    My husband and I agreed to have Campground Membership Outlet sell our Thousand Trails Camping Membership. We personally spoke with Melissa J****** on several occasions via telephone and email.
    We agreed to a price of $1,200.00 and once the membership was sold and transferred we would receive a check for $1200.00. On 3/1/23 we signed documents sent to us from the co authorizing them to facilitate the transfer of our membership. I have all the correspondence to include status. On 4/12/23, Melissa J****** confirmed that the company received confirmation of completion of the membership transfer and she will have our check mailed out by the end of the week. On 5/9/23 I contacted Melissa J******, Campground Membership checking in status since we had not received a check. I also wanted to verify that the co mailed it to the correct address. Melissa confirmed my address and specifically said “ do show that is the address that we have on file for you. Since you have not received your check I have put in a request to have accounting contact the bank and pay to do a stop payment and get a new check issued out. Moving forward I am requesting a new check to be sent via priority mail with tracking to avoid any other issues. Someone will contact you with a tracking number as soon as it is available.” Since then, I have not received a call or status from anyone with this company. Numerous emails and voicemails have been ignored or not responded to. I have not received any further status. This is why I’m putting in a complaint because this company has failed to honor their commitment and owes my husband and I $1,200.00 or we want our membership freely transferred back to us! At this point, this company should not be trusted and is NOT reputable!

    I sold a camp membership to campground membership outlet for 2000 dollars. Transferred all the paperwork and Melissa said the check was mailed on 4/13/2023 and have not received it yet. I sent an email to Melissa and have got no response.I have all the email correspondence. If needed. Thank you ****** **********

    We have responded to every email this seller sent in and communicated with seller.

    We received confirmation this members transfer was completed on the 30th of March - a payment was processed, printed and mailed on April 13th - seller then reached out on the 19th stating they had not yet received --- and to not delay any further, we did not even wait to see if payment would be returned undeliverable or where the mail delay issue may be - we escelated and re issued payment and emailed seller a tracking number on May 3rd and it was delivered on the 8th. -- There was processing all within normal timeframe throughout their transfer and normal response times, and did our best to assist the seller. Payment confirmed received.

    Entered into an agreement to sell/transfer campground membership to ******** ****** for $5500.On 11/21 /22 Melissa sent me the forms to sign and said it should take 3-4 weeks to complete since they had an instant buyer. Received letter on 1/26/23 from ******** ****** that transfer was completed. Contacted Melissa @ Campground Membership Outlet on 02/15 regarding $5500. check. She replied on 02/22 that check was mailed on 02/15. I replied that the check has not been received and asked for check date & whether or not it has been cashed. She replied 02/21 that she will look into it and asked me to confirm my mailing address. Melissa told me to wait until the following Friday to see if it arrives. I called her on Thursday since they are not open on Fridays, and she told me they would stop payment and reissue it that day. They would send it Priority mail with a tracking number to be provided the same day.Someone would contact me with a tracking number as soon as it was mailed. Called her on 02/28 to tell her I have not been contacted by anyone with the tracking number. No answer. This company is nothing but a scam, using your money interest free until forced to pay seller the money collected from the buyer,

    We have been through both the purchasing and selling process of our membership with Campground Membership Outlet. Initially purchasing our Thousand Trails Membership 5 years ago. We were ready to sell and contacted them on or about 11/2/2022 to start the process. Melissa suggested we sell our elite status membership for $2000. We agreed. On December 9th we received a phone call from Melissa at CMO saying they found a buyer but they only wanted to pay $1500 AND for us to pay the transfer fee of $750. I was thinking, we weren’t given the option to haggle the price when we purchased and we were asked to pay the $750 transfer fee. I said to Melissa "Wait, we paid the transfer fee when we bought 5 years ago with you, we’ll agree to the $1500, but the buyer pays the transfer fee". That day Melissa sent over two letters (not dated) for us to sign, authorizing Chad at CMO facilitate the paperwork between us and TT, which I have attached. Also, in her email, she said we would be receiving the final transfer paperwork soon to be signed between the buyer and seller (us). Well, we never received that paperwork, and didn’t hear from thousand trails or CMO for about a month, until we received a letter from TT dated 1/10/23 that we were no longer members, that our membership had been transferred out of our names. But, we hadn’t signed the final paperwork, no one sent it to us for signature. I have our purchasing documents, with both the assignors and assignees signatures. I requested a copy of the final transfer docs but have not received a response. Neither, did we authorize e signatures. Expecting a check from Campground Membership Outlet any day now, it is now February 10th and we still have not received our money. I finally emailed Melissa on February 1st asking where our check was, she said, like so many others, said 5-7 business days. I want my money, and I want to know who signed my name on the final docs.

    On November 22 l enters an agreement with campground membership outlet to sell my membership with thousand trails.1 month went by,I contacted Melissa,she said the sale fell through, but they had another buyer.The sale was finalized January 17.It is February 8 still no check.The agreement states it should take about 4 weeks start to finish.I started this in November it is now February still no check.After reading all the complaints on this “business “I can easily see a pattern of fraud and Questionable practices.I would appreciate any help in resolving this situation.

    We had been in communication with member  ~ and the members transfer was sent to the Resort to becompleted on 1/17 ~ we received confirmation of completion from the resort on 1/22 and the members check was submitted for processing  ~ and would normally have been mailed by the following week around 2/2

    Although, we had been running about a week slower, due to a high volume of transfers and completions ~ 

    The seller was sent a tracking number via email to confirm payment had been processed and was in route on 2/10. 

    Tracking also confirmed delivery and receipt on 2/13 

    We did not purposly or fraudulently not pay a seller. The transfer, as well as receiving forms from the buyer, sending back to the resort to be completed, and receiving confirmation from the resort ~ was all in its normal time frame

    ` we were just about a week delayed in sending payment ~

    which had been processed, sent and received by member.

