Lennar Homes is a GARBAGE builder. They did such an AWFUL job cutting corners on our house that we've had HORRIBLE roof leaks since DAY ONE. The "warranty" period, which was a joke, ws nothing but Lennar pointing fingers at other people while water would POUR through our roof and INTO OUR DUCT SYSTEM in addition to our walls and closets. Now, after just FIVE YEARS, I've had to put on a brand new roof, I'm have to completely replace the duct work upstairs because of the years of water damage they wouldn't fix, and I'm going to have nearly my entire upstairs demo'd to remediate water AND MOLD damage from these HACKS. When all is said and done, the repairs will have cost us well over 150k. Lennar is THE WORST and I would rather live in a box under a bridge before I chose to live in one of their garbage homes ever again.

They have a wonderful new home warranty. The only problem is they don't honor anything but the simplest and least expensive items. In my home that is less than 2 years old I have 20 18"x18" floor tiles that are cracked. One set of cracks runs the entire width of my home! They have the nerve to call it "normal" and "only cosmetic"! 20 tiles!! I was in my previous that was built in the 90s with floor tile all over and not once did I have a cracked floor tile. Normal and cosmetic. I don't think so!I would never recommend to anyone to purchase a Lennar built home! Cheap material, shoddy workmanship, and less than honorable business practices.

I would never recommend buying a home from Lennar. It was a nightmare from start to finish and still is to this day. The process took 3 agonizing months to close because their mortgage team had issues with us not being married or FL residents yet. Then we found a ton of things wrong with OUR BRAND NEW HOME. They made us do a new home introduction 1.5 months before we closed and then a month after we closed when we finally got to move in, we found a whole list of things that made our 800K home feel like a foreclosure home. I cannot take a bath in our tub because they have so much c*** caked on the bottom of it from painting and whatever else they used, our appliances are rusting very bad, our floors are uneven and the furniture rocks back and forth. Poor quality and they rip you off on price. The home next to us (a townhome as well) sold for 300K less than we paid and they have more sq footage. I could go on and on but its not worth my time anymore to deal with them. My parents were going to buy a home as well and after our experience I told them to never buy a Lennar home. Thanks but no thanks Lennar. You couldnt even send us our Key fobs. We had to drive an hr and back to pick them up. Real classy

My lennar home is less than 5 years old. Recently my drain line under the slab started and lennar refuses to fix it. Add in broken tile they wont fix and a leaks in the roof at two years ( which they did repair) their quality and workmanship ****. I would no recommend them to my worst enemy.

Rude and unprofessional. Dont buy if youre a single bc the trades they send in during the warranty period may assault you. You may have to go to the hospital after cops and EMS urge you to. Then you will have to get naked, picked scraped and clipped for the kit. You wont get to keep the clothes you have on, and the kicker..Lennar doesnt have a record of the SCHEDULED visit, and will not give me a spreadsheet so I can figure it out on my own.

Lennar is a company with some very questionable business practices. From the start of the process we were given very conflicting information about almost every aspect of the purchase. My wife and I tried to purchase a home in ****** through Lennar. We were given pre-approvals through Lennar Mortgage and proceeded through the purchase as normal. Less than a week before our agreed upon move in/closing date, Lennar Mortgage tells us we are not actually approved and that our loan was denied because I hadn't been in my current job long enough. This was information that was available from day one. Lennar led us on until the very end of the purchase process, and then pulled the rug out from under us. We paid hundreds of dollars for a home inspection and other costs that were wasted thanks to Lennar's incompetence. If you have 50% down payment and have been at your job for 10 years, Lennar may be a suitable option for you. Otherwise they seem to have zero knowledge of the mortgage lending world they inhabit. Giving two stars because the staff that we met in person were nice and seemed to understand their job. In addition, this seemed to be one of the rare instances where Lennar actually built the home properly. Prior to move in the house seemed to be of good quality, likely due to the local contractor having some pride in their work. I cannot in good faith recommend that anybody work with Lennar, and I will tell anybody who asks that they are almost guaranteed a poor experience.

BEWARE ~ One of the worst builders. We closed on our home in July 2024 in ********************************************. Bad construction, unlevel bedrooms to the point drawers will not stay closed on chest, dresser, etc. Countertops have stains from placing normal items on them. Caulking around shower is already peeling off and water seeping into walls. Surprise - that's not covered under their worthless warranty. Walls are not straight. You can clearly see the wall indents toward the floor. Carpet is already pulling away from stairs. Inground sprinkler system is nothing short of a nightmare. Creates flooding and ***** like conditions, including horrible smell. We've had to work with an outside company to regulate and try to fix. Garage floor already has a huge crack in foundation. They use the cheapest materials on everything and charge outrageous amounts of money for their homes. One of our biggest regrets is purchasing a home they built. PLEASE PLEASE heed this warning.

The entire process is ridiculous from the first day forward...we requested our deposit back because they couldn't finance us and we are told it is going to be 2-4 weeks. Save your misery and do not deal with this company and their self-serving way of doing business.

Shoddy Construction and Shameless Lies: Run. Away. Now. My advice to anyone even considering purchasing a home from Lennar @ ************ or anywhere else in ***** run, and run fast. After my own inspection, including using thermal cameras and moisture meters, we discovered shocking issues walls without insulation, AC ducts pressing against the ceiling already causing drywall nails to come out and ceiling cracks, and moisture readings in areas that shouldve been dry. And it wasnt just a fluke; a professional home inspector, hired by Lennar, confirmed the elevated moisture levels. Yet, Lennars answer was a 3rd inspection in an attempt to dismiss the findings and brought in another inspector who claimed everything was fine. They will do anything to avoid fixing their shoddy work. My home inspector, who has **************************************************************************** town, when I showed him the thermal images, stated, Wow, yeah I havent see that before but to me thats definitely an issue. Something is going on there, it should never be wet like it is. He later added, and he turned out to be correct when he said, Dont let them give you any excuses and tell them you want it fixed.theyll try anything not to do it. We know new owners in ************ that have had multiple plumbing leaks, roof leak, and windows leaks - they've been there about 5 months.Lennar could drop the price another $100,000, and I wouldnt go to contract with them again. They clearly defaulted on the agreement. They ignored critical issues, failed to create a punch list after multiple requests, and didnt fulfill contractual obligations including completing a new home orientation, which is required to take place prior to closing per their contract. In spite of written notice of their default, theyve ghosted us completely, and our deposit is sitting in their bank account. Dont make the same mistake I did give your business to ANYONE but Lennar.
