My first contact with FHIA was in Dec. 2022. The lady sales person was great. (*************************)She sold me on the company, the process, and the product (Bellagio, Luxura) for a tub to shower conversion. We just did not agree on the price. My second contact was with a gentleman (*************************) who again showed me the product line. We chose the same product we had on the first visit. I made an offer of what we could afford for this product. He said he could not accept that offer but he would show it to his management. Shortly after this visit he called me back and said the offer was excepted.I have a signed contract, AGR-**** on 12/12/2022 for $12,777.00. We used a **** credit card to make a partial payment of $3,833.00 This transaction cleared with the credit *** on 12/13/2022.On 1/24/23 I received a text from **** with FHIA. The next day we talked and he informed me that FHIA was pulling out of the signed agreement because of the price. I have since tried to contact **** by text asking " Who was the highest person who said yes? Why didn't they call me. Maybe we can work something out. I'm not an irate customer I just want to ********* for the agreed on price."I received no phone or text reply.I have filed a BBB report regarding this matter hoping to resolve it without filing a complaint. FHIA did not respond.

Per ********************* homeowner has been updated and even received an immediate response via text when he texted him. Unfortunately when the job was reviewed by our purchasing department it was determined the job was sold for the incorrect amount. The customer was contacted and explained the difference in the pricing. Since the customer did not want to pay the difference we issued the customer a full refund of his deposit. ********************* reached back out to the homeowner yesterday and re-explained all if this.

I am rejecting this response because:  While the FHIA response was mostly accurate in what they said, they did not address the focus of my complaint.  I have asked in email with ****, "Who approved of the contract?"  I have not been given that information.  It was mentioned in the reply to my BBB complaint that the ********************* told them the offer was for the wrong price so they were rejecting the deal.  They had not mentioned this to me before but I made an offer, we both knew that it was less than than their asking price.  Somewhere or some one in the FHIA  company responded by accepting the offer I made.  A contract was signed.

I do believe **** mentioned the normal asking price when we spoke the one time on the phone and yes I rejected that price. While I can not find any written reference to this price why should I accept a higher price when I had a signed contract for a lower price?

I would still be interested in having FHIA do this tub to shower conversion but I was led to believe for a month that we had a deal before they backed out.

      Sincerely,
      *************************

Beginning the first week of Jan 2023 I contacted FHIA to get a quote for replacement windows. The salesman came to my home and it was decided that I would purchase 3 windows at first and if happy with the process and product I would purchase at least 4 more windows. Initial cost was ******* and I opted to use their promotion at the time of 18 months no payment no interest. There was two bathroom windows the were to be obscure glass for privacy. All the forms were filled out at my home and e signed . When the two installers showed up one could speak no English and the other very little. They did a great job of installing the windows however one of the bathroom windows was not obscure glass. I checked the order and it read only one was to be obscure. I contacted the salesman and he admitted that he made the mistake when transferring the info from his notes to the final contract. The field rep was contacted and came to my home and saw the window and said a new glass would be ordered and it would be about 4 weeks to replace. Once the inspection was done the field rep. would come out to replace the glass and install plastic plugs covering the installation screws. In the meantime I was receiving calls and e mails from the finance company FHIA uses stating I need to e sign the finance forms. The finance company had my wife's form with e signature but not mine which seemed odd as we signed them both at the same time. Many times I tried to e sign the form but it would not go through. I called and got answering machine where I stated my problem and never received a return call . I then called FHIA salesman to order the other four windows only to find out that his area is ************ and was only working ************* area after the storm, but he took my order and sent me an additional contract and was told an installer would come out to make the final measurements, After four weeks I called the company and was switched to the ************* office and left a message and was never afforded a return call. A few days ago I was contacted first by the field rep. stating he had my obscure glass and we set up a time on 02/20/2023 to install between 11 and 1 he never showed or contacted me. I also received a call from the ************* office and was walked through the e sign process and that they would try to add the additional windows to the contract and would call me the next day, that never happened. I even said I would pay for the windows but would like to take advantage of their 18 month same as cash offer. I love the windows and the installers did a great job but the company has very poor comunication skills. The original contract number I have is *******

