had a cancellation fee of $100.

      I have never rented a car i had a upcoming trip and rented a car on MAy 11th and paid for it had paperwork that said i would only need to pay $130.93 at pickup. when i went for pickup and she asked for my car i was confused and stated i had already paid. she said yes but they still needed card i said ok she asked if i wanted insurance and i said that i believed that i had already paid for she said yes ok i need you to sign here saying that you are not responsible for vehicle then when i dropped off i asked again because there was a hold on my account for $700 i was assured that it would drop off and i would charged the $130.93 plus the gas fee. that isn't not what happened i was charged $445.13 on top of what i already paid making my rental a little over $900 this is more than i paid for my hotel witch is crazy. when i called customer service i was told i was sorry out of luck nothing they could do, i asked to talk with manager and they hung up on me. this is awful training and customer service.

      Was charged Twice, do not use Priceline or Dollar. Still in a run around to get a refund, paid through Priceline for car rental, then get to counter at airport and charged again. Someone owes me a refund, and all I get is a run around. Do not use Dollar, or Priceline!
