On April 8th I booked a flight from ******* to ********* for April 17th. Best Ticket Fares sent me an itinerary stating the airline would send me a confirmation number. When I called they said my order could not be found and ***** said they never received the reservations. I saw a posting on Reddit that others had been scammed. They did not get money because I cancelled the credit card. But they have my information and others should be warned against this company.Initial Complaint

I tried to book four tickets on April 12th with Bestticketfare. The website only provided the option to pay for the three tickets as the fourth ticket was for an infant. They gave only 9 minutes to make the reservation. I received an email after making the reservation with the agency confirmation number: #: *****. It only showed the itinerary for the ticket that I wanted. The email was received at 4:20pm and then I got a call at 5pm from an agent claiming that I bought a discounted fare. I asked what type of fare this was with the airline and then they indicated that it was an extremely restrictive fare and that I would not be allowed to have checked bags, check in online, select seats, make changes, or cancel. I told him that I want to cancel the reservation as it was less than an hour since it was made and I did not receive any ticket or confirmation code. He said that if I cancelled that I would lose my $1800. He then proceeded to say that he is "talking to the airline" to determine what can be done. He came back and said that I need to pay an additional $468 per person in order to get the restrictions removed. I told him that I was not interested in paying any more money that I will go through the airline directly. The agent then transferred me to a supervisor called "********, employee ID 2011". He was not helpful and said that the best he can do is remove "taxes" and that I need to pay an additional $900. I told him that I want the transaction to be cancelled. They will not cancel the transaction and I still have not received any confirmation code or e-ticket from the airline. I called the airline and they cannot find any ticket in my name, using all the identifiers that are common for finding a reservation. I am not sure what to do right now as my bank said that they cannot dispute the charge until it is posted. It is showing the $1800 pending and removed from my account so I do not have access to my money. I will like this hold to be cancelled.Initial Complaint

Used the best ticket fare web site. Going to book a flight to ******* from alt. and back on united. When the the credit card went through the web site switched from united to frontier. If we cancel there will be a ****** cancelation fee. Plus no carry on luggage. This is for April 23. This a a bait and switch. We want a refund to book on united.Initial Complaint

I was buying two tickets to go to ************ priced at $874 and suddenly the price went to $1366.98. The tickets were marked as not allowed to bring luggage or carry ons. I asked to cancel and was told I was still going to be charged the $874. They only offered to switch out tickets to ones that allow luggage for an additional $492.Initial Complaint

I went on ********************* and purchased 2 round trip flights being advertised for $211.96. I went ahead with the purchase and I never received an email confirmation regarding my flights. I contacted their customer service and they informed me the flights are actually $300 each. I attempted to buy tickets for a PIT to SLC round trip plane fare for two adults. I agreed to a price of $843.50 which was reasonable. After placing the order with BESTTICKETFARE they called me and informed that these seats do NOT include seat selection nor check baggage, however for an additional $300 per ticket I could include these items. I stated that I could buy full fare tickets direct from the airline for that amount or less. I asked to cancel the reservation and was informed that it is not possible. I asked the rep if these conditions were shown on website and she said "No". I then asked for supervisor who repeated all this. I informed that this is a SCAM and he insisted the it is not. They then placed a charge on my credit card in the amount of $1059.84 which I promptly disputed. Today I find 2 new charges to the same card in the amount of $529.92 (Half the first charge. I have disputed these charges too.This company is obviously a fraud scam group preying on those who need less expensive fares to travel to family functions.I see by prior complaints that this is their normal operations..Business Response

We are not BEST TICKET FARE. We are BEST AIRFARES. This is a clear case of mistaken website identity. I would request BBB to please take this complaint off of our website. There has been far too many complains for BEST TICKET FARE which is being posted on our website BBB portal. This is completely wrong. We are being affected by this a lot. PLEASE TAKE IT OFF.

I booked an airline ticket at ******. I also asked in their chat section about baggage fees. I have included these in the report. I was told by the person who contacted me that I could not bring anything but carry on luggage. I showed him the screen shot showing my question answered that I could bring luggage on for a fee. He insisted I need to upgrade my flight to a more expensive one. I asked for my money back and he said no refunds and pressured me into taking a less desirable flight at a time when I cant rent a car. On April 2, 2024 I booked three round-trip seats through Best Ticket Fare. K received an email stating that I would not be charged until details were confirmed and seats were secured through the airline. There was NO mention on the website prior to purchase or in the confirmation email that there would be an additional fee for baggage. I received a phone call from a gentleman (of Indian accent) within the hour. This gentleman stated that I would not be able to choose my seats nor would any carry-on or checked baggage be allowed at the airport. He stated that my 40% reduced price meant that the airline would not "provide any services." He then stated that he could contact the airline on my behalf to see if this could be remedied. He returned stating that for an additional $170 per person, I could have a single carry-on bag per person and choose my seat. I asked to speak with the supervisor as the trip was for over a week and one of the passengers will be a toddler who clearly could not sit in a randomly assigned seat by herself. The supervisor stated the same nonsense and further stated that the fee was not refundable and my card had already been charged (it had not). When I replied that I would be calling the credit card company and also filing a complaint with BBB, he began to ask if I could fly to different places or on different dates. Both people I spoke with were rude, especially the first man. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I requested a cancellation email.Initial Complaint

March 8,2024 we purchased from Best Ticket Fare 2 tickets for myself and husband from ********** to ******** ***** to attend our Grandsons wedding.Best Ticket instead ordered 2 tickets to ******* ***** on ****** Airlines and charged $818.19 on our AmericanExpress Card.****** Airlines said we could use as credit but we cant afford their cost to Fly to ******** and we need our money refunded never saw a ticket from anyone.We are both 79 years old and so upset with this whole fiasco,we probably wont be able to attend the wedding as we have no tickets.Communications with ****** Airlines Customer Service has been futile as they outsource calls. bestticketfare.com is a bait & switch scam company that advertises a very low price, gets your information & then attempts to coerce you into giving them much more money due to a variety of complications. I was looking for cheap flights and found a link to Best Ticket Fare. I entered my card and contact information & thought I purchased a ticket on 3/24/24. I received a seemingly professional-looking email saying Your reservation with bestticketfare, Booking reference No: ##### , indicating they would follow up & confirm when the flight was booked [that booking never happened]. No tickets were ever produced, but I also had not been charged, so I called the number they sent in the email. During this phone call "*****" told me this deal came with stipulations: I would be randomly assigned a seat on the plane (fair enough) & would not be able to bring ANY baggage onto the plane, even if I tried to pay the airline for a checked bag, saying this was because this cheap ticket was in the restricted cabin of the plane, and that I would need to pay best ticket fare more money [almost double] for the flexible cabin for carry on. She also told me they couldn't book the flight, but that I had to book on a different date or I would be charged for cancelling. I kept getting emails & calls & talking to the scammer calling herself "*****" [refused to give a last name or ID number because "everyone here knows me"]. After more than a week & several wasted calls & no tickets, I finally left a message with ******* to cancel & followed with an email telling them "If I see any charges from your company, you can be sure my next step is to (a) file a consumer fraud complaint with the attorney general; (b) file a consumer fraud complaint with the federal trade commission; and, (c) file suit for unlawful trade practices (Im a lawyer/litigator, so representatives (lawyers) from/for your company will get to meet me in person at that point). What a bunch of scammers.
