      Florida is under a state of emergency. I evacuated. Thank God I did because my home flooded. The fire Marshall and national Guard is not allowing anyone into my neighborhood because it’s under water. I contacted spirit Thursday before the hurricane hit about changing my upcoming flight since I had already evacuated. A agent promised I would be able to change my flight for free as long as I contacted them before 10/2 to change the date to 10/7. I did that today, 9/29 and to my surprise, they did not uphold what the previous agent had said. I would have to pay to change my flight. Are you serious? This is not acceptable. My area is still without power and is flooded. This is still a state of emergency for Florida.

      Very disappointed with my overall experience with Spirit Airlines. I cannot speak more highly of the staff and crew. That is not the problem. It is solely off their customer service and stealing money. I received an email stating that I can bid for a seat on 9/5/2024 for my flight on 9/12 and my flight back on 9/15. I received an email on 9/10 that said I did not win. So I purchased upgraded seats on 9/10 for the flight there and the flight back for $35. Then, randomly, on the day of the flight, it said I suddenly won the bid. They put me in an emergency exit row (which I already paid for) but in a window seat (which I am 6'9 and can't fit in). So I called customer services, and they couldn't help me and would have to escalate it. So the app I paid an additional $7 to sit on an aisle. Then, on 9/14, I was notified that I won the bid seat for $82 on my way back (which, in a prior email, stated that I did not win). I paid $17 for an upgraded seat, thinking I did not win. Now I'm paying $82. I contacted Spirit, who said it was escalated to a higher level to receive a reimbursement for my upgraded seats (not expecting the big seat). At this point, I paid $2, $7, $35, and $82 for upgraded seats for a total of $126. I was told that I did not win and paid, then was charged again, stating I won. When contacting customer service, I just requested $35 back. I understand the other charges, BUT I SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN BILLED TWICE FOR SEATS AND UPGRADES. They stated that because it's on their website, there is nothing they can do. I will not be reimbursed. No other place do you get charged twice and not receive a refund.       Having to leave 1 star just ***** me inside. The ABSOLUTE WORST airline there could possibly be. Very unprofessional, rude and no means to help in any way. I could go on a rant about how our flight was cancelled, delayed and then had a 16 hour layover with absolutely no compensation what so ever. DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE! Negative 100 stars. I repeat do not use this airline.

      NO SENSE OF URGENCY OR SATISFACTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR A ISSUE THAT WAS CAUSED BY THE AIRLINER. WAS TOLD BY A MANAGER REPRESENTING THE COMPANY THAT IT WAS SECURITY/THE AIRPORTS FAULT. AND MYSELF JUST CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE WITH NO ONE TO TURN TO IN ORDER TO RECTIFY THE ISSUE. I arrived to **. ********** from ******************** for a connecting flight to *******. My plane sat on the tarmac for 40+ minutes with no one informing the passengers who have connecting flights on if we will make our plane or if the plane is gonna wait. Upon retrieving my luggage to bring it back to the ticketing counter to recheck I was then informed that I missed my flight. Was told no worries We will rebook you for FREE why wouldnt It not be free? How is rebooking me a flight that I missed due to Spirits Plane sitting on the runway a satisfactory? I had a doctors appointment that I will miss, work, extra fee accrued on my vehicle sitting at the airport and no complimentary voucher for food, water or anything being that I would have to spend a night at the airport with nowhere to go! I would definitely stay away from this airline. They will be the cause of your problems and wont even show compassion in making correcting the matter. **************** on this matter fell way below the bar of their MISSION STATEMENT! STAY FAR AWAY FROM SPIRIT AIRLINES!!!!!!!