The original purchase of my kitchen refacing from FHA was May 25th 2017. At which time I paid $7650 for cabinet refacing product came with a warranty of I believe 10 years I started having problems about two years ago maybe more where my cabinets started to peel off FHA came out and told me that they were going to make it right. Ive had to deal with three kitchen managers, two sets of installers, and a lot of incompetence of the customer service representatives. The first delay happened during Covid when the materials were not being shipped then they arrived. Almost a year later only to be the wrong color. Second shipment arrived damaged third shipment arrived damaged now its been over two years and I cannot get the company to even answer my phone calls I had a corporate man come out and said he would be handling it from here on out and I have not heard from him since thats been at least three months ago I placed a phone call this week asking for an update, and no one has returned my phone call. My hands are tied. I cannot get a hold of anybody. No one has getting hold of me and I have damaged cabinets hanging in my kitchen for the last two years. I hope you can help.

Dear ***/***** I am a senior citizen and would appreciate your intervention in the following matter which is very distressful for me.On March 03,2022, a sales person from Florida Home Improvement Associates, came to my home to sell me hurricane impact windows.I was offered Solar *** with Neat Technology glass type. The sales person used demonstration to show that the sun's heat would not penetrate the glass and that the solar max **** and windows would keep out the heat of the sun( I still feel heat while standing behind this new solar ****).I was charged $22,784.00.I made a downpayment of $4,556.00 with check #****.Many months passed and I did not hear anything from FHIA.After several telephone calls to FHIAs office, on the morning of August 31,2022, a field officer showed up with three men whom he said would be doing the installation. The field officer explained to me that one window was missing the top section and that they would come back to install the window when the top section arrived from the factory. The field officer left shortly after they started to rip out the first window. He told me to call him if any problem aroused. What I did not know, was that, none of these guys spoke English. This was a matter that we talked about with the sales person when he came to my home. After installing the two windows, the subcontractor left to buy a broken window sill ,as was relayed to me by the field officer. The two younger men were left to pull out the original glass **** and install the new one. It was obvious that the new **** was too tall for the space because one of them pounded it with hammer and it could not fit. He cut off a portion of the concrete structure at the bottom of the **** way in order for the new **** to fit. If correct measurements were taken, the only thing that they should have done was to remove the old **** and replace it with the new one. The pounding of the structure has left crack lines along the wall. There are parts of the **** frame and window with openings that need to be sealed properly. After the **** was installed, I noticed a key entrance to my backyard. I was given two keys to lock the **** from my backyard. I dont leave my house via my backyard . I spoke with the field officer and people in the office including supervisors and even sent emails but they said nothing is wrong with the **** and any construction will result in damages. On 12-16-2022, I received a call from FHIA office, stating that the missing part of the window arrived and they would like to come and install the last window.A date was set for 12/26/ 22 but it fell through because it was a holiday. No mention was made of the repairs to be done from the previous installation job.On 03/15/23,I received a certified mail stating that FHIA has put a lean on my property. Please find document attached.Information included shows lies and deceit.

      Complaint: 19416249

I am rejecting this response because:
No front door was installed at my house. The only installation done were two double windows and a sliding glass door to the back of my house. Why should FHIA take it upon themselves to install a sliding glass door with key entrance to my fenced backyard? I am the client, paying FHIA my hard earned cash.Wouldnt it be respectful and business-like for them to have had discussions with me before installing a door with a so called feature that I have never seen before?Even builders and contractors looked at it said they have never seen any door with a key entry to the backyard.A family friend had a similar back door installed around the same time last year (by FHIA) and the door has no backyard key entry. The FHIA manager and workers are failing to admit that they installed the wrong door. The door was supposed to be all plastic but I see where aluminum is added.I was charged $22,784.00 for the installation of six windows (which are actually three windows, but because each window has a glider on one side FHIA said there are six windows)and a sliding glass door..This is a very exorbitant price. And to think that they are giving me substandard product and service is appalling.FHIA needs to address the issue of the sliding glass door and the cracks to the walls. The manager stated that they have been calling me without any response. What happen to email and letter? Aren't those effective ways of communicating?

      Thank you for your assistance.

       Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
The company promised to cover the costs of monthly financing until completed. FHIA initially tried to install in June 2022, only to Fail inspection : leaving me with multiple months of payments and interest on incomplete work in my opinion.

I also noticed a defect on Interior sliding glass.

I feel that what was promised versus received speaks for itself.

