      Spirit airlines is the gouging airlines. They try to scam you in every step of your journey. Their 40 lb check-in bag limit is the biggest scan since travelers are used to 53 lb bag, so you end up paying overweight or a second bag for more than $80. That is my first trip and last on spirit airlines. Our family trip cost end up more than other airlines cost that included almost everything. I also booked my hotel through them and the price quoted did not include all charges ending up costing me double.

      Abouta year or 2 ago I was on a Spirit Airplane. The flight attendant was going down the aisle offering food and drinks. They gave me a small bottle of alcohol (can't remember which kind) . About 30 minutes later a different flight attendant walks by and accuses me of bringing my own alcohol on the plane. He said no we don't carry that anymore and he just kept saying no no no like he didn't even want to hear me. Of course I had multiple witnesses that saw the whole ordeal. He later came back and apologized. 1 star!

      This is the shadiest outfit I've ever dealt with. I used them once with no problem, but that's the problem, unless you book a flight and it doesn't change you find a breathtaking amount of larceny. Their low margin business is a cover for a racket. Once they have your credit card, you cannot remove it from their site. Once they change a flight, and you choose not to take it, you cannot get a refund, only a credit. Rinse, repeat. No refunds. And I swear they keep changing, cancelling flights only to get your money. You can't quit their rewards program. You can't change your credit card online, only add one. Their text service is automated, no humans. Their phone is automated, no humans. They refer you to their website, which won't let you do the things (cancel service, remove credit card, cancel membership). This is unworthy of a publicly traded American company. I want out of their membership, but they just charged my card again. No way to cancel. Nobody to talk to.

      Worst and most unprofessional management staff out of all airlines. Supervisor **** out of ******* (***) argued with me in defense of very rude and unhelpful agents "****". The were unconcerned with their job of customer service and acted as if the were the owners. They aren't held to any accountability as the agent argued with me and the supervisor started to do the same and said to me she was defending the agent. People have always said don't fly Spirit and I never listened. Well ******* made me a believer and will continue to spread the word. We were at Gate 7 and were told to got to **************** desk to speak with another supervisor whom supervisor **** said she wasn't even sure was there Their lack of compassion and unprofessionalism will have me spreading the word that no one should spend their money to be treated or disrespected in this way. They seem comfortable talking to customers anyway without any repercussions even from their leadership. It is disgusting and absurd that managers like **** progress in this company but it also speaks volumes of their overall quality and customer service. NEVER FLY ******************** IF YOU CAN HELP IT.

      PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE do not use this airline!!!As I sit here in the ******* airport stranded and missing my connection because they can't keep a schedule I realize this is one of the most undependable operations around.They seem like a cheap ticket when you book them but they literally add on everything.Almost 75 dollars for a CARRY ON BAG!!! You read that right.A single carry on costs you even with no checked bags.Otherwise you are only allowed a personal item. They have overbooked multiple flights around me including my three times delayed one,so now they are trying to offer vouchers to get people off the plane.They literally ***** you for every little thing..."Would you like air to breathe on this flight sir??"That will be extra"I recommend a Greyhound bus before you fly with these flakes...I would love to leave negative ten stars.

      Ni una estrella ** merece me cancelaron el bueno nos subieron y bajaron de el **** dos veces y luego nos colocaron en un bus por una hora no podamos bajarnos final mente nos transvasaron a un hotel y de hay toco salir al otro da ms ****** me dieron mi confeccin que **** que salir al otro da para que **** que dormir en el aeropuerto, me toco hacer llamada internacional para poder arreglar mi confeccin al otro da la confeccin ** retazo nos subieron al **** sin mover** en por dos horas por que no tenan piloto tome en llegar a mi ciudad casi 42 hora siendo lo normal 4 horas en un vuelo y 45 minutos en la confeccin esta aerolnea necesita **r ******* juegan con el estado mental emocional de las personas como lo tiene en **rrado a uno primero una hora en un bus y despus casi dos horas en un **** sin movimiento esto no es justo

      Spirit Airlines is the worst to ever fly with they take you for everything. I booked a flight for me and my daughter who is 12 years old. It was two one way flights. $55 each. I used my points which covered my flight. I had to pay $55 which I thought was for my daughter because I entered her information. I get an email saying to check in and see agent. I was wondering why see a agent. Well my daughter wasnt booked.. Im asking why did I have to pay $55 nobody could tell me. Finally they figured it out.. Oh because you used your points early you have to pay $55 What?? The flight was $55 so what was the purpose of using my points.. That was so ******. Now I had to pay $153 for my daughter $99 to rebook my flight and $59 for checked bag.. I was livid at the lack of customer service ********************** gave. Flight was full for same day.. I sat at the airport crying because this was actually thanksgiving!! I spending extra money for nothing..Now my family was trying to get me to my destination!! I found a flight with Delta the same day.. I booked with delta while at the airport. I walked to the service desk to cancel a flight I just made at first I was told no. Then she said 5 to 7 days and the flight was canceled. The next day I get a text saying check In the flight. What?? I cancelled this. I call customer service it was never cancelled from the airport. Now I was told I would receive my refund for the cancelled flight.. I cant get the $59 for checked bad $99 rebooking fee.. Only the $153 ok at least ** getting some money back. I called today and yet again I was freaking lied to.. I was told Im not getting the $153 for a cancellation which was cancelled within 24hours more like 20min.. I only could get $53 credit I couldnt believe it.. because I cancelled 24 hours but if u cancelled 24 hours and 7 early u cant get your money I want my money yall robbed me. I flew out on delta and it was the best flight. This is a shame how they **** u dry for everything. The hidden fees

      We were at *** two hours before our flight. Between the airport itself and the rude, incompetent people at the Spirit Airlines check in we missed our flight. We made it to the gate right at departure time and were turned away. When we spoke to a Spirit employee about our missed flight, he was so rude, wouldn't look up from his phone or make eye contact with us. We were not offered another flight until the next day and had to be in ****** that day, so we were out of pocket for another flight. We could get no assistance from the Spirit people at ***, so we called Spirit Airlines requesting a refund or flight credit and were told we were a "no show" and they couldn't help us! VERY bad experience!

      I would give this airline zero stars. They have horrible customer representative that are rude and lie. I booked a flight from *********** to ********* in February, my flight was booked to leave at 6 in the morning and to land at 650. A month after booking I get an email stating my flight has changed almost 10hr difference. When I contacted them to ask why my flight was changed they representative said it was because of some storm that was going on. I reminded her that my flight was not till February and how did she know that there was going to be a storm that will affect my flight 3 months from now. She continued to say that it was a storm happening now. still never got a straight answer. When I asked if I could simply get compensation for my reservation and plans that were paid for and now cancelled with no refund for the flight change they said they are not entitled and can not give compensation for baggage just refunds for the the tickets.

      This is my first and last time flying with Spirit Airlines. Customer service was horrible starting with a not telling us about a delayed boarding process, unprofessional staff, disorganized staff, speaking to the customers in a rude manner and arguing with customers. Boarding didn’t not begin as scheduled and I was notified an hour late and that was via email.
