BEWARE. 3 Brothers Moving is a scam. I wasn’t able to give a zero. Do not hire them. They were not the movers that showed up. They were a broker. They verbally told me I was getting 2 trucks and 2 crews to move commercial equipment 20-25 minutes between locations. I told the gentleman, Kevin Torres, who is a Senior Relocation Specialist, that I had a commercial kitchen, other equipment and table and chairs. He offered 2 trucks.
One truck and four men showed up thinking they were moving furniture. They were with a moving company from 2 hours away. They also said they were only allowed to fill the truck 3/4 full because that is what I paid for. They were very nice. But 3 Brothers Moving would not make good on what they verbally told me. I called Kevin and he agreed that he was sending 2 trucks and 2 moving crews. On top of all this, 3 Brothers overcharged me by $300 and said it was a glitch in their system. They amended my document which I showed to the moving company that showed up, but they did not have the amended document. So I had to pay the extra $300. So at the end of the day I paid $6869 for 2.5 hours of time. Never use 3 Brothers Moving as they will say what ever it takes to “win” your business.

I had to choose one star. I'd choose zero. I did not go with 3 Brothers. I spent time with them but I also spent time with other brokers and carriers. And I did my homework. I must say they were honest about what they could and couldn't do. Because I'm disabled and am shipping cats, there are things that needed to be nailed down. All of that is OK. What is NOT okay is their response when I said I was going with another company.
Victor or Dave or whoever was simply unprofessional. He told me thanks for wasting his time. I quote "I appreciate you taking up our time and completely wasting it."
I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was. I turned down another broker who did not do the same.
I don't know who these people are. They will reel you in and promise you pie in the sky.
If I cannot deal with a business person professionally, that person doesn't deserve anyone's business.

Scam: Lack of transparency and Bait and Switch , Breach of contract
    1. They are not transparent about the fact that they are only a broker., In fact they lead you to believe they are movers, since that is how they officially name themselves. They also implied this in their front page of listed commitments, which says they will provide “professional door to door service and expert advice and guidance throughout the course of the move”. They also assign you a contact person when you first sign, who says he will be your contact person throughout. (Not true) The only mention of their right to subcontract is buried below commitments. They never inform you that they can and do choose the worst moving companies and that you have no say in who they assign you to.
    2. They tell you when you sign that your belongings will be delived in 3 to 4 days.(Not true, it was 25 days) They talk you into paying extra for packing, which gets doubled, day of the move. They fail to tell you "Packing" means throwing your belongs into huge boxes (chairs and lamps). Only glassware is packed properly.
    3. They say that upon delivery, the movers will “ reassemble of all items disassembled by movers” during initial packing. This was untrue. Movers left me with huge high boxes with unassembled lamps. (Breach of Contract)
    4. They say they will provide” professional door to door service and expert advice and guidance throughout the course of the move” Not true. The initial person assigned to you stops answering phone and emails once they subcontract you to a moving company. Customer service refused to answer phone after first week. They just dumped me on terrible movers. They do not tell you who the movers are or send you any paper work which would give you a heads up and a chance to review the subcontracted movers performance and object if their performance is terrible, which it was. Breach of contract

I’d give zero stars if it was an option. They arrived to move me on a Sunday claiming they would only take a cashiers check or cash. It was Sunday and banks are closed. They never shared they would not accept a
Check or cc. When they saw my furniture they almost doubled my estimate. Buyer beware. Do not use this company!

Worse experience ever. Moved my move date to fit their time frame. Paid a 586.50 deposit and because I could not move on their date, my calls, voicemails, texts were not answered or returned. And I am filing a dispute to get refunded because they didn’t ever service my area. They hunt you down to get the deposit and then they don’t deliver. Left me stuck two days before I had to move. SCAM STAY AWAY FROM This COMPANY. Then to top things off their contract states deposits are non refundable unless approved by management. That’s a piece of crap, who in these days have 586.50 to just give away. You should be shut down and when it is all said and done “when you wrongfully take something from somebody; GOD RIGHTFULLY TAKES SOMETHING AWAY FROM YOU THAT HE GAVE YOU it’s just a matter of time”. You don’t even deserve a “1 star rating”.