      If I could give Spirit no stars I would. They definitely earned it by not only giving me the worst flying experience of my life but practically scamming me out of my money and stealing my time. I arrived at 2:35 at MPS in MPLS flying to DTW in ******* on Sunday September 15th, departing at 3:20 & already checked in online the night before. Unfortunately my boarding pass wasn't displaying properly on my phone so I had to see an agent who much to my surprise adamantly refused to print it. He claimed he didn't know how. I wasn't able to print it using self service since I was already checked in and there were no other agents around to seek help from additionally he refused to call his manager for me. He then insisted that I could go through TSA with the defective electronic boarding pass. I flew Spirit's luxury first class "Big Comfy" which allowed me a security shortcut, when I mentioned this to the agent he was completely unfamiliar with it. He then refused to tag and check my checked bag claiming it was too late even though this was taking place at 2:35 and my flight didn't take off until 3:20. He also proceeded to tell me it was too late to board the plane even though it clearly states that boarding continues until 15 minutes before take off. This agent seemed to not only be astronomically incompetent, unbelievably lazy but addressed me with abrupt rudeness in his voice and obviously didn't want to be doing his job. Another person was having a similar issue with being denied having a bad checked and a boarding pass printed which caused him to miss the same flight as myself. Because of this horrific costly financial experience that was also time consuming monopolized my entire Sunday I will never fly this airline again. I left the counter in tears and was absolutely stunned. I was forced to buy a last minute ticket from ***** for nearly $700. Spirit has no integrity or honor when it comes to customer service. They shouldn't even be allowed in the air.

      this is by far the worst airline i have ever dealt with, they will charge you more for your bag then for your seat, they will trash your bag then find some loophole in some 7 page contract that says they don't have to do anything and your screwed I WILL NEVER USE SPIRIT AGAIN and i recommend that no one dose they also changed my flights 6 times in 3 months without my consent, Don't fly spirit!

      This airline is money hungry period. I placed a bid on 2 seats, lost the bid, sent by an email from spirit. So I bought 2 seats that would more comfortable. Spirit then sent an email stating that I won the seat bid. Spirit ended up charging me for 4 seats. I disputed the charges. They did not refund me. Mind you there were people in the seats that I purchased so were paid twice for the seats. It is obvious that Spirit Airlines is not about real customer service. Will do anything to make money. Including swindling and conning people with the seat bid trick. Bad business!! Lose bid and they will buy more seats if we wait until the last minute to let the customer know they have in fact won the bid. We keep the money for the seat bid and the other purchased seat. Spirit has a bad spirit. Change your the name to Bad Spirit Airlines!! No wonder youre not accredited!

      Fraudulent business practices here! Set up to take advantage of people with an overpriced "Savers" program, that truly is no bargain. You don't even know you are signing up for it. Flying with this airline was awful from start to finish. Spirit is the worst airline I have ever flown. I will never fly this way again. While I understand they charge for literally everything. They also scam you into joining a membership club that saves you literally nothing. AND it is hidden in fine print. I flew last year once with them and hated the experience. Then a year later I was charged for their Annual Spirit ************ that is non refundable and you can't dispute with your credit card company. This was hidden in fine print when you sign up for Wifi access or pay to take on a carry on or something because I NEVER would have signed up for any membership with an airline. I have no use for this service, as I usually fly for business and my employer books my travel. They also do not book travel with Spirit because of the higher overall costs.

      My younger sister was returning home on her flight . She went to the counter to check her suitcase. When the ***resentative was going to print her luggage ticket she told my sister that the plane had left already . My sister informed her that her flight was even scheduled to depart for another hour. The ***resentative told her well you will have to go customer service and reschedule.She went to customer service and waited a long time to be seen . That *** looked at her ticket in the computer and told her to RUN !!! Now keep in mine she is 60 years old with some medical issues. She is dragging her suitcase that should have been checked and still had to get through security. She is upset and forgot she had full size toiletries in the suitcase that needed to be checked. So the pull her aside and search her bag . Mean while she misses the flight . I went back and picked her up. She calls customer service immediately gives them the whole story, I could hear the other party speaking because the phone was on speaker. They were rude , blamed her , said she was in the computer as a no show . They refused to refund 1/2 of the ticket .She was informed to book another flight but there would be a charge !!!!She ask to speak to a supervisor, the *** said theres no need they will tell you the same thing !!! Very condescending, refused to address what really happened, and definitely not helpful. My sister was so upset she booked her flight on United airlines so she could get home .
