First of all ZERO stars. Second of all I upgraded my seat for $17 but was forced to move by a security officer because I was sitting in one of the EXIT seats and couldn’t hear the flight attendant ask me if I would be willing to help in an emergency. He had an accent and was mumbling and it was loud in there, due to a baby crying, etc. Plus it was a joke the way he rushed through the instructions for helping out in an emergency. The security officer embarrassed me in front of everyone. And ironically there was a medical emergency later on in the flight and I am an RN and was the only one who responded to it. Then all of a sudden it was okay that I was helping out in an emergency. I want an apology from Spirit Airlines and a $17 refund. It’s impossible to get through to anybody who works for that company. It’s either chatting with a robot or speaking with a Guest Relations person who says she can’t help me and that I need to send an email. UGH!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS AIRLINE. Their customer service is trash to the point where they cant make exceptions when things are THEIR FAULT. They delayed my flight so I decide to leave a little later. I get there and they tell me I cannot board my flight. I am asking like please because there is still enough time. They did not budge and offered rebooking and had no flights for the night!!!! Only for the morning. Wanna know the issue? The next day was the day of the festival I PAID for and arrival was way too long after the start. Later on, the festival was cancelled (cries). So I call spirit saying I cant even board my returning flight because I AM NOT AT THE LOCATION!!!!!! And they dont offer me a refund just credit. Why the heck would I want CREDIT for an airline Ill never use again?!?! I want my money. So basically I paid $351.18 for two flights that Im not even ON. To a location that is 8 hours away by car. I SHOULD'VE JUST DROVE! Because Id rather drive 8 hours and get to my destination than believe Ill fly for a hour and a half both way and not be on a single flight.TERRIBLE airline. They are not for their customers, just money hungry because guess what? They offered me a $50 voucher -_- $50?!?! In 2024! I have to LAUGH! Thats the price of checking in One bag of luggage, not to mention their weight limit is 40lbs before they charge you $79! In my advice, always fly Southwest. They spent too much time optimizing that app when they NEED to review policies and improve customer service towards the people who FUND THEIR AIRLINE.I wish bankruptcy on them! Maybe thats the wake up call they need to treat people right.

On January 18, 2024, I book a flight on Spirt Airline for me and my sister from ******* (DTW) to ******/Ft Worth (DFW). On February 24, 2024, I checked on my flight and noticed an error with my flight information. My sister's name was incorrect, so I called Spirit to correct it. So, I called what I thought was a Spirit customer service number and spoke to *****************************. I told her what the issue was and was shocked to hear that correcting my sisters name was $75. I asked why and she went into this song and danced about how difficult it is to change and resubmit a person's name from an airline ticket and what it takes to create another one. It's simple: backstroke, remove a letter, and add the correct one. ****************** told me that the corrections would be corrected the following day. So, I checked and noticed my sisters first name was incorrect. Call the same Spirit customer service number I reached another person named ********************* who said he works for PCM Travel. But instead of a 75-dollar charge, I was charged $200. I was truly shocked and disappointed that a simple correction could cost a customer that much. I paid the price and made a vow that I would not use Spirit Airlines again. I wrote to Spirit Airline and told them what happened, and they responded by saying they have no trace of a money transaction that took place, and they never charge their customers a name correction price. I felt violated. I paid the money and yes, they corrected my issues, but this company PCM had to go into Spirit system and change the information. I asked Spirit is PCM a third party that worked for them and I never did get a straight answer. PCM had access to open my account to change my information. If they don't work for Spirit, how did they change my information on the computer and Spirit does not know? Isn't that a type of violation of privacy law? Is this a criminal act? I need a straight answer from Spirit, and I want a refund!

I was signed up for Free Spirit club, which is not free but has an annual fee. I may have signed up for it when purchasing a flight; I don't remember doing so. There is no way to cancel. Chat is useless and there is no customer service. I had to call my bank and cancel the credit card to avoid charges. The only good thing I can say about Free Spirit is that they sent an email in advance of the annual charge so I could take action without having to do a chargeback.

I recently flew Spirit Airline. I had a flight from *** to ATL on Monday, April 15th. I was flying with my three children a four year old, two year old and a 7 month. I have flew with Spirit Airlines multiple time and I have always had a good or solid experience. But on April 15th my experience was unfortunate. The flight was fine and the flight attendants were very attentive. As I was unboarding the plane with my 3 children and luggage we waited for our double stroller. Only for them to bring it up missing a wheel and the handle to be completely broken. They found the wheel for me but the broken handle made it impossible to hold my 3 children. I was rushed out the way so the flight crew can leave. I asked multiple people what I can do and they told me to file a claim with baggage claim office. I walk to the baggage claim office juggling my 3 kids and broken stroller just to be told to file a claim online and I have 4 hours to do it. I proceed to try to file the claim online it states I can not proceed, I ask the attendant in the baggage claim office and was give a phone number. I call that number when I got home and was informed that nothing can be done. I fill like this is completely unfair and I can't believe my belonging were treated with so little regard. This was not normal wear and tear this was negligent. This is a $500 Britax double stroller in mint condition, I have had for about a year. I understand Spirit is a discount airline but for my property to be treated with no regard or respect is completely unwarranted. ****** care on how I would maneuver the *********** with 3 children and having to get on a train. I am floored. I look forward to a response. I thank you for your time and help on the matter.

I bought a flight with Spirit Airline because it looked like a big deal. This is a mistake I will never make again. We ended up spending more than we would have with competing airlines because of all the nickel and diming on the way. We had to pay a fee per flight per seat selection. We had to pay for any carry on items. We checked one bag for $80. Instead of the usual weight limit of 50lbs, they have a limit of 40lbs, and charged us an extra $80 due to our luggage being 45lbs. Once on the flights, they charge for internet per flight, and they charge for any food or drinks, including water, coffee, soda. $6 for a small bottle of water. On the outgoing flight, our connection was delayed several times. This was annoying, but not a huge deal. On the way back home however, our initial flight was delayed for more than 2 hours, which meant the flight was now scheduled to land after the gates closed on our connecting flight. The agents at the spirit counter could not help us; she told us we needed to use the app to chat or call an agent by phone. So here we were at the airport going through security trying to understand our options. The chat was useless. The agent on the phone spoke broken English and only offered us an alternative flight that went way off course with an extra stop and an overnight layover, with no hotel voucher. Long story short, we stayed with our original flight, sprinted a half mile through the airport and miraculously made our connection right as they were closing the gates. But then! Our luggage didnt make it. They refused to deliver our bags to our home, even though we live within the ***** minute radius. I tried to set it up for them to deliver it instead to our friends home, and they simply stopped responding to me. My husband is blind and has his adaptive devices in that luggage sitting at the airport, but they will simply not respond, and will send the luggage to ******* if we dont arrive. F#** Spirit Air. Never again.

Their flight was over 2 hours delayed. Per FAA guidelines and Spirits OWN rules and regulations, any delay over 2 hours I am owed a refund or flight credit (my choice). I am STILL waiting on a refund from a Jan 12th 2024 flight delay. I was told three separate chats over 3 months, that I would be refunded in 5-7 business days. Still no refund. Then when I contacted them on chat the representative LIED saying I cancelled my flight. When I showed screen shots of my previous chat conversations, the lying representative knew I caught them scamming and said you will be refunded in 5 to 7 business days. Still nothing refunded.

Staff was great with my Autistic brother. They provided great service getting him to his gate and to his seat! Weather cancelled multiple flights but staff was great at reorganizing it for him. He also got a seat near the front of the plane for people with disabilities. This was his first time and it went as best as possible despite the weather.
