      I would give them zero stars if it were possible. My family, wife, and two daughters, one under 2 years old were flying a nonstop flight from ******* to ***, and we didn't have good options for non-stop flights that worked with our schedule. I decided to book us on Spirit and pay for the Big A seats so it would be similar to flying in a normal flight. The Big A seats were another 150$ a seat, and I figured it was worth it. The day before the flight, I could not check-in for the flight, and I called Spirit customer service, after over an hour's wait I was informed that I could not check in online with a lap infant and would have to do so when I arrived at the airport. I was like ok, hmm. interesting I can do that. So we get to the airport about 2 hours before our flight and go through dropping our bags, and getting our boarding passes like we normally would, and nothing out of the ordinary happens. We get to our gate after having lunch in the airport, and wait for boarding, Once we start boarding they pull us off to the side and tell us our seats have been given away as we did not check in at least 3 hours before our flight. After about 30 mins they end up putting us on the flight, in three seats in the back of the plane. So they effectively just gave our big A seats away to someone else, and put us through a lot of stress. Such a strange thing to do to your customers. I do not understand this policy, and why they would create such an enemy out of customers.

      This airline is horrible. From the staff, to the service. I dont understand how an airline can get away with treating customers this way. Why is this acceptable? The standards are extremely low. I flew from ***, to ******. Then from ****** to ******* to ***. Every single person on all the flights had bad customer service or acted ghetto. Service was horrible. From the agents yelling at each other, to forgetting to give me boarding passes or selling my already paid for bigger seats. The did even care about the inconvenience. Why is this business allowed to provide this low standard customer service. Maybe its because we the customers continue to spend our money.

      Horrible first time experience with SPIRIT. Thet lost all my documents that I needed to go on my cruise. Today is my birthday and I'm supposed to be in the ******* right now but thanks to SPIRIT that didn't happen. They lost 2 birth certificates and 1 marriage certificate. Then they gave me a $50 voucher to use on their plane by sept7 2024( 4 months)) my cruise that I didn't get to go on for my vacation/ birthday was $1600. All 3 of those documents together was $105. On top of my round trip flight, when I got to LAX I was charged a additional $99 for checking in 15 minutes late. 2 bags 1carry on 1 checked luggage ( where the documents. Ame up missing out of $85 each. The staff at the **************************** office were rude. I was irritated, had the same clothes on, hadn't slept or ate. I felt dirty, I was hurt, crying and exhausted and a $50 voucher was ALL they offered me

      I have a broken ankle and had requested a wheelchair in advance of my trip. My flight was set for 6 am so I arrived at 4 am in plenty of time. Spirit employees were so very rude and did not help me get my wheelchair until after 5:30 am. I was frantic by then tell them I only had 30 minutes to make it to my gate. When we arrived at the gate the plane was still there but they refused to let me get on the flight! This cost me hotel stay, taxi fees, loss of work and a huge amount of stress but they did not offer to compensate for any of it. Unreal, and it didnt just happen to me! Many others needing a wheelchair did not get the help they needed either. One man opted to walk on his broken knee just to catch his flight. spirit has lost my faith in humanity

      Flying home from LA I needed to check a bag. Spirit Airlines charged me ****** to check a single bag. I have previously flown Spirit Airlines a few time. Never again will I step foot on this corrupt opportunist airline!

      I work for the auto industry so. Doing these uncertainty times with the layoff. And job cuts I booked the flight to go from ******* to *****, *******. Somehow. Had me going to *************** ******* from *******. I know for a fact I picked Miami and when I tried to get the flight change, they told me that they can do it and they couldn't refund my money. I am in a wedding July the sixth. Pay with a credit card. The Spirit Airlines representative was not helpful. That was sarcastic they left me a whole long time and they told me that I couldn't be refunded but money I pay. I can't get it back and I think it's wrong. They didn't try to help assist me. All they said was credit for another flight in the future. No I may miss this wedding because I'm on a budget. And now I may **** A flight at otairlines that have flights going from ******* to? ************* 9 stop. I don't want a connected. ****** left me a hole for a long time. It wasn't helpful and I feel. I should be able to get my money back. Because I'm not getting what I'm paying for now.

      Im am beyond disappointed , saddened embarrassed and just at a loss for understanding the process of dealing with customers by ********************** . My Father in law passed away on 22 April . I rushed and purchased 4 tickets on 3 different credit cards for his only grandsons (my sons) and my sons wife . Leaving April 23 t from ********* NC to LA **********. Theyre all ***** years of age . They had no problems arriving in ** but when they left after they buried their grandfather *** held back my sons wife in a discrimination of her Hijab which made them late for their flight . Testing for substances . The next day they were charged because of missing their flight due to TSA and charged for carryons and charged for seats . I was shocked . I couldnt believe that I wasnt able to stand up for them and the employees at spirit criminalized the missed flight by charging the already sad and depressed youth . I had accidentally purchased a ticket that returned the same day it arrived and even though I purchased trip protection Im still out of 300 dollars . What craziness, Im so upset that I cannot file a criminal complaint against this company yet .

      Very disappointing customer service.This is the last time I am booking with them,Our flight delayed from 2:40 pm to 8:30 pm and then cancelled,And very hard to find someone to solve the problem. The front agent tell us they can't do anything and we have to contact online customer service and when we contact them we told to contact front desk customer service,Just not an ideal business to count on,

      The worst Airlines ever. They are crooks. I purchased a ticket for my sister to see a cousin who was in hospice. It was short notice and wanted to only see her before she passed. Well, less than 24 hours after I purchased the ticket, she passed. So less than 24 hours after the purchase I called to cancel the flight. I was told that I would need to take my request to a CHATBOT and they would decide. Not even a human. I was told by the chatbot I needed to have a death certificate. I explained she died TODAY! and requesting a death certificate to send to an unknown entity breaks HIPPA laws. The chatbot wanted an obituary. I repeated, she died that day. Anyway, I then asked for a place to send a letter and was told there is no mailing address. Well, after much complaining they finally provided an address in *******, **. I will send them a letter. They did agreed to give me airline credit for 90 days, of which I said NO!

      Worst airlines, amazing how they are still in business. Spirit website is also horrible full of broken links UI/UX experience is a total joke. I logged on to the website to get my boarding pass and it kept redirecting. Why have a website that's not user friendly? **************** if you want to call it that, said I should have called them to, why have a website if I need to call? What a total joke. Remember you get what you pay for! And this is a horrendous airline.
