Unfortunately, it appears our complaint is like many others. We approached *** to sell our Thousand Trails Membership back in August. After going back and forth with them it was finally sold. Of course after lowering the price from what they said originally we could get. The outstanding payment is for $6,500. We received notice that the membership transferred on October 10. When I reached out via email I was told it was in the accounting department and they would let me know when it was trackable. We have not heard from them since and now they are not returning my emails. This seems to be run of the mill for them. It appears this is the way they do business. What a sad way to treat people who trust them. I will be sure that everyone we know who RV's not to do business with this company. They are quick to respond when you want to sell or buy but when they have an obligation they ghost you.Initial Complaint

BUSINESS HAS NOT FULFILLED THEIR OBLIGATION OF SELLING MY ITEM REQUESTED. ALSO NO CONTACT WITH BUSINESS IN SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER EMAIL AND PHONE CALLS. After searching system, I do see that we did process and mail seller their check to resolve issue. And see in their file the return envelope from postal service saying not at this address. Involves settlement of $1,600.00 for the sale of or ThousandTrails membership. The sale was made and we got a letter from Thousand Trails on 07/22/2024 . This business sold our camping membership to another couple. The transfer was complete as of Oct 9, 3024 as we received a letter from the Campground stating so. The new owners paid $3750.00. $3000.00 of which belongs to us. I have a contract that states the campground membership outlet owes me these funds. In April 19th 2024, I entered into a contract with ******* Chick with Campground Membership Outlet to sell my Thousand Trails Elite Membership. Over the Summer I repeatedly asked for updates and heard nothing until June 13th, when ******* said that they had to move offices and that "they were still trying to get settled". I did not hear anything from them again until I began repeatedly contacting them in September. I heard back on the 17th from ******* and she said, "I presume you have not gotten your payment, I will contact accounting to see what the delay is in processing your payment." I have not heard from them since and they are not responding to any form of communication. As far as I know, they successfully stolen a significant amount of money from me.Business Response

I have received a check from CMO. The owner (**** ****) explained that he had internal issues and needed to take a loan to pay everyone back. He confirmed that CMO sold my membership for $2500 and that when his loan came through he would send me a check and tracking number. The check that I received was for $2100... $400 shy of the confirmed price that my membership sold for.Customer Answer

We keep email and phone logs attached to each account ~ and on April 19th, 2024, seller was sent the forms to start his transfer where he agreed to $2300.00 originally ~
And the original buyer backed out ~ and we spoke to seller on June 24th, and gave him the offer a new buyer made, regarding accepting $2100.00 , plus buyer pays the transfer fee ~ and the seller Mr. ****** accepted the $2100.00
We collected forms and funds from the buyer and started their transfer.
The ampunt agreed to by the seller, and the amount sent to seller, was the $2100.00 paid in full.

I am rejecting this response because: The facts and dates CMO provided are not accurate with my own logs and recordings. I encourage CMO to provide those logs with the exact details from both email and phone/text communications. I think we will find the discrepancies.

On 7-10-24 I contacted Campground Membership Outlet to help with transaction of selling my Thousand Trails membership to a buyer in ******. I paid $275 to the Outlet to process the transfer and payment. I helped provide the new contract. On 8-23-24 the buyer contacted me stating the membership transfer was complete. I was told I would receive my payment for sold membership ($2125) in the mail by mid-September. On 9-24-24 ******* communicated to me that she would check with Accounting. I have received no further information or my payment $2125.00 for sale of my campground membership. No reply to my phone calls, texts or emails.Customer Answer

I paid $275 to this company in January of 2023 to sell my campground membership. They have not sold my membership and they have not returned any of my multiple calls to them. I have been dealing with someone named ******* but she will not return any calls.Business Response

The type of membership they have is not as high in demand as other types and we do not guarantee a membership will sell ~ but do our best to share the option and a person's membership that is available
We apologize that this sellers membership has not been able to be sold, and that they have had any issues reaching us ~~
we will go ahead and remove the sellers membership from our inventory
and are issuing a refund for their listing ~
which will be sent out within 48 hours to resolve their issue. Thank you

Campground Membership Outlet (CMO) handled the sale of our Thousand Trails membership. The sale price was set at $6200. We where contacted by Thousand Trails that our membership had closed on 8/12/2024. To this date *** has not paid us the money from the sale. They do not reply to emails or return our calls. There have been 3 times we called using different numbers leaving messages that we where interested in buying a membership from them they immediately called us back. When confronted about the situation they give us excuses of the book keeper is running behind, they will be sending the check next week and they will call once the check has been cut. Still waiting, no check or calls have been received. We picked CMO because they orginally sold us the membership and that transaction went smoothly.Business Response

I held a Thousand Trails camping Membership, *********. I contacted Thousand trails, put my membership on hold. I expressed that I no longer wanted to camp is there a way to sell membership ?I was told to contact Campground Membership Outlet, phone # ************. I contacted them on 7-29-24. *******, returned my call on phone # **************. She explained the program to me, sent me forms to sign. Stating the buyer will pay $750.00 transfer fee and I in turn will be Paid $1800.00 for my membership 7 to 10 business days after the transfer was complete.I was later contacted by ***** ************** via text to sign an additional form and forward to her.The transfer has been completed and no one is returning my calls or texts to date. I have been trying to contact Campground Membership Outlet in regards to them trying to sell my campground membership. They have not responded to emails or answered their phone when I have called. Their lack of response has been frustrating.
