7/20/23 I was charged for web hosting that I did not even need but yet they charged me for it. 7/21/23 The second one I signed up for is my main web store. I renewed until 2030. After I renewed things went down hill. There servers are so slow I was losing customers. I contacted support multiple times and they said nothing is wrong with there servers. The are mistaken. Contacted support asking for a prorated refund since I can not use the service and they want to give me a coupon for future services. This is unacceptable. Prorate me the difference, cancel the service, and be done with it.Initial Complaint

I have paid Network Solutions to host my website and domain name since 2007. Over the past month (or possibly longer, since I may not have realized). my website has been down. After numerous phone calls over the last week, it was back up and working on 10/15/23 and 10/16/23, and now on 10/17/23, it is not working again. I also was promised that they would notify me if my site was down, and I was not notified. Every time I call them, I sit on the phone listening to different excuses, and the site remains unreliable.Initial Complaint

I am trying to end my business relationship with Network Solutions, a company that handles domain name registrations, among other things. On May 23, 2023, I transferred my business away from Network Solutions and registered my domain name with a different company. Since then, I've called Network Solutions twice (see below) at ************** to request that they close my account. But my account remains open and active. When I called the first time, on August 30 (case ID *********) the agent said he was closing my account as we spoke. But my account remained open and apparently unchanged after the call. On Sept 7 I called again (case ID I-*******). This second agent said that the former agent had neglected to do something right, but that she was successfully "deactivating" the account on the spot, that I would receive no more emails from them, and that all products had been removed from my account. I requested an email confirmation from her and received an email that partially covered my request, but didn't mention closing the account at all. It's important to mention that the only products that were on my account at that time were products that I had never requested or wanted, but that kept appearing on my account as "FREE" products related to a "FREE" domain name that I never requested.
Since Sept 7, my account is unchanged, and I've continued to receive emails from Network Solutions including my Monthly Account Statement listing the 3 "products" they are allegedly providing me. At this time, there is no monetary dispute. I simply want to disengage from this company that I no longer trust. My concern is that at some point they're going to start saying that I owe them money for the "free" products they've been providing me. Please help me close this account once and for all. Thank youInitial Complaint

Back in May 2022, I informed them I wanted to pay for my newly deceased father's website and that I wanted the contact info to be updated on the site. I also paid nearly $200 to renew his site. They asked for a LOT of verification documents which I provided, however my father's website's contact info was NEVER updated. I was very busy, so by the time I was able to check in again it was July, when Network Solutions told me that now they needed my BROTHER'S verification documents, in order to merely update my father's website's contact info. So, I worked with my brother to get all his verifications together and filled out their forms. I emailed them to the active Network Solutions email address and NEVER heard back. I emailed them several times and they ignored me. So, I called again and they claimed I needed to upload all the forms and docs again - ths time to a link. I got busy again and checked in again in September 2023. I got more run-around and got "Supervisor *******"on the phone. I spent about 90 MINUTES with them last Thurs Sept 21. ******* said to send all my brother's docs again - this time via email and that they would automatically send myself or my brother the "name tag" verification email. So, I followed up today to see what the status is and they are claiming they "CLOSED" the case!!!!! Now they are gving me MORE run-around!!! I just want website access that I've ALREADY been verified for AND PAID FOR!!!! Seems they can't or won't give me access so they are just stalling. TRASH GARBAGE "COMPANY"Initial Complaint

I pay network solutions to manage three websites. On two of them, ********************** and *******************, the contact forms offered as tools by the internet provider stopped working four months ago. What happens is on **********************, the contact form does not work at all (it is THEIR contact form) and I receive no feedback. On *******************, when visitors fill out the contact form, they are warned that it is NOT secure and discouraged from sending their info to have their memorial posted. This is ruining both businesses as visitors cannot access me through the forms. I have repeatedly asked network solutions to fix it at least FOUR TIMES over the last four months. Not only have they not fixed it, they have refused to credit me the months when their service has not worked. I also paid them over $250 to optimize my website and five weeks later, nothing has changed. My website still does not appear at a higher listing on google or any other search engine after paying hundreds of dollars. I want these problems fixed.Initial Complaint

I've been a customer of Network Solutions for over 10 years. I contacted them over a year ago about an issue I was having with my services. We resolved the issue, and they said that they would give me a free hour of technical support. I did not need or want this, but it was free. I never used this service. What they did not tell me is that they were enrolling me in an ongoing customer support plan that auto-renews. They ended up charging me $143.91 dollars over the course of 10 payments for this service (the first one was "free").
I called and asked if they could refund me this money. They said the service was expired now so they could not. I asked if it could be applied to my renewal that just happened 2 day prior for my needed services (hosting, domain name, email). They said they could not. I asked if it could be applied to my next year's charges. They said they could not.
The only thing they said they could do was to give me "discounts" if I chose to pay for another year today! These are NOT discounts. What they do is start off trying to enroll you in the most expensive packages and services (>$300 for SSL???) and then bring the number down when you push back.
Basically, They enrolled me in a service and hoped I would not catch it. They stole $160 from me and refused to do anything about it.
I am attaching my order history. The line items in question are called Minutes and they are part of the My Time Support product. First charge was on 03/28/22 and the last was on 11/28/22Initial Complaint

I decided to move my domain registrations to alternative providers around six months ago. Normally, transferring a domain is, and should be, a straightforward and simple process. It is ending a service not ending a marriage. Unfortunately, Networks Solutions have become more and more overpriced compared with most alternative registrars. Therefore, many customers are trying to transfer their domains to new providers like myself. Network Solution provide and option to transfer in their management portal. However, the portal then proceeds to try upsell services and absurd warnings about domain transfer together with many unnecessary and irrelevant questions. The word to describe it is tortuous. Having jumped through the many hoops, if you last that long, you are told that you will be sent the transfer code within 3 days. There is no reason not the send the code immediately... it is a arbitrary and unnecessary delay. However, the biggest problem is that frequently the code provided after this delay is invalid. Clearly this is churlish behaviour by Network Solutions to discourage customers from transferring away from their services and making the process as long and as unpleasant as possible. It is a clear violation of ICANN rules on domain transfer.Initial Complaint

Network Solutions charged me for renewing a domain name before the renewal date. Because I was not able to speak with anyone at Network Solutions, I contacted my credit card company which removed the charge. Network Solutions then disputed the removal, so the charge was placed back on my card. I was finally able to speak to someone at Network Solutions and we agreed that I was not renewing the domain name. They then claimed that I needed to have the charge removed on my credit card by Capital One. However, Capital One maintains that it is Network Solutions responsibility to refund me the $140.03.
