A flight from ******* to ******** nonstop was for June 7 and returning on the 14th was made with Bestticketfares on June 4th for ******. A man from this company called me which I thought was strange about the flight I reserved with Delta. He said it was no refund are exchange for this flight. At the time I had no problem with the flight because it was a good flight. Nonstop flight. Then he tell me I am not allowed to take luggage on this flight which I thought was strange. I told him I never heard of this and I cant be gone for a week with no luggage. Then he said let me see if I can find you a better flight, which he did for an extra ****** both way. It took the price from ****** to ******. I told him he was scamming me and I am not doing business with him , so I end the call filed a dispute with my credit card I which they are investing as fraud.Initial Complaint

The company sold us a ticket for a plane with no guaranteed seat, no baggage, and other extreme conditions, did not tell us about these conditions before booking the flight, and when they called to explain the terms, I tried to cancel and they refused. The email they sent said my card wasnt charged and the flights werent booked, but they said they wouldnt refund me.Initial Complaint

May 8, 2024 I went online to book an airline ticket for my husband to attend his only cousin's out of state funeral. bestticketfare.com advertised a ticket on ****** airline for nearly half price. Of course they could not produce said ticket. When I called to question the issuing of the ticket I was told that I shouldn't expect a ticket, but standby due to the low price. No indication of that was ever disclosed. I stated this was unacceptable and issue a refund. He refused and went on to say that he could book a ticket but it would be more money. We repeatedly stated DO NOT BOOK A TICKET! We advise this man that we would book our own ticket. Instead he fraudulently used my credit card to book a very expensive ticket with multiple unnecessary upgrades for a totally incorrect day and sent the ticketing information to a person at totally unknown email address. We had no information that he booked a ticket against our advise until strange charges appeared on my credit card. I filed a complaint with my credit card company and called ****** Airlines. The kind woman we spoke with at ****** confirmed that my husband was not on the flight that bestticketfare.com booked against our direction and was able to confirm he was on the flight we booked for 5/12/2024. She kindly sent us a copy of the booking and that is when we learned it was booked for a departure of 5/10/2024, rather than 5/12 and sent to a totally foreign email. This kind woman initiated a fraud investigation with ****** Airlines fraud department regarding the activities of bestticketfare.com The only document your system allowed me to upload due to size shows the unknown email recipient of this unauthorized booking. I have again tried to call the number provided by bestticketfares.com, was told the person, ******, who handle the original booking request was busy and would return my call in 1/2 hour. No surprise, no return phone call!Initial Complaint

Purchased flight tickets through this agency for a certain price. Received a email from the agency claiming I will receive my etickets with the airline within ***** hours. I never received a email with tickets from the airline. Called the business, they said that the tickets I purchased did not include baggage so I would need to upgrade my tickets, also they said that my tickets I purchased for that price were no longer available so I would also need to pay more. They claimed they had called me twice to get me the tickets at that available price but I didnt pick up so they couldnt hold them for me. My call log shows no calls from them, so that was a lie. He told me no refunds or cancellations were allowed, so my options were to pay him more money or lose $437. This business is a classic bait and switch scam and should be no longer allowed to exist. Additionally, ****** and kayak should not advertise this company as a legitimate traveling agency. I now have to cancel my credit card and spend time out of my day rebooking new flights. If possible, I would like them to send me my airline tickets from American Airlines so that I can be done with dealing with them.Initial Complaint

I was sold a ticket for a great price of $229 only to be contacted weeks later by the company to learn that this ticket was a "restricted economy" which did not guarantee my seat on the plane (5th on the waitlist and 3 seats left). This $229 charge was non-refundable and my only option to get on the flight was to spend an additional $152 for a "basic economy" flight. The email I received as a confirmation for this flight was extremely sketchy and the customer service representative demanded that I respond to the email as a confirmation that I agreed to the charges. Moreover, the email claimed that I would be charged $381 and said nothing about the $229 I had already spent being used toward this cost. I refused and instead my call was escalated to a recorded line to his supervisor. Another suspicious behavior of this company is employing customer service agents with names such as "*********************" or "***********************" that do not correlate with their thick accents.Initial Complaint

5-25-2024 ****** 2 airline tickets from cvg to *** for selected times and dates. (6-4-24, 6-17-24)tickets never happened. They say our flight is on standby, and the only way to fix the problem and get ticket conformation is for us to upgrade our tickets for a substantial amount of more money. And if we don't agree to upgrade, they cannot honor our agreement. Also, they said if we don't upgrade we cannot purchase baggage fees from the airline because of discounted fare. I called ***** airlines, and they said this is not true.Booking id : ***** The ad first started with cheap fares.com, then after selecting flight i was directed to bestticketfare.comInitial Complaint

