      They scam you. You prepay then they make it seem like they are reviewing what you’ve paid and reality they are adding extras and double charging you. As soon as I realized tried to call and cancel extras and can not get a person only computer and an endless cycle. Charged me $606 4 day rental if a Kia Forte!!

      Never, ever again!! Waited 2 hours for a car that I had a reservation for and was then told they didn't have one and I'd have to wait, unless I wanted to upgrade and get one now. After 10 hours of flying I really didn't have it in me to wait. They are very deceptive, lack the necessary manpower to accommodate the lines they get, lack professionalism, have plenty of dishonesty, and to say they p***** me off is an understatement! If you have to fly to Sacramento, pay a little more and use anyone except Dollar rip off car rental.

      Terrible experience. The line to rent a car was hours long and they only had two people working for dollar and thrifty together. Our car had a problem and it took 40 minutes to change to a different one. Then the line to leave the rental took another ***** minutes. I arrived at my resort nearly 5 hours after disembarking. Not impressed at all

      I’d give Dollar Car Rentals zero stars if I could. Deceitful and dishonest is being nice. I had to travel suddenly because of a family medical emergency and this company drug me thru the coals with the least bit of concern. Had I had the opportunity to do a little research I definitely would have gone with someone else. Save yourself some stress, and some money, and go with just about anyone else.

      On March 2023 we had to wait in line for over an hour to pick up a prepaid car! I'm pretty sure this is because they want to talk you into all the many different "offers" they have. All the other rental companies had very few customers waiting. The prices were not that different between the companies ...so next time it WILL NOT BE DOLLAR

      Scam! Scam alert Maginal *********** ************ ***********...03/05/2023 I book a Car ! Total price giving online $179.00 .I get to location Total price $421.00 ************** nothing I add it only Highway pass $5.95 a day! They will get you in the cage once you im they will scam you..! Leaving you no choice but to pay them what they ask you! I just dont see how they are allow do this? I will never again or any my family friends will ever Go there..abussing customer!

      I booked my vacation package through AAA and sadly chose Dollar rent a car as my car provider. I arrived in Orlando right on time. When I got down to the Dollar counter, there were over 100 people ahead of me with 2 workers at the counter. I waited 2.5 hours to get a car. The man at the desk asked me if I wanted insurance coverage, I told him no as my insurance company will cover anything if something was to happen. I also indicated no on my booking. They said okay and then asked for my insurance. I then provided them a copy of my car insurance. After waiting 2.5 hours, I did not check my receipt until I got home since I had a 3 and 6-year-old who were at that point tired and starving from traveling all day. When I got home I noticed they charged me for LIS (Liability Insurance Supplement). When I called to have the charge removed, they told me I signed the agreement for it. I never did, what I was told I was signing was for the $200 deposit. There was no computer screen to even check, all there was was a pen pad to sign. I have now heard from multiple people that this happened to them too. I will never rent from dollar again. EVER! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN AND CHECK OVER ALL PAPERWORK BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE COUNTER!

      I went through Priceline to rent my car from Dollar. I rented a mustang convertible. Well when we got to MCO airport I had to wait in line for an hour to get the car. Then when I got the car and opened the doors the smell of WEED was so strong that if i would have gotten pulled over by the police they would probably have made me walk the line. I proceeded to drive out of the parking lot and decided to take the top down ERROR came up on the dashboard. So i thought maybe my luggage was blocking tried it again and still the ERROR came up. I took it back to the checkout and the lady took it for a ride and she didn’t understand what was wrong. Pulled it back in and one of the employees looked in the back and low and behold there was a sneaker, took that out and tried the roof again and still the ERROR came up. The lady from Dollar took it for another ride and still an ERROR came up. I got in the back of the car this time and found 2 hats, another sneaker and old food. The lady took it for another spin still ERROR. When she cane back we noticed that the right side of the roof was not going down correctly so the lady from dollar took her flashlight and looked down into were the roof would sit and she pulled out a water bottle that was the problem. After being in there for 2 hours I finally left. When I got the car to my destination I needed to clean the windows and i had to get fabric softeners to help with the smell I also cleaned up most of the ash that was in the car from the WEED smokers. There were no other cars available, so I had to take the car. After having the car for a week when I returned the car STILL smelling of WEED I told the men checking me out that it was not me and that the car needed to be THROUGHLY cleaned out. Like my husband said YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! Although Dollar was a few dollars less than everyone else I will NEVER again use Dollar! IF AFTER READING THIS REVIEW YOU DECIDE TO USE THIS AGENCY….. YOU ARE A FOOL!!!!!!!!

      I booked my vacation package through expedia and sadly chose Dollar rent a car as my car provider. I arrived in Orlando over 3hours late after sitting on a plane for 4 hours due to multiple issues. It was after 1 am when I attempted to pick up my car and the man at the desk asked me if I wanted a toll pass, which I did, he also asked if I wanted basic insurance coverage or premium, I told him neither as I indicated on my booking. He then told me I had to have proof of insurance, which I miracously was able to provide by using my phone and internet. Once I showed him proof of that he then told me that my insurance company had to confirm that they were swapping insurance from vehicle at home to their rent a car! I couldn't do that at 1 am in the morning and he told me everyone works from home now a days and their should be someone available to confirm my insurance transfer to them. My innsurance company doesn't have people available to contact 24 hours a day. I was furious and he flat denied to give me a car and refused to refund my $906.00 I prepaid for the car. He accused me of being intoxicated as well, which I WAS NOT! I didn't even have a beer on my 4 hour flight! At this point I was almost in tears and stranded in the Orlando airport with no car to get my hotel! Thankfully another agent came from around the desk and told me to come see him and he would get me my car. He took me to the parking garage and did the computer work out there and gave me a car. That other man should be fired!! I will never rent from dollar again EVER! STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEM AS YOU CAN!
