      During the aftermath of Hurricane's ****** and ******, I arrived in to *************** to assist my family after the disaster on Oct 12, 2024. The Dollar car rental at ************************************ in ******* charged me $13.99 per day for 4 days totaling $55.96 for tolls, when ******* was a state of emergency and all tolls were suspended by the Governor. As I am not a ******* resident, this was unbeknownst to me, until I arrived back to my home state. Upon trying to reach them, after returning the car, their telephone que just goes on and on in circles, and their web site ****************************************************************** does not work or accept U.S. phone numbers no matter how you enter them on the form. Therefore my complaint and concerns have gone unanswered, because their customer service is virtually non existent either by phone or internet. It's rather daunting that Dollar Car Rental would scam consumers, especially during a state of emergency. They have lost my business and I am informing others to never use them, because any issues that arise may never be resolved due to non-existent customer service.

      They charge me $91.00 and said I did not fill the gas up. I mailed them the receipt and they still charged me.I will never use them again.

      They gave me a call that was a mess. And emailed them all it and no one called me back about it. I turned the car in and the ass put 500.00 $ on my credit card for cleaning it out..will be the last time I get one from them.

      The desk employees at this location run a scam on regular basis with unsuspecting tourist, specially if their English is not that great. The scam consists in charging hundreds of dollars in upgrades the customers have never requested or approved without explaining them. Foreign customers often confuse this charges with the deposit that is often associated with a car rental.Calling Dollar at their corporate headquarters will not help any, as they immediately distance themselves from the situation telling hotel agents and others trying to help tourists that this can only be solved at the local office. This forces the customer to have to drive for over 40 minutes back to the airport to deal with the situation, often not knowing if they will be able to get any money back. Dollar Car Rental at the *******************, just be ware they engage in this practices, and, trust me on this, if you can, use some other company.

      Dollar Car Rental is absolutely horrid. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you rent from Dollar, do so at your own risk. Trust me that risk will be very high.
      I made the mistake of prepaying a rental for a Tampa trip this weekend. Due to the weather issues in the Tampa area that have come up and the fact that my hotel has closed due to the storm, I cannot change my rental to November 8th. I didn't ask for money back, but simple to change my reservation due the the frigging storm. Dollars response, no way. You lose your money.
      I will NEVER use a Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty rental again. What a absolutely horrid company. There is no way you will talk to a live CS represenative. I have tried fo two days. Nothing. Avoid this clown show.

      I left my jacket in the rental car, I left to catch my flight, when I realized that I left it in the vehicle, I went back to check on it. It had only been less than 30 minutes, but the jacket was nowhere to be found, nobody had seen anything or knew anything about it, or the person who inspected the vehicle after the return. I asked just about everyone there, but there was nothing to be done. Thiefs!

      Horrible. Over 5 years ago they was amazing. Took our car to the service department after a kid rear ended us to get the bumper fix. Was initially told it would be 2 weeks max. Daughter is in college and many dr ****** I made it very k own how important to get our car back in a timely matter. The father of the kid did a insurance claim. Once done ******** informed us that we have to pay $990 out of pocket. A week later we get a call from ***** stating ******* quit and he will be taking over. We'll, things are worst, but after dealing with him in the past I knew I had to get it in writing. I took a pic of him writing $990 out the door and he signed it. We'll a week later I get 2 calls in one day back to back weird. ***** call and say OK your car is ready. We say ok we will see you on Thursday. 3 minutes later ***** calls again sounding different saying your car is ready but your cost will be over $1200. I explained to him absolutely not we had been told $990 and he signed it. He then called back on 10/2 and said we sending a supplement to the insurance, but your car is not ready and you have to return the loaner. Oh and by the way we don't have a loaner car for you. I politely informed him the agreement was $990 them adding fees after the fact has nothing to do with me. If I bring that loaner back I need my car. I am driving back and forth 3 hrs paying for hotel and they are playing games. Guess it's time for a Business attorney for breach of contract...STAY AWAY FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT...

      The customer service was the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. I was told, when I asked to speak to a manager, that they wouldnt help me. I was then put on speaker with the manager as I was standing at the desk. He hung up on me. Then he asked if he was speaking to idiots. Talking to myself and 2 other customers. Then said he was cancelling my reservation because I asked to see where in fine print did it state there was a deposit required on top of my booking fees. I deserve an apology and they should seriously think about firing their whole staff at the ******************.

      Its sad you cannot leave negative stars for this company. Truly THE worst car rental experience ever. ***************** What a joke. The rudest woman I ever had to deal with. Literally was taunting my disabled son. When my husband went over to thrifty to try to rent a car from them to get away from her. She literally walked over to the man at the counter and screamed you arent going to do that to us all of a sudden thrifty had no vehicles available. Then we were put into a filthy car. I got my credit card bill and was charged $400 for a cleaning fee. We were told but the woman when we dropped it off we were all good. Definitely a typical thing they do. And after seeing the complaints on here I would definitely say run dont walk away from this company

      ********************** Dollar car rental has the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered! My wife and I had a reservation to pick up a Rav4 at 1am. The attendant, whose name I didnt catch, was an absolute jerk. He was completely unhelpful during check-in. I dont travel with a credit card because my wife had hers, but he insisted I provide one. When I explained that I only had a debit card, he rudely told me I had bad credit based on my debit card and that I needed a credit card. He then suggested we shop around at other rental companies at 1am! I felt humiliated and embarrassed. As a senior manager with 35 years of experience, I have never felt so exhausted and upset. I will ensure my companys business goes to *****, where we had a night-and-day experience. Dollar clearly doesnt need the business. Spending extra money at another agency is well worth it. Ive been a senior manager in the hospitality industry for 15 years and have never been treated so poorly. The Agent truly did not want to be there!