Currently I await for the job to be Completed and error free please

15 months that FHIA doesn't complete the job at my home. November 2nd 2021 the salesman told us no down payment was needed, the total payment would be made once the windows and doors are installed and passed inspection. On final day I would sign the contract for $58,524.40 5 months later they arrive to install but don't bring the front door, missing window, no window screens, and during the installation they damaged 2 windows. A supervisor arrived and demanded I pay $50K even though the work was not completed, and the rest when they complete the job. ******** and supervisor argued back and forth and came to an agreement that a new contract will be made explaining: I will not be financing the project, I would pay with a check. But also that I paid $30K and on the completion of the job I would write the final check. I agreed and wrote the check. New contract WAS NEVER GIVEN to me. Then they installed the front door wrong. The window above the door is missing.FHIA sends an installer to fix it. Installer blames the manufacturing company. The manufacturing company sends one of their own to do an inspection and concluded the door was made correctly but FHIA installed it wrong.FHIA sends a second installer to fix it and the installer says he can't change the door without breaking it, best thing was for FHIA to send us a new door. FHIA tells me to pick a new door and they will install it. I do and after back and forth with FHIA, they agreed that a new contract will be written and brought to me the next day to my home BUT I have to pay another $15K and the remaining balance when its done. Also I get a $1K discount. I have proof in an email about the new contract. The next day ***** and ******* show up to my house WITHOUT the contract, they tell my wife they now refuse to write the new contract and threaten my wife that if she does not give them $15K, they will come back in two weeks finish the windows and take the door and leave her without a front door to our house.

We have tried to do everything for this customer, We need to adjust the door, Mr. says he doesn't want the door adjusted he wanted another door. I get the president of the manufacture in a meeting, I call customer and agree to give him the door that he wanted at no extra charge. He went to the manufacture and picked out a door.  He agreed to pay me for the windows that were install and hold 15k until we install the new door. The next day we visit the customer per our agreement with the Mr. of the house. Mr. is not there and Mrs. is at the house. She says that she is the boss and what ever Mr. said it did not matter.  So after a 45 min visit they agreed that they would get another door from another manufacture and to take out our door.  We told them that we would wait until they purchase another door before we take out ours and in the meantime we were going to order two balance rods for the windows mentioned in the complaint. WE were all in agreement. Now there is this complaint. As far as we understand and it was agreed when they get another door we would take our door out at the same time.  Remember we offered them a new door at no expense to them. Mr. agreed per our phone conversation, the next day it was totally different situation. Right now we are waiting a the balance rods to set inspection. They can keep our door until they find another. Don't understand the complaint.

******************* (Field Mnager FHIA) responded. His response is also attached on here, where he clearly states:

"Per the conversation earlier today please have a check for $15,000.00 for tommorow's meeting. I will bring the contract changed as needed".

The new contract or modified contract that was agreed to by FHIA Field Manager, would specify all that was included in the email sent to ****** and *****, plus showing that we had already given them a check for $30,000.00 and what was pending up to that point  was another $28,000.00.

On January 20th, ****** and ***** showed arrived at my house around 10am, to "pick up the check for $15,000.00. I was not home but my wife was.

When she asked for the new contract or modified contract, ****** said to her that  "he could not provide a new contract or modified with the agreed terms on the call, because it was ilegal". Once my wife called me and mentioned  this to me, I instructed her not to write them a check as they had not provided a new or modified contract as agreed to on the call by ******************** and ******************* by writting in email. I instructed my wife to ask them to leave the house and they did under protest being disrespectful. (we have video from home surveillance showing that they arrived empty handed)

Following this, on February 9th, we submitted the original complaint to the BBB. On the same day, *********************** then contacts me and we talked to try and come to a agreement, and we agreed on the following to finish the Job:

      1. The missing window above the front door entrance would be installed by ******'s team

      2. The window (1) in the master bedroom would be adjusted, as this window does not open easily and tends to get stuck.

3.The 3 windows that are in the master bathroom, would be fixed because when they were opened, they came off the frame and just fell on the floor.

      4. The screens that are missing, 2 for the back sliding doors and 2 for 2 windows, would be installed.

      5. The window sill installed in the living room  was broken during installation, and would be replaced wiiht a new one.

      6. The front doors, would the be discounted, a value of $15,000.00, from the contract, as we agreed that i would have another company make the front doors, after the inspection passed.