    I have attempted to email and call in an attempt to sell my membership for months and cannot get a single response back from the company.
    I have attempted email to Melissa and multiple phone calls and voice mails.

    We do log and track interactions and searching your email address, i do see you sent an email on 11/3/22 at 12:22pm

    And Melissa did send an email reply on 11/14/22 at 8:43am

    You then sent an online inquiry on 1/13/2023 at 12:52pm

    And a reply email was sent to you on 1/13/23 at 2:42pm

     

    i am not seeing any other emails from your email address.

    Possible that our email replies to you, may have gone to spam and were missed ~ but we did try and reach out.

    i see you had purchased a membership through use, and therefore had previously interacted with our company to assist you.

     

    We will have someone reach out to you after the weekend 

    And you can email into the company to confirm the best number to reach you or the best email address versus leave it on here publicly

    On Oct 11 2022, my wife and I entered into an agreement with Campground Membership Outlet to handle the sale and transfer of our Thousand Trail Elite membership and were to receive $2000. We subsequently received a letter from Thousand Trails dated Nov 14 2022 advising us that our membership transfer was complete. On Dec 14 2022 Melissa finally advised us that our payment would be processed and sent out by the end of the following week. On Jan 2 2023, I emailed Melissa to confirm the check was sent to the correct address and she acknowledged it was. As of the Jan 9, I advised Melissa we still had not received the check and she said she would have the bank stop payment and issue a new check sent priority mail and someone was supposed to provide a tracking number. No one did. Jan 17, Attempts to contact Melissa via phone message and email receive no response. This scenario is very similar to what others have experienced. Can you help us?

    I do see there was an oversight and delay in regards to this seller.

    We did rectify the error and had already processed and sent the seller their funds and notations show, that we communicated with seller when the funds were sent and provided tracking.

    And tracking shows delivered and received as well.

    We listed our platinum TT with Mel from CMO and the agreement to list with them was sent to us 8/19/22 & immediately returned with the $250 fee. We listed at the suggested price from CMO.

    There had been no correspondence or update from CMO so in November we reached out. They suggested we lower the price so we did. They called back later the same day saying they had a buyer, Chad Hoel, & sent us docs to sign to approve & initiate the transfer. This was 11/9/22. Two months go by, again, no correspondence. I called multiple times & the phone just goes to voicemail no matter the day or hours.

    1/3/23 I called & left a VM, no response. Called again 1/4/23 & got a return call. I was told initially that we didn't have a buyer. I told her she had sent us docs & we were supposed to be within a transfer. She back pedaled & said she was looking in another place & that was true. When I asked about when to expect final docs from TT & payment she said that it should be complete & a check in the mail on 1/13/22. She also told me to take my dues off of auto pay because the buyer would be paying them for Jan.

    1/11/23 we get an e-mail 15 min before closing time from Mel saying she's been out of the office & our membership type hasn't been moving much. She suggested that we lower our sales price yet again. That puts us at just about half of what was originally suggested & we listed at. She tells me they are moving in 1-6 months typically. It was stated that the original buyer backed out chose a different membership level. It also said "Reach out anytime along the way as well." And yet, we can't response. I called 5 minutes after the e-mail was sent according the time stamp & continued to call multiple times for the next 10 minutes hoping to get someone. I left messages with both Kim & Melissa & sent them both e-mails. No response.

    TT transfer department has no record of a transfer ever being initiated for our membership at all. There's no record docs being sent & then canceled.

    On or about October 12, 2022 we contacted Camp Ground Membership Outlet about selling our Thousand Trails membership.

    On October 17, 2022 we signed and returned the sales forms provided by Camp Ground Membership Outlet to sell our Thousand Trails membership, for which we were to receive a check in the amount of $1,800.

    On November 13, 2022 we provided Camp Ground Membership with signed copies of the Assignor's Declaration and Transfer Fee and Dues Information, which they had sent to us.

    On November 27, 2022 we sent an email requesting the status, as we had heard nothing and had not received our check.

    On December 22, 2022 we sent another email requesting the status as we still had not heard anything nor had we received our check. We received an email from Camp Ground Membership Outlet that they showed the transfer was complete and that a check was just mailed on December 19, 2022.

    On December 29,2022 we again sent an email requesting the status and asking where the check was sent. We received a reply stating that the check was sent to our current location, as we went south for the winter, but we were also asked if "that was still a good address", as if they check had not yet been mailed. We replied that the address was correct.

    On January 4, 2023 we sent another email stating that we still had not received the check and recommended they place a stop payment on the check and issue another. We received a reply which stated that a request had been made to do a stop payment and get a new check issued and sent via priority mail, with a tracking number sent to us.

    As of the date of this complaint (January 9, 2023), we still have not received a tracking number, and of course, we have not received our check. We would like the delivery of our check.

    On September 8, 2022, I entered an agreement with Campground Membership Outlet to sell my Thousand Trails membership to them for 1500 dollars. on November 2, 2022, I received a letter from Thousand Trails that my membership had been transferred from acct. #********* to acct. #********* I have yet to receive payment form Campground Membership Outlet. On November 15, 2022, Melissa told me a check had been mailed out. I contacted Melissa on December 5. 2022 that we had not received payment. On December 6, 2022, I was told the check had been mailed, could I confirm my mailing address which I did. That same day, Oct. 6th, I contacted Melissa again, that we had not received payment. On December 7, 2022, she said that they would put a stop payment on the check and send me a new check by priority mail with a tracking number to avoid any other issues and that someone would be contacting me with a tracking number as soon as it is available. On 12-16-22 I again e-mailed Melissa inquiring about said tracking number, have not received any response since.
