On May 9th of salesperson came to my home I really feel like I was taking advantage of. Telling me, "I like you" ect. I filled one complaint have not heard back from the company. This is a huge hardship. I canceled getting the measurements done but on the 17th somebody showed up. They apologize for misunderstanding it was not a good day confused and let him measure. On the 22nd of May I called to cancel they refused. This is even hard fillinh this out because I do it on my phone. The contract was sent via email which was very difficult to read and that's why I did not cancel sooner. At this point I'm not eating I'm losing weight and the stress is too much. Please help with this issue they seem to have no compassion whatsoever. They said I didn't cancel in 3 days true they said they already ordered the materials yet another complaint says they ordered materials and they allowed them to cancel how fair is this? At this point I do not know what to do, confused.

Hired FHIA to put 2 sliders and windows Hurricane Took them 2 years to get them all in. After 3 tries with the kitchen slider. Still one of the windows has a big bow in it that still needs to be fixed. Being that my house is gutted would be a good time. But they offer NO HELP Was told they would adjust my bill with the labor because of all the problems and what we were having to go through each time they were here. But of corse Nothing.Day of inspection they sent a person out. We told them prior we needed plugs and latches for the screens. He came with nothing. We called and told them we only had a few plugs and needed a lot more. Also to please send out the latches for the screens. I have called and called this company with NO help !!So then in April we had a flood. My supposed hurricane doors leaked like a sieve. Water was seeping right through them. So after the flood I immediately called them to have them come out and remove the doors and clean the tracks because of all the dirt under it from NOT having plugs. They sent a person out said he would get back to me and never heard from him. So I start calling again. This time sent pictures of all the missing plugs and latches. Then dont hear from them. Make another call finally get a call back. When I return the call of corse that person is not in ! My husband gets a call returns it and yet again that person is not in. Every time you call the person you need to talk to is not in !!! I am at my whits end with this company !! I Do Not Feel Safe in my home !! My husband had them put in for me so I can feel safe.

I purchased windows and doors from this company 5 years ago, which are covered by a life time warranty. Four months ago I informed them that I needed to replace a sliding door damaged by a house fire (I know this is not part of the warranty, but I need to order it from them so the new door is covered by the same warranty in case of hurricane damages). I sent them pictures and explained the situation. I needed this door as soon as possible since I can't make the repairs to my house until the door is replaced, besides the fact that I don't have any protection for that side of the house. They keep giving me excuses and blaming the manufacture, but their story changes depending on who I talk to. Every month they push the ***** to the next month. I'm convinced that they discriminate against existing customers, since new customers don't have to wait six months for their windows and doors (I know friends that have purchased their windows with this company)

Accepted an estimate on 05/17/2023, was told that I had 3 business days to cancel the contract. Sales person miss spelled my e-mail address, thus I never received the contract, and the sales person who sold me the product was conveniently sick for the following week, thus I was not able to cancel the contract. The price that was given to me by this company for 1 window is 3 times of what 3 other hurricane window company's are proposing. This company is a total rip off.Someone needs to do an investigation on them, they are ripping people off

Per VP *********************** and Sales Mgr ***************************** both had numerous conversations with the customer. The customer did allow a ************ to come measure the window after the 3 day period, and there was no mention of cancelling at that time. Customer requested to cancel after the product had been ordered. **** spoke the customer and offered a 10% discount which the customer agreed to and signed in June. Yesterday customer reached out advising to cancel again and VP ***** agreed to cancelling this contract even though we already ordered the customer window. The contract has been cancelled.

In 2019, we contracted with FHIA to install an impact door and windows. Beginning around December 2022, we started experiencing issues with the front impact door. The problem is that when we close the front door, whether due to improper alignment at the hinges or at the strike plate and latch, it does not stay shut and will instead bounce back open. I made a call to FHIA sometime in December 2022, but no one returned the call. I followed up after months of waiting and was able to get someone out to service the door. The repair ended up fixing the issue with the door not latching into the strike plate, but then issues with our keys being able to open the door began. This issue came about after the door was worked on. When I called to try and get it fixed, the only options given were to settle with a lock that required us to depend on the manufacturer for copies of keys which is not ideal because the current lock we have on the door apparently is no longer being made. We do not want to have to depend on a manufacturer for keys to enter into our household. The alternative was to settle with a lock that is a different color from the one we have now. Given that we spent thousands of dollars for our products, we do not desire something that looks otherwise.

Unfortunately, we dont have any standard cylinders in stock and ETI only makes the high security cylinders now. In order to stay in compliance with the Manufacture warranty we must utilize their cylinder. We understand this is not ideal. We have left a message for the customer.

I have received calls non-stop from this company daily, averaging 2-3 per day, from different numbers. I'll block one and they call from another. I've told them several times now I am no longer interested in their services for a project and they continue to call and harass me even ASKING me to cancel with another contractor so they can do the job. Then proceed to ask private questions in regards to the contract from the other company in order to gain information for their own use. They quite literally have called from about 23 DIFFERENT numbers and it's now verging on harassment especially since I have stated on their "RECORDED" lines I am no longer requiring their services and to stop calling me. Their CONSTANT bombardment of calls and texts when I was first looking for a contractor for my project is the EXACT reason I chose not to go with them in the first place. They will call back to back, or call 2-3 times in the day at various times, even one day called FIVE times in FIVE hours **** near every hour on the hour. This to me is completely unprofessional, rude, and harassing, not to mention the prying for details about a contract with another company asking me what in the contract I liked, and why I chose them, and asking me if I can cancel with the other company so they can do the work. Absolutely ridiculous and they need to be reminded of consumer rights and that when they are told to STOP CALLING they need to do exactly that.

I am filing this complaint because I hired FHIA last year to replace my windows. I purchased impact windows from them over a year ago. The windows have not passed inspections and so far a total of 4 inspectors have come out. I reached out to the general manager for an explanation. As of date have not received a response. Only from another staff member scheduling another inspection. A staff member from the company brought pictures and the ****************** is requiring them to remove the frames to inspect. I was told by one of the employees of FHIA that was not an option. I have paid a great deal of money and the company is unconcerned about following the rules and regulations of window replacements. I had to face Hurricane *** with windows that had not been inspected and may not have been properly installed.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/24/2023

This issue has been resolved. The inspection is passed and the permit is closed out. I attempted to contact **************** to let her know and left her a voice mail explaining the situation. I was able to resolve the issue by contacting the Chief Plans Examiner at the city. He found the photos of the hidden fasteners sufficient and acceptable.

I am rejecting this response because:

It is very disappointing to know that the ****************** required them to remove the frame for inspection to ensure they were properly installed. Both my husband and I have taken off work, I have paid my father in law to house sit for the inspection, and we have cut our vacation short because we were told the windows were being inspected.   Now pictures are conveniently produced to satisfy the inspectors. On previous inspections it was questioned about the * Channels.  Now I have windows that *** not be properly installed and no * Channels on them.   In addition I told one of his staff members I would like for **** to contact me about the windows.  I received a response from the staff member that I was just mad because it was taking so long.  I also sent an email to FHIA Headquarters in ************** and as of date no response.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

      Business Response

I was able to speak with *****************, I did confirm with her that the permit is closed out and the inspection has a passing grade. I have agreed to personally come out and look at the installation to ensure the windows were installed properly. I will be going to the house on Thursday 5/11 to inspect. I will report back to ***************** after i inspect the installation with my findings. If there are any corrections that need to be made they will be addressed promptly.