I contacted 3 Brothers Moving on June 4th based on their advertising as a Veteran owned and operated company. As a Military veteran, I called to schedule a move from the East Coast to Western North Carolina. This would be a 350 to 400 mile commute. The sales people I spoke with were very helpful and explained that if I needed to get with them regarding any questions or concerns, to call them direct. The move date was scheduled for June 20th - 21st, and I would be contacted prior to pick up. Needless to say, I was contacted by a third party member of this company, and was told when to expect them to arrive. The driver called me and informed me that they were running behind, and the delivery would not be there at the time scheduled. After speaking with his management, they informed me that the contract stated that the delivery could take as long as two days. This was not mentioned with the sales person. I called the numbers given to me, and to customer service. Left several messages, and didn’t receive any response from the sales team.
At any rate, after paying the upfront fee of $1284.00, leaving a balance of around $1400, I was feeling real uneasy. At that time. I called and canceled the delivery, and got a U-Haul. Meantime, the truck showed up at the pickup site. I talked to the driver and explained to him that I had canceled and he needed to leave. The truck they were driving didn’t have any markings of 3 Brothers Moving, and the DOT # didn’t match what was sent to me on the bill of lading. Another flag that concerned me. At any rate, I would encourage anyone looking for a trustworthy mover, DO NOT USE 3 BROTHERS MOVING!!!
It’s a shame that companies are allowed to advertise Veteran owned and operated, and that is definitely not the case with this company. After they get your upfront fee, the scheduling is turned over to a third party!!!
    Unreal!!!
I still have not heard from the Salesman that sold me their service!!!
3 Brothers Moving is not reliable!!!

I signed a moving order with 3 Brothers Moving & Storage. Then I was warned to check their ratings, which I did and cancelled the order within 24 hours of hiring them. I put a stop payment on the deposit amount with my bank. I received an email from their customer service the next day telling me in bold red letters that said: "Do not charge back, dispute, or stop pay payments during this time period." When I called the customer service rep who was listed on that email, I told him that I had stopped the payment right after I sent the cancellation email, and was never told anything about the warning not to stop the payment. His response was: "Oh, then you are in big trouble. That means you have to pay the full deposit." I felt intimidated and threatened. I am a senior citizen and have been taken advantage of.

BBB will not allow 0 stars but this group qualifies. My review is intended to warn ALL potential customers. 3 Brothers is not a real business just well trained ******* who each play a part and follow scripts. They sucker you in with competitive quotes and do not commit to a firm price. a bid is based on truck cube using pieces you list to estimate. Their algorithm is for doll furniture so plan on cost doubling at minimum no exaggeration it happened to me. The confidence game calls it bait and switch. Once on the hook with a nonrefundable deposit they will continue to raise prices. It is like a ransom, holding something you value as leverage. Important to note 3 Brothers is a BROKER so you are unaware who is actually contractor. Standards are low to max profit margin also how they deflect blame or accountability. Since money was effectively lost I sacrificed more rather than trying to reschedule. They reassure me until another direct debit is made but immediately ends calling customer service. Each time I got bad news: delays, only cash after agreeing to Venmo, etc. Even tried charging for blankets I provided (not in quote either). Initial $1,500 quote became $4,500 at delivery otherwise would not unload the truck. My daughter was on site so not wanting her to deal with these crooks I paid the difference. Afterwards I called regularly and sent pics to show overstated cube. That is when stalling began claiming they must wait for original invoice from 3rd party. I gave them mine but policy said it must come from them? My initial request was late February but ONLY interim contact was me to them. No courtesy call to say working on it or sorry for delay. I realize now there is no resolution in calculated scams. They victimize honest trusting people, 3 Brothers offices are all over the US so buyer beware. Especially if a guy named Vince answers hang up! Their shame is a complete lack of integrity. Worst company on the planet just wish this review was posted before my call.
