We used Campground Membership Outlet to sell our Thousand Trails Membership on 12-16-24. We were told our membership sold. We keep hearing from ******* that the check is in the mail. We have never received a check.Business Response

Had Campground Membership Outlet sell my Thousand Trails Adventure membership. All paper signed for the new owner in early December 2024. Have yet to receive a dime from this sale. Contacted ****** several times with no response. I am owed $6500 from this business.Business Response

Campground Membership Outlet sold our Thousand Trails Membership on 12/13/24 for $2,000 and never provided us with our payment, even with several emails and phone calls promising us that our payment was "processing". We also received a confirmation that our membership was transferred to the new owner as of 12/23/24. With the number of BBB complaints in just the past 3-4 months, it is appalling that they are still in business. I will continue to call and email daily until I receive my funds, but hoping that this will help expedite actions and prompt the company to do the right thing.Business Response

In June 2024 we decided to sell our camper and end a three-year adventure of traveling the country and living in our motor home. As a part of this move, we decided to sell our Thousand Trails campground membership as well. We have heard great things about using Campground Membership Outlet as a broker to facilitate sales and collect the proceeds. We signed a letter of agreement with them on 07/29/2024 and paid the $275.00 listing fee. (attached)On 10/03/2024 we received an email saying that they had received an offer for $5,100.00 and asked if we would we accept this offer. (Original listing was for $8,000.00 for a membership that cost $12,500.00 new.) We agreed to the price and told them to proceed. We received notice that the buyers had completed their paperwork on 10/28/2024. I contacted them on 11/18/2024 and again on 12/03/2024 since I had not heard back from them. A different agent replied on 12/03/2024 that a check would be mailed within the next two weeks. I inquired again on 12/18, 12/27, and 01/07/2025 and finally received a response on 01/10/2025 that the Holidays had set them behind and they would check into it. We never received any response after 01/10/25 to any of our emails.We confirmed from Thousand Trails that our membership transferred on October 26th. Membership Outlet has now had our money for nearly three months interest free. Since this is a Florida company, we would appreciate your office looking into this.Thank you. We contracted with Campground Membership Outlet to sell our Thousand Trails membership in 2024. Our sale was completed on September 25, 2024 for $6,200 (an adjustment from the initial price of $6,500). We worked with ******* C/******* ******* (email says C, voicemail says *******) throughout the process. On October 28th, ******* confirmed our file was with accounting for processing and that a check would be mailed. On November 20th, I followed up because we hadn't received a check and ******* asked me to confirm our mailing address which I did. I then followed up again on November 25, December 5, December 11, January 9, January 14, and January 15. I also reached out to the *** admin email address on January 14th and 15th. I've left repeated voicemails both for ******* and for the main phone number of CMO. I have not received any type of response since November 20th. It has now been 5 months and we are owed over $6,000.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
I have not yet received the payment in the mail and I dont want this ticket to auto-close and have the solution auto-accepted. *** has said that they mailed the check, but they chose to send it via **** without tracking (despite my multiple requests for a tracking number). Because I was previously told my check was being mailed many months ago (and, in fact, it wasnt), I will not accept this solution until I have a check in hand. I will return to this page and accept the solution when the check has arrived.

I entered into a contract with Campground Membership Outlet to advertise & sell my Thousand Trails membership, paying them $275.They found a buyer in November, 2024. The sale has been finalized in November, 2024, but my net proceeds of $2,000 has been kept in violation of our contract. I received a check on 1/7/2025 for $6,250. I was told I would recieve $7,000 because the buyer would pay for the transfer fee. I assume I was charged the $750 transfer fee which does not match the expectation or communication that I was given. Although they did sale my membership, I wish there was better communication.

We contracted with Campground Membship Outlet on January 6, 2024 to sell our Thousand Trails membership. We paid an administration fee of $****** May, they found a buyer and we agreed on a price of $1900. We signed the paperwork and they submitted the transfer request to Thousand Trails. In June, we received notification from Thousand Trails that our membership had been transferred.We have never received the proceeds from the sale from Campground Membership Outlet. Unfortunately, it appears our complaint is like many others. We approached *** to sell our Thousand Trails Membership back in August. After going back and forth with them it was finally sold. Of course after lowering the price from what they said originally we could get. The outstanding payment is for $6,500. We received notice that the membership transferred on October 10. When I reached out via email I was told it was in the accounting department and they would let me know when it was trackable. We have not heard from them since and now they are not returning my emails. This seems to be run of the mill for them. It appears this is the way they do business. What a sad way to treat people who trust them. I will be sure that everyone we know who RV's not to do business with this company. They are quick to respond when you want to sell or buy but when they have an obligation they ghost you.