I purchased an airline ticket through a ticketing agency website called bestticketfare.com. The flight was a ****** Airlines flight. I received an email confirmation from best ticket fare with my flight information for $414.89. I noticed the email and receipt said that it was a reservation and I would be emailed the confirmation in a separate email. I never received the confirmation so I emailed them and got a phone call from a different 800 number than what was on their site. I hung up and called the number listed on their site and was directed back to the same person I spoke to in the previous call. They called asking permission to book my flight, but said it was restricted and I could not bring any bags. I never saw this information when booking & I needed bags so they upgraded my "restricted flight" to $942.94" and sent a confirmation. I got a call an hour later saying the return flight was not available so they tried to get me a different flight for higher, I said I could not do that and after about an hour, they were able to magically get me the same flight for $1044.94. After an hour of disputing this, they gave me a $50 reduction for inconvenience bringing the flight to $995.99. My bank account was charged, but they told me my card was declined and could not give me a confirmation number for the flight. I contacted united airlines directly and they could not find any charges from the airline under my name. I checked BBB and saw the * rating and reviews. I checked my account again and saw two charges this time, one for $882.88 and another for $904.38 with the merchant name "UNITED UNITED.CO". I spoke with ****** Airlines and they said that is not their merchant name on charges.Initial Complaint

We ordered 2 reserved seats on a flight on 3/26 from Best Ticket Fare. The next day **** told us oh that was only for one ticket it would be 500 more for the other ticket. I said no, they said 700. I said if we could get both tkts like they had originally told us I would accept. They would not. So I cancelled and asked for a refund or a voucher. They will not and said they collected no money from us. My bank statements shows that American Airlines was the merchant. I didnt buy from American I bought from Best. They have some way they made it look like American Airlines. American says they cant check reservations from that date unless they have a certain number that nobody can provide me with. A big headache. They (Best Tkts)have hundreds of bad reviews doing the same to other people. Ive talked to my bank, American Airlines and Best Fare. No help. I can not take a ****** hit to my bank account. It was ********************* each. Please helpInitial Complaint

I purchased roundtrip airfare from ** to *********** on Friday May 3, 2024 through bestairfare.com. I received an email providing an invoice and some flight dates and times (without the airlines) - stating that another email will be provided with my e-tickets. The next day (5/04/24) when I have not received my e-tickets - I called bestairfare.com using the number provided on the email **************. I was then told that these are restricted discounted tickets and that if I wanted to bring a bag of ***** lbs on board the airplane and be able to checked in a luggage at the airport through ******** airlines (the airline was booked) I would have to pay an additional $123 both ways. This did not include checking the luggage at the airport which would cost between $25-30 each way. The customer service person at bestairfare said the ticket was non-refundable because the tickets has already been issued and said he tried calling me the day I booked it to let me know this was a restricted discounted airfare. I would like to receive full or partial refund given that there were no indication when I purchased the air plane tickets that I would not be able to bring a carry on bag or check iin a luggage without paying for an upgrade. The fact that they have to call to let me know (when I do not pick just from any numbers) about this speaks to ethics issues, as well as, putting me in a situation where I felt I had no choice but to upgrade since this was a one week trip. I believe I should be refunded at least the $123 both ways (including tax) as this information was not provided at the time of my booking.Business Response

This is a clear case of mistaken website identity. We are Best Airfares not best airfare. The number provided to you on the email is not ours. This is some other website you may have booked with and somehow due to some confusion, you have posted the complaint on our website. Please take it off as soon as possible. This is affecting us badly.Initial Complaint

On March 13, I attempted to buy two tickets from website bestticketfares.com. Website lead me to believe I was buying two tickets for $1068.36. I have enclosed a copy of the email confirmation of my intended purchase. Later, I get a call saying that I needed to upgrade and pay more. This was a bait and switch. I told them that I was not going to pay more. On March 13, I called Alaska Airlines and they told me that I only had one ticket for an amount of $901.82. They told me that I need to contact the website. When in contact with the website they would not help me and then they hang up the call on me. I am disputing this charge as this was not my intended purchase. This website is a scam website doing fraudulent activity. I was not helped by either company. Therefore, this dispute is legitimate that I was scammed. I am a victim of fraud.I am disputing the charge of $901.82 as I did not authorize this purchase.I want a refund of the amount of $901.82 to the credit card to make that purchase. I have attached copies of the emails from Bestticketfare and Alaska Airlines.Thank you ***********************
