1 starits been 5 month and 4 service calls and a the brand new Kitchen Aid dishwasher has never worked. It leeks, beeps non stop and continues to run. We had the dish washer installed in mid October and as of March 3rd it still does not work. Each time the Tech comes out he tells me it is a different problem. When I call Whirlpool they do not show any notes and don't even show he has been here. I thought when had a lemon law for problems like this.Review fromBrendan D

1 starTechnician “allergic” to animals shouldn’t have their own zone, and certainly shouldn’t be scheduling appointments only to cancel the day of for said reason. Absolutely terrible experience. If that is a legitimate excuse, then should be screening appointments, not waiting weeks only to get rescheduled. Insane.Review fromMonica T

Flamingo was dispatched from Kitchen Aid service scheduling on their website. The tech came out on January 19th and said the board was bad due to being on top of the drawer where water collects when the ice machine malfunctions - both problems I have. Ice dispenser doesn't close after using, then it thaws the ice and causes the fridge to continuously run until it completely shuts off. $4400 fridge. He said I can't fix it today as I have to order the board - so I'll reschedule. I got a scheduling notice - and as quick as I got it they cancelled it and ghosted me. I can't get through on the phone and my fridge is still failing!!!! Is this a scam to come back later and tell me it is out of warranty??? Or did he say that in error???? I have a home video system WITH sound. How shall I proceed????? Fridge still needs the ice maker closure device fixed and a new board like he said he was ordering.Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

We are very sorry to hear your new unit is malfunctioning. I can assure you we are doing all we can to repair your refrigerator as soon as possible. We did contact you to advise the appointment will need to be cancelled due to the parts not arriving before your scheduled appointment. We are at the mercy of the manufacturer regarding part availability. The moment your part arrives we will contact you to proceed with scheduling an appointment. Please feel free to contact Whirlpool directly. If you have any concerns with the part availability. During high volume times, our call center can have a longer hold time than normal. We understand the inconvenience and your time is valuable to us. Please feel free to either use our call back feature or text us. You are important to us and want to assure we attend to your needs. As long as the original appointment was scheduled when your warranty is in effect, you will not be charged for any repairs. Even with the delayed turnaround with parts. I am looking to warn all the customers. Unfortunately whirlpool works with them only in my area. Since my issue failed to be resolved for the 3x that they came out to fix it. They have rescheduled 3x claiming that the technician called out he was not feeling good and a host of other reasons up to this point I think the technician realizes they can’t resolve my issue and therefore they keep playing this game where they reschedule and the day before or day of service they call me to reschedule again. The worst was when I received a voicemail in the evening the night before the service only for them not to actually reschedule but for me to call and reschedule!!! If you’re going to cancel my appointment then you’re going to reschedule right????? It’s insane I’m not wanting to deal with this company ever again I called whirlpool and asked them for a new dryer.Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

Hello. We are sorry to hear about your dryer not functioning properly. We do sympathize with your situation and always do our best to complete all repairs as soon as possible. Unfortunately like many businesses these days, we have been short staffed due to the nature of the current times. This is something we are not satisfied with and doing all we can to bring more qualified technicians into our company. We have been in business for over 15 years and we are Whirlpools largest service contractor in the country. We take pride in what we do but like many we have had some challenges. 1 starIf zero stars was an option that's exactly what this company would get. I had an appointment scheduled for 1/5/23 between 2 pm - 7pm. I called at 4 pm to ask if they had an ETA for the technician. I was told that I would be the last customer of the day. I received a call from the technician at 7:20 telling me I need to reschedule because he was TIRED and HUNGRY. I was like WTH? I took off a whole day of work and you're not even going to come and then you have the nerve to tell me to reschedule. I called the next morning to get on the schedule for the next day and was told their next appointment wasn't until 1/20/13. Say whatttttt!!! I'm the one that was inconvenienced, and you can't get me an appointment until 1/20/23. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they would need to take a message and have a manager return my call. This will take 24 to 48 hours. Please tell me why today is 1/11/23 and I still haven't received a return call from a manager. CUSTOMER BEWARE find another company!!!Review fromDexter S

1 starWaited seven months for a control panel, it was installed this week and the microwave menu does not pull up. Unable to talk to a real person at Flamingo appliance or Jennair. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. Our Thanksgiving was ruined and now they are telling us it will be December 27th before someone can look at it. We have a large Christmas gathering planned that will be ruined as well. The service company is terrible as well as Jennair. Do not buy Jennair appliances we have had nothing but trouble, they are absolutely junk.Review fromColeen C