      7. Once inpection passes, I would then write a check for the balanced owed, around $13,000.00, for the work that has been completed, already subtracting the $15,000.00 discounted by FHIA and *************

      8. Once the new doors arrive at my house, FHIA will send out their team to  remove the doors, in order to avoid liabilty in damaging the doors. Once the FHIA doors are removed, the new doors would be installed by the new company, finallizing the contract and satisfied.

The above listed are the terms we have agreed on with ******, and is what I have asked to be put in the new contract, along with the $30,000.00 initially payed, and showing the final balance of $13,00.000 owed.Once this is done, and the work is completed, the balanced for $13,000.00 would be paid In full.

We have asked and sent a message on February 10th to ******, that all communicaton be in writting.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

Below you can see the paper trail of notes. Customer asked me now that he wants our door if I give him a discount. Since he says one thing and his spouse  says another. I asked him to do a three way call so we can all be in the same page. I spoke to him on 2/9 with a tentative deal that he proposed. The Mr. was suppose to call me back on 2/10 with his wife. He never did, as you can see how many times we have tried to reach this customer. Every time we have left voice mails. At this point the customer needs to call me and tell me what he wants to do. Again at no time did I ever say that we would take out our door with out the customer having another door.. If you like when I speak to this customer I would like to call someone in the BBB so they can hear  the conversation.

      Complaint: 19370572

I am rejecting this response because:

We had sent ****** a text message on Feb 10 at 2:44pm (image attached) asking him to please refrain from contacting us via phone calls, and that any communication would have to be in writtting, followed by the email to reach out to, since verbally we have not come to an greement. and their story keeps changing.

This way there are no lost promises and both parties can be held accountable. To this day, we have not received anythig in writing from ****** or any of his co-workers, adressing our request previoulsy sent through this portal.

Even after that was sent, we keep geting calls from *****. At no point has Renso or ******, reponded to the above request or even attempt  to provide the contract with the  updated balances and discounts and a detailed warraty explanation.

In a nutshell, we are asking for an updated contract, showing that we have already payed 30k and after the door discount. we owe 13k, which will be paid in full and not financed, plus the other request to finish what is owed to the job and the warranty coverage explained.

      Sincerely,

Good afternoon, I have attach the emails that I have sent ****************. I also attached the invoice showing what was paid and showing what is the balance on the account.  Basically we need to set inspection. The inspection needs to include the front door because it was installed.  ***************** will owe 13k for the windows. Once we take back our door we will credit the account 15k ( price of door). Once we credit **************** the 15k the bal will be $0. We will not issue a new contract, we just need to set inspection get paid 13k, we get our door back and we give Mr. a credit for the value of the door .

My wife and I hired FHIA **** to install 4 replacement windows for our condo. The job was scheduled to begin on January 3, 2023 and to be completed in 1 to 2 days. It is now February 9, 2023 and the job has not been completed. There were several issues regarding incompetent work, but the following is the main issue. The installers cut too much of our existing exterior vinyl siding surrounding the rear windows. They could not find a vinyl siding color to match. They subsequently installed a vinyl siding color that does not match claiming that they can't find the correct color. My wife and I along with the condo association management informed them that this was their mistake and it is not acceptable. A spokesperson named *********************** has been bulling us into signing papers stating that the job is complete. We seek remedy by simply demanding that the job be corrected and that they are responsible to replace a vinyl siding that matches prior to their installers mistake. They also didn't properly caulk the windows.************************* contact number is ********************

      Per Operations ******************************:

I went out to this job this morning and I met with the Field Manager and a representative of the *** board with regards to the siding work that needs to be resolved. The meeting was productive, and after reviewing the siding work repairs, we attempted, and looking at the color variation, there is a difference that was evident.

I explained to the *** rep, that we tried to make the repairs, but they werent an exact match and I agreed. I was very transparent with the *** on the path to cure, as well as our limits of scope of services, that we are not a specialized siding contractor, and what I would like to do is to bring in a 3rd party siding contractor who can engage to get these repairs done faster and in more alignment with the community aesthetic. I reinforced FHIA commitment to resolving the issue on behalf of our customers and I have given a written letter to both the customer and *** for them to have on record for their board meeting tonight.

I also called ************ and left a voicemail describing all the above so they are up to speed.
