      I hate Spirit Airlines.Never will we ever fly with them again. First issue, we missed our flight and paid for our luggage.we did not get our$149 back. Now we purchased tickets, changed our tickets because we saw a lower price, waited months for a refund, they gave us a credit instead of a refund. After several months, we receive the credit, then a couple of days ago. They went in my son,'s acct and took over $1,0000. Now we're waiting again for our refund. I'm getting a lawyer. DONT EVER FLY SPIRIT.

      Terrible customer service, they made changes and cancel my kid's trip. They left them un attendance in *********, they didn't care about my kids.

      When you attempt to use the online portal to check in and it is down, the error message advises you to call into their reservations department. The reservations department, while kind and responsive, has not actually been provided the tools to actually check someone into their flight. They simply advise you that the best thing to do is to screenshot the error message to try to prove that you checked in online so that you are not charged at the counter, as you are charged an extra fee to use the Spirit Airlines services at the airport. This lack of functionality is absolutely absurd, because instead of checking in and walking straight to security, you are forced to wait in the crowd of people that it has also failed for and then fight to not be charged at the counter.

      I recently experienced a very unfortunate and shady business practice by Spirit Airlines. **************** purposely overcharged me for luggage changes, confirming it was the correct and best price. Further research showed us this was incorrect. Somehow they rationalized making changes/payment through an online link, as not booking online. Even when we were unable to make the change online. They neglected to inform us of the price difference. **************** was less helpful and proceeded to hang up on me. I have reached out to leaders of the organization in attempt to rectify this issue. This is immoral in its principle, and I hope to help the countless other affected every year.

      Be aware of the potential charges when you sign up for an account with them...Very shady......They charged me 69 dollars for the saver's club which I did not notice at all when I booked the ticket. I canceled it after I looked at my receipt and contact them for a refund but they said they will not refund it because I agreed to the conditions etc. The thing is I did not even notice what I was signing up for. So be aware of the extra charges. I will never use this airline again.

      I was meeting friends in ********* because they'd never been and it was one of my friend's birthday. I really need to conserve what money I have, so I got online and searched for the least expensive round trip flight from *************** to *********. I found a round trip ticket with Spirit for $62. I get to the airport and at the check-in desk the woman tells me I will be charged for my carry-on. I explain that the reason I squeeze everything into one carry-on is so I don't have to check it in or pay for it, otherwise I could have packed more. "You can have one personal item and we charge for a carry-on," she says. This charging for a carry-on is completely new to me, but I guess cheap airfare is how they trick you into having no choice once you're there and need to make your flight."$75," she says. The woman standing next to her says, "Do you want us to check and see what the cost is if you check it?" "Yes." She types into her computer and comes back with, "$74." Wow. I save a whole dollar to leave my bag in their care to possibly lose. I realize I do not have a choice. I hand the woman my card and she says, "There's an additional charge of ten dollars for checking in at the desk." Now I'm wondering if it's possible to be more stunned. "Wait, why are you charging me $10?" "Because you're checking in at the desk and not at the kiosk." I ask for my ID and go to the kiosk where it only costs me $75 instead of $85.And the in-flight water refreshment (I did not buy) was not free.Now I'm returning from Vegas, I check in at the kiosk and an agent makes sure to monitor my progress and that I choose 1 carry-on to pay - $72 this time - then walks away. At the end of the transaction seconds later the machine will not print my boarding pass, instructing me to see an agent. So now I have to stand in line to see someone who tells me I have missed the window for my flight by five minutes even though it took more than five minutes between the kiosk not printing my boardin

      TERRIBLE 08/18/2022. We were flying to ************** for a wedding. I was with my Elderly grandparents, my aunt, my ************ toddler. OUR flight wasnt until 4:26pm. We hit traffic but still made it in LINE at the *******, ** airport at 3:50pm, it is a small airport, they view your tickets, put your personal-item bag on the conveyer belt then board you. Their policy says they start boarding 45 minutes before departure, & close doors 15 minutes before departure. We were there at 3:50pm, giving us 36MINUTES before **************** turned us AWAY! we still had time& wouldnt let us in!! My bag was on the conveyer belt running through the machine &they said nope took them off & told us the plane closed the door already. I mention that their sign says doors close 15 minutes BEFORE ************** is 3:50pm & our flight isnt until 4:26pm. We are here before the 15 minute cut-off. They shrugged their shoulders & walked away & went ON BREAK! They literally turned their lights out to the front desk with us standing THERE watching & went into the break room & left us there ALONE not knowing what to do, so we didnt have anyone to turn to for help!! LUCKILY, we eventually found a male worker nearby. He said that they decided to change the FLIGHT TIME LAST minute so they could depart EARLY HOW IS THAT OK TO JUST LEAVE WITHOUT ** bc they decide last minute to LEAVE EARLY? he then informed us there were NO more flights to ** for the next couple days & said we had to book at another airport for the next morning flight, so we had to drive 1 1/2hours to ANOTHER airport, PAY for TWO rooms in a nearby hotel just to be able to catch the morning flight bc of this mess! Not to mention bc they wouldnt let us on, my *********** lost out on $239 we paid for that night at SC resort, my ******************* lost their over $150 & we almost had to forfeit our resorts for the week &money bc we couldnt make it to check-in! LUCKILY my parents DROVE & they let them CHECK US IN for us!!

      I took the flight NK1361 from *** to ***. That was the worst flight experience in my life. One flight attendant asked me to slide my backpack under the front seat. because the overhead bin is reserved for larger items. But there were already smaller bags than my backpack have been put in the overhead bin. They even did not let me put my backpack put in the overhead bin even after the flight took off and there were tons of space left. The flight crew treated passengers like animals without any rights. I was never been treated so unfairly before.

      On 8/14/2022 my husband and I were to fly out of ************************************* through Spirit Airlines. Our flight was to leave at 7:55am, so we made sure we arrived at 5:30am in case of any issues, it should be enough time to resolve them. Apparently right before we arrived there was a false active shooter report that caused chaos, throughout the airport and TSA shut the security down. We waited in a highly capacitated airport for 5 1/2 hours in line. Our flight kept delaying the time due to the chaos. When we finally were able to get through TSA, we had 4 minutes to get from one end of the airport to another. We ran including several other passengers to get to our gate, only to arrive and have them tell us the flight left. They proceeded to tell us we missed our flight and they could reschedule us for 2 days. The plane probably only had about 10% of its passengers on it and including all the passengers luggage as well. We proceeded to look for a earlier flight with any airline and found one for the next day. I called Spirit yesterday to ask for a refund and they told me due to us missing our flight they could only credit us. Spirit knew what happened to all those passengers and was just offering a credit. As a business they should know what is right or wrong. They acknowledged it wasnt our fault we missed the flight, but would not refund the money. That is extremely unprofessional considering the circumstances surrounding the event. I dont want a credit I want my money!
