On 10/22/23 I placed an order for two 1-ounce ******** gold maple leaf coins. I received email confirmation that day, the order number is ******, the amount of the order was $4,123.96 and I requested that Gainesville Coins hold my order for pickup at the Gainesville Coins showroom in ****, ******* (see attachment). I sent a wire transfer for this amount to Gainesville Coins, who sent me an email confirmation of receipt on 10/26/23 (see attachment). There was no information on either email regarding delivery time (see attachments). On 10/31/23 I went to Gainesville Coins showroom in **** ******* and inquired about my order. I was told by the man behind the counter that my order would take 3-5 weeks and that I would receive an email when my order was ready for pickup. I called and emailed Gainesville Coins on 12/5/23 with no response. I called and emailed again on 12/15/23 and received an email response signed "****" restating that when my order was ready to ship I would be notified (see attachment). I called Gainesville Coins on 12/27/23 and was told orders were taking about 7 weeks to fulfill. I informed the person that it had been 9 weeks since my wire had been received. I was told there was nothing this person could do other than alert the staff of my inquiry. I would like my order fulfilled right away or a full refund.Customer Answer

On 11/13/2023 I ordered 60 2023 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coin $50 BU from Gainesville Coins by order number ******, and paid in full by wire transfer. Gainesville confirmed my order and confirmed receipt of the wire transfer of $122,530.96. The confirmation from them also included the following statement, which I understood, and expected at the time of my order."Due to unprecedented demand along with the fluid situation as it relates to COVID-19, all orders may have further extended delays which are past our normal processing time and any already stated product delay dates."I contacted **** (Gainesville Coins) by telephone on or about November 26, asking for expected delivery date. He confirmed my order and insisted normal delivery was 3 to 5 weeks (surprise to me) and they were on track and would would email me the expected ship date. They did NOT do so.Next, on December 19, 2023, I sent **** an email reminding him his promised 5 week delivery time had expired.I received the following response from **** on December 20, 2023:*****, Please allow me to explain how this order will progress. Your order will be shipping after the first of the year. Due to the value of your order it will ship in 3 different shipments which I will upgrade to *** Ground at no cost to you. With each shipment we will need confirmation of delivery from you to release the next shipment. Our insurance limits the value in transit to any one location for security of said shipment. Once the first shipment has shipped you will receive an email with the tracking details.In summary, January 2, 2023 is MORE than 7 weeks since this order and full payment was confirmed by Gainesville Coins, and now they are "promising" 3 PARTIAL SHIPMENTS starting sometime after eight weeks spaced out by requiring receipt confirmation from me for each shipment before the subsequent package is shipped. This is beginning to look like a case of wire fraud to me.Business Response

I purchased silver from Gainesville Coins on 11/7/23, order #******. My check cleared my bank on 11/17/23. I called several times and there was no answer. I did get through twice. Once to confirm my check was received and once later to inquire about my order. I was told it was being processed. 3 orders were made on October 4-5th 2023. my checks were cashed 10 days later with no update, I sent an email in November with no response, and still no update on the website. My check was received on 10/24/2023 by Gainesville Coins for the order placed on 10/18/2023. Check clearing takes an additional 10-days according to their policy. The two identical products were not pre-orders and were showing in stock. As of today, my orders page shows this order as "Not yet shipped."I have called four times (with long hold periods) beginning about a month ago and I cannot get an answer on the expected shipment date of the products. On October 4, I ordered two (2) ******** Maple 1 oz. Gold Coins from Gainesville. I paid by check. The check has cleared. We have not received the product after at least 4 emails and 2 telephone calls. I also sent a letter to the president requesting shipment of the order, but no response. We have ordered five other times from the company. We live in ****, ******* so this is a local business and we drop off our checks and pick up our orders. We had to wait for the other orders to come in, but nowhere near this long. I fear with all the negative reviews, the business will go into bankruptcy and we will suffer a huge loss. A related company did. On November 7th, 2023 Gainesville Coins received and deposited my check for an order of coins I have not received, It has been six weeks since Gainesville Coins cashed my check and I have not received any detailed information regarding my order. I have reached out on four occasions by email: twice on November 29th, once on December 7th and once on December 13th. I did receive a response on December 13th but the content was vague and unclear as to when I should expect my order. I felt It was a response to buy time. I followed all of the steps Gainesville Coins asked of its customers to secure a purchase and be received in a timely manner. I feel that I have been deceived by Gainesville Coins marketing and customer service and I find it suspicious that a product that was advertised by Gainesville Coins is taking an unusual amount of time to be delivered while customer service is unavailable and unresponsive.Business Response
