On 01/22/2024 my minor (17 year old) daughter was influence by a scam call and she was told to withdraw cash for the amount of $12,862 dollars from a youth savings account. Never to be questioned by the teller at Space Coast Credit Union or even the parent (myself) to be notified of the excessive withdrawal of funds. No IRS form **** was even presented for the amount exceeding ****** dollars for the withdraw. When going to the bank in person to question them about their deficient actions, the manager informed us that she talked to the teller. That was not present at the time, and could not provide audio of the transaction only video could be provided. Also I was told that my minor daughter could withdraw any amount of funds with out parental permission since she was 17 and they told us that ******* state law says 16 years old is when they are considered to be an adult. Mean while all our other bank accounts with my daughter, require her to be 18 to have full access to her accounts.I am requesting they reimburse us the fulll amount due to their inaction and even questioning to preventing this scam. They advised us that since our minor daughter withdrew the funds they are not responsible. A police report has been filed in this scam action and money will not be reimbursed.I believe the bank tellers inaction was very unprofessional and if my daughter was confronted at the time of this it would have prevented all fraud actions.Business Response

I am deeply troubled by the unauthorized sharing of my nonpublic information with credit bureaus, resulting in inaccuracies on my credit report. July of 2022 SSCU convinced me to apply for the HomeLoan with them at 2.I'm still disappointed that ****'s loan department ethics. **** did not follow ****** *** guidelines and just lied. I qualified for the loan applied for, but it was not in SCCU best interest to ***** the loan because interest rates were going up at that time (they took forever to process my application). I checked all the guidelines and I complied. At the 11th hour after misleading me that everything was ok, **** said that it was not compliant because I had filed for extension on my tax return (the guidelines allow for this as long as the other years tax returned are provided). I checked with a lawyer and I was right. Because of SCCU, I had to pay to extend the *********** contract in order to avoid losing my deposit and I had close in a rush using a hard-money lender at a much higher interest rate (SCCU used up all the time available and this was my only quick option or lose my deposit). **** acted in bad faith because with the same parameters I was well qualified with lenders (everyone uses FannieMae/FreddyMac); but **** kept insisting to give them a shot and so I made the mistake of trying with them. In my life time I have closed on many, many loans with different lenders and never have I been exposed to such lack of professionalism. I've worked for fortune 500 companies and although nobody is perfect and mistakes were made, we always focused on making the customer whole and this was the success factor which creates customer loyalty. However SCCU and its customer care, management, and up those up the ladder does not seem to understand this... specially in a competitive environment such as banking. It leaves a lot to be desired.Business Response

Space Coast has shared or given my perosal information or added innacurate information from a third party, the public database to my personal private bank account/transactions. I further did not authorize them or sign any documentation giving any such permission. My address is private and is not to be shared with anyone public/private or otherwise without my written and express permission. I have been the victim of identity theft in the past any why i do not make my address, phone or SSN public knowledge. furthermore no census agency has any right to access my bank information and my bank does not have any authorized permission from me to furnish them my information! I bank with Space Coast not any census agency. This borders violation of 15 US Code 1681e and my Opt Out rights to my privacy.Business Response

I applied for a home equity line of credit with this company for a new home I just purchased. I have had 2 previous lines of credit with perfect payment history with the same company on different properties. When I initially applied, they erroneously told me they could not do my loan due to me just purchasing the new home and in that conversation I told them all of the parameters- that it was a multi family and that I owned it in an LLC. When they told me that the denial was in error, they approved me. During underwriting, they came back after they approved me and told me that i was no longer approved because of the property. When I asked to speak to a manager, Alvaro R****, told me that I could to a quit claim deed to take the home out of the LLC and then transfer it back into the LLC after I close. This is fraud not to mention this would cost me thousands in additional fees to do so. When I mentioned that was fraud, I got an email the next day saying my loan was denied.
I felt lied to and I felt that I was encouraged to commit fraud only to have my application denied. My home as plenty of equity, I have great credit, and my income was already approved. I want the line of credit I applied for and I want the parties that misled me along the way held accountable.Business Response

Space coast credit union garnished my wages due to an account having a negative balance in a completely different account. When I spoke with a rep they transferred me to credit solutions and the woman Kathy was extremely rude and continuously spoke over me. When I initially spoke with her a few days prior she told me specifically any money put in the savings account would be used towards the account with the negative balance to cover the fees. I will repeat anything put into the savings account not other checking account will be taken to cover the negative balance. They took the remaining 187 dollars I had left in my account to use towards fees. I would like those funds back. I have no money to eat or pay for the bills I do have due to them taking the remaining funds I have in my account. This is a terrible way to do business by not fully explaining to the consumer that they would take money from all of your accounts and not just the one I was told the funds would be taken from. This is very frustrating and disappointing considering I've been a customer for a long time and this is how they treat you. I will be getting a lawyer involved in this matter.Business Response
