      I am appalled. My flight was delayed for hours before they finally canceled it and rebooked for over 24 hours later. Was given a voucher to a hotel with no rooms then refused to give a voucher for a hotel with rooms. $24 is apparently enough to buy enough food for a whole 24 hour period. No compensation, no help or guidance, and no empathy from spirit.

      I paid in advance for a checked bag (about a $60 fee) and was told that I was allowed up to 50lbs (which is still published on your website, btw: **********************************************************************************) . When I arrived at the ***********, I was told I had to pay an extra 125 dollars because e it was over 40 lbs. this is totally unreasonable and unfair as I was not communicated this 40lb maximum.

      This trip has by far been the worst experience I've ever had with any airline. Every flight going to our destination and returning home was delayed. The 1st flight on the way home was delayed, we missed our connecting flight and no other flight was available until the following day. The airline gave us a meal voucher, told us we could use it to uber/doordash food to the hotel. We tried numerous times and the payment kept declining. I tried calling customer service, only for them to tell me there was nothing they could do and that I would need to go back to the ticketing counter at the airport. We also received a lyft voucher that the airline inputted the address to pick us up from. The address was incorrect and I could not change it. After requesting 4 lyft drivers, I ended up having to create an account and paying for the lyft ride myself. Needless to say we were late getting to the airport and BARELY made it on our flight. Few of my luggage were damaged with huge dents and a broken wheel. Ontop of all the issues we encounter with Spirit, Spirit has the audacity to charge extra for everything. The least they could do is offer a free beverage on the plane for all the anxiety and stress caused by this airline. There is zero leg room on the plane and seats do not recline at all making it a very uncomfortable flight. There is zero arm space, so if you are sitting next to a stranger your arms will be overlapping eachother. The planes are terrible and customer service is terrible. I would never fly using Spirit again.

      Very bad ***************** I m trying to call them since morning, 4 times I was put on hold and then disconnected. They connected our flight. I have to book last min South west flight to go back to *********, 500 dollars for 2 of us. I m a cancer patient, I dont have this much time or money to spend . Some one need to take an action against them. I want them to reimburse my flight tickets to go back my own home

      Spirit airlines took my money, then refused to give me the service I paid for (the flight), lied to me about how it was cancelled, and are keeping my money. I received an email from Spirit Airlines on June 22, 2024 that my family's flight on June 27th, 2024 was cancelled. No reason was given. I contacted customer service who said that I had cancelled it online; this is not true. We were the only ones with the flight information and did not cancel it. They have no alternatives they can offer for this travel, and refuse to refund. They just stole my money.

      My flight was cancelled after we were stuck on the plane for 4 hours waiting in the plane with no air conditioning and the heat was almost 90 degrees outside. The excuses changed every hour. First it was because it was raining, when the rain went away and the sun came out then the next excuse was a mechanical issue. The mechanical issue was fixed and then we had to wait for them to receive paperwork. We waited so long in the heat , a passenger became ill and needed medical assistance. The pilot finally took us onto the runway and we were 28th in line to take off and were told they were requesting a priority take off since we waited so long. Then the final excuse was that the pilots shift was finishing so we needed to return to the gate and either get a new flight crew or be put on another plane. Spirit ended up cancelling the flight and refused to provide hotel and meal vouchers because they cancelled the flight due to weather which was a lie. Many families with small children were stranded and had no where to go and no food. During the 4 hours on the plane, they only offered passengers one cup of water. We asked to buy beverages and snacks from their menu and were denied. This was by far the worst experience i have ever had with an airline.

      Flight was canceled due to an overbooked flight from ****** to ********* on 6/22/2024 at check in. After going back and forth with agent for 30 minutes about next flight he was trying to book for a flight the next day, which I wouldnt be able to make that flight due to family emergency. This is the second time my flight was canceled with Spirit. I will never fly them again!!!

      This is the worst airline. They nickle and dime you to death. Very old planes. Never on time. Ticket scanners are very rude. Will never fly Spirit againBeware!

      Husband and 2 young kids missed connecting flight, and after getting in touch with Spirit, they said we were due a refund. The specific words that they used were, Your refund was successfully processed. It can take up to 7 business days to receive your funds, depending on the financial institution.Family was stuck in ATL for 20+ hrs. A month+ after getting the email, we realize the refund never came. Now theyre saying they dont owe us that refund, despite significant delays. No compensation of any sort for having missed an entire day. No weather issues that day.To boot, these planes have the worst seats, even compared to Europes budget airlines ******* and easyjet. I guess Spirit is good for if you just really need the bare necessities, to get from point A to B.

      I had a flight from ******* to ***** in May. We purchased our bags prior and seats online the night before. While paying for my checked back I noticed that I had accidentally purchased a carry on bag. Funny the carry on is $47 and the check back is $45. Well, in trying to edit from carry-on to checked back it would not allow me to do this. I tried for 30 minutes to no avail. I thought no big deal, will just show up to the airport with my receipt and one bag and all should be well. Was not worried about the $2 extra dollars. The representative told me it would be an extra $47 because I am purchasing the bag at the airport. I said lady I paid yesterday and clicked the wrong button. This is the only bag I have. She said but you're doing it at the airport? Well yeah because you wouldn't let me adjust it from home!!!!! I had no intentions of paying at the airport! I paid at home and paid $2 more. Not sure how this is legal and I already knew the airline sucked but this should not be allowed. DO NOT FLY SPIRIT.
