  Xulon Press along with Salem Publishing did a remarkable job guiding me through the confusing world of self publishing.   I'm a new author and this was unexplored territory for me. I needed a way to publish my work. Xulon was prefect on the production end. I would have liked to have seen more assistance on the marketing end mostly because I'm a writer and not a salesman.

  I can only report that publishing my first book with Xulon was extremely positive at every level. In fact I would say I received the 5 star treatment! I cannot recommend them highly enough. At each stage of progressing to print and then in post production I received very professional treatment. Each person was very skilled at their job. I had a tight deadline: they committed to helping me to make it.
  I particularly wanted to say Michael was exceptional in taking me on, helping me through each phase, encouraging and supportive. He went beyond all expectations.
  Xulon Press are a great company. I am already recommending them to other potential writers. I am not sure there is another book in me but if there is I would have no hesitation to work with them again. Thank you

  This company is shady and almost border on fraudulent. Took over a year to receive initial royalties and, since then, I tried canceling with them every year but they continue to keep my book. I have never received anything since. Not a notice of sales, royalties, anything. When you attempt contact, they just avoid and refuse to respond. They are a SCAM operation. DO NOT GET INVOLVED.

  I am so glad that we have been able to talk and work through some of the issues you have experienced throughout your time with our publishing company. Starting out as part of a publishing merger truly put you and your book project in an uncomfortable position from the start. Your feelings and responses are understandable. While I cannot change the issues of the past, we truly respect you as a customer and want to finish up your business with us well.
  Since our last conversation, we have reached out a few times to get the necessary paperwork to release your royalties, but with no success. We understand you are busy, but I would welcome a call back or email reply so we can serve you better - even as you close your account with us.

  No- this is still a company I STRONGLY suggest you stay away from. Although the initial conversation was pleasant enough and the representative understood my frustration, the ONE email they sent re:royalty paperwork (that went to my junk mail) does not justify any sort of good service of their part. They did call again and I did the paperwork immediately. SIX WEEKS later I get an email saying the account, that was set up by the company they acquired, had my nickname as the owner and so I needed to file more paperwork to change the ownership of the account. I can not express to you the disorganization and unprofessional nature of this company. DO NOT GET INVOLVED.

  Having written eleven books I turned to Xulon Press to begin publishing in Spanish. Toni ***** helped me ten years ago with my first book through Xulon Press and went out of her way to give me exemplary customer service. Toni exhibited great expertise in the publishing realm and alleviated my fear of transitioning to a book in Spanish. Then I was handed off to Kim Small. What a team! Kim shepherded me through the process—after thirty-five years of pastoral ministry having shepherd many—I felt secure.   Having no experience with publishing a book, I found Xulon press to be very helpful and patient with us during this process. My role was helping some friends publish material they had written over many years. Xulon provided input and general guidance that was helpful to us. Sickness, accidents, minor edits during reviews, and adding some extra material created some delays, but They patiently stayed with us, and the final product was all that the author hoped it would be. We hope to have an even better experience as we start on a second manuscript since we have learned from this one.

  I was ripped off by xulon press I published my first book in 2008. Xulon press lost my submission twice. They didn't know how it kept disappearing. They gave the excuse once the agent handling by book had left the company. After them losing my material more than once I called a private detective agency in Florida and paid them to hand deliver my manuscript for proof. They couldn't say they didn't receive it. After everything was finalized my book was put in print. They encouraged me to pay over five hundred dollars to be in their Christmas catalogue and other specials they ran to get my book noticed. I bought the press packet. I didn't receive one response after that. I phoned the company later and asked why I hadn't received a single royalty check. They said that someone lost my tax info form. I sent it. After a long period of time and nothing was received by Xulon I phoned and email again. They wouldn't tell me how many books sold. I finally ordered five hundred copies to give to people for free. They did record ever selling the books. I told them I ordered them without using my writers discount just to show they weren't giving me credit. I haven't received a single royalty check, None responds Sherry *** ***** ***** ******** ***** **********

  I'd first like to apologize for the poor experience you've had with our company, that is certainly never our intention. I have done a brief review of your account and do see that your account is currently on hold for nonpayment of your annual renewal fees for about 6 years or so.
  
  I don't see the 500 books purchased though, which is concerning. I'd like to have our team request a Lifetime Print Report from our printer so they can track down where those were purchased and cross reference that with you.
  
  I'm going to have our Author Experience Supervisor reach out to you asap so that we can try to get this all resolved!

I have published two books with Xulon now and would definitely consider a 3rd or more.