1 starFlamingo Appliance Service should not be in business.They are unethical in their business practices. Unfortunately, we were told by Maytag they are the "authorized" repair company to use. Our Maytag refrigerator (new in June 2019) stopped making ice in Sept 2022. We called Maytag who referred us to Flamingo. The first repair technician replaced both the ice maker and the on/off switch, neither of which fixed the problem. He called a friend who suggested looking under the kickplate in the front for wires that might be chaffed due to opening and closing the door. The technician had no supplies with him and said he would have to return another day. My husband is a mechanic and had wire and connectors in the garage. The technician used OUR supplies to fix and then charged us $188.00 for the repair. Two weeks later, the ice maker stopped working again. When we called we were told the repair would be covered under the 90 day labor warranty. The second technician came out and stated he would have to order an ice-maker and put that in and quoted another $166 for that repair (parts and labor). When we stated the first technician already replaced the ice maker and it did not fix the problem, he said nothing was notated on the bill, so we would have to pay for a new ice-maker and labor to put it in. After several rescheduled appointments,(by them) the second technician replaced the ice-maker and refused to honor the 90 day labor warranty stating it was a different problem. The problem was the same - the ice maker stopped working! He refused to leave our home without payment of $166 ($90 for ice-maker and $66 labor tax $10). We called Flamingo several times (after several attempts and no callback they finally called back today) and have refused to refund the $66 labor charge. We only asked them to honor their 90 day warranty on labor. and refund the $66 labor. Unethical and poor customer service - if there was a zero rating they would have it from us.Review fromAlfredo A

1 starKitchenaid, now Whirlpool, directed me to Flamingo svc comp, to come look at my new oven, internal glass shattered during self cleaning, the tech gave a repair date, and not met, there was confusion with the next appointment, but tech showed up anyway only to tell me he was sorry "the glass was already broken...", I said you just noticed this...in unbelief, he said sorry, next time I'll order 2 panes. If 0 stars were an option, I would choose it. We moved into our new Minto built house on September 20 and have had nothing but trouble with our Whirlpool Gold side by side refrigerator

We've had a technician here twice to fix it. The issue is with frost build up on the coils in the freezer compartment, and the refrigerator section is at 55 degrees. The first technician said it was a wiring issue so he did "something" with the wires. The second one was here today and initially he said it was a defrost heater issue, which I think has been the issue all along. When he contacted his boss man to update him and get a technician scheduled again, boss man told him the issue is with wiring (sound familiar?) He replaced a wiring harness and left (not before he asked me to give him high ratings on his email survey). I mentioned the date because on his way to our house, the technician said our refrigerator is not under warranty. There is supposed to be a one year warranty for all of our Minto supplies appliances. We had to prove to Fields Appliance what our closing date was.
I'm with the other comments here, this is a terribly managed company. The technician here today was a pleasant guy, so I'll mention that. Looks like we've got a battle on our hands...Flamingo Appliance Service, Inc.

I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. I do see the call was dispatched to us as out of warranty by the manufacturer and as such proof of purchase must be obtained in order to prevent from charging a customer. I do see a wire harness was pre-screened based on the most common part used for this complaint for this model number prior to the unit being checked. I appreciate the kind words about the technician. I see by the techs thorough diagnosis he checked everything and hopefully this will perform as designed for many years to come. Again I apologize for the 2 service calls you had.Review fromJason W

1 starThis is the worst company I think I have ever dealt with! Over 3 months now waiting on parts and no communication whatsoever! Everytime we would call them and ask for updates on parts they could never give us anything and when we would complain they'd just say we'd get an email within 24 hours with an update which we never got any emails at all. Finally, oneday when I called the lady tells me the parts are in and she can go ahead and schedule me for the repair. Unbelievable!! I never got a call letting me know the parts were in. I was always assured I'd be called right away when they received the parts and would be scheduled for the repair. What a joke! This company is so unprofessional and could care less that you been waiting months on end for the repair. It took almost a month to get on the schedule for the repair. On the day of the repair they called and said the technician is sick and can't come and now we're stuck waiting another week for the repair. No way of getting another technician before than. I will never buy a appliance that uses this company for their warranty repairs! Worst experience I've ever had with any company! I understand waiting on parts isn't their problem but this company is so unprofessional and they have zero communication!
