      I was running late for a flight out of *******. I had prepaid for my luggage and fast security. I called the number to have my flight changed and paid $99.00. The representative on the phone told me I could move it to the next flight at 9:00 (my original was at 8:15 AM) I said okay great and paid it. Come to airport and run around to get my luggage checked - there were spirit representatives not helping customers but standing around talking while there is a massive line. I get to the ticket counter and she said my flight was at 9:00 PM not AM. I had to book another flight through southwest to make it to my destination. I had to be on a cruise at 4:00 pm and never wouldve agreed to the 9:00 Pm flight. I called back to get my money back and they refused. You scammed me out of almost $200.00!

      I only gave one star to write this review/complaint: Flight 1179 Baltimore to Vegas has been delayed affecting my mothers ability to get to her connecting flight to Reno which was not delayed/adjusted for those who will be flying to Reno. The customer service she is receiving from he rep and the reps supervisor is absolutely awful. The supervisor put her on hold for over ten minutes and then hung up on her. Weather is clear In Baltimore and Reno and there are no weather advisories listed on their site for either location. They will not refund her money or make other accommodations (i.e. change of flight without a fee or waive cancellation fees). I have pictures of the weather and the current flight advisories on their website for Baltimore and Vegas and there is no weather issues at either location. They leave passenger stranded and scam them out of their money. After being left on hold for an extended period of time, they hung up on my mother. Absolutely disgusting!

      Delayed flights multiple times and canceled flight 20 minutes vefire boarding after flight delayed 4 times. No comp no service no refund nothing. Unwilling to help and rude customer service.

      Flight cancelled due to hurricane ******, spirit will it refund the money I spent to check bags and would not re schedule the flight for my family. *************** cannot be understood and hangs up on you when you ask to speak to a supervisor.This has happened to me and my travel agent. I have filed complaints with the bbb, ********* airport, my credit card companies.Do not under any circumstances use this company. Avoid these scammers

      WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. On August 9, 2022, I booked Spirit Airline, located at *********, and was having problems with the boarding attendants. We had a party of 5, three went in already and I was with my son waiting to be boarded. The boarding attendants with large reprimanding attitude toward my son and I, want us to pay for extra large size luggage fee. We had arrived with the same luggage and departed with the same luggage. Two boarding attendants restrain us from boarding the plane until we paid for the oversize luggage. The fee was $178. My wallet was with my friend already boarded onto the plane. They would not let her give me my wallet, or else we all have would have to rebook all our flight. My son was crying, and was having a panic attack because of the situation that was happening. To this day my son would still have nightmare about the incident and would say in his sleep, "Mom just pay the attendant, pay the attendants, I am scared." I have tried to resolve this situation with customer service when I called the head quarter. They have also said they could not resolve the problem. I want back my $178 I paid for the extra luggage fee, and an apology from Spirit for the distress my son and I have endured.

      These guys are the worst.We book & pay for a flight, months in advance with a credit card...Payment in-full up-front is REQUIRED.Then Spirit always changes your flight, to ridiculous flight times, and adds a stop, to a non-stop flight...making it impossible... So you have to CANCEL.Because of their, changes, not yours. Not Fair.They will NOT simply refund your credit card for the amount you actually pre-paid.Always force you to take a voucher.I don't want a voucher...I don't plan to use your airline in the future because this happens repeatedly.I want my money refunded because they didn't fulfill their contract obligation, nor provide me any service.Instead all they do is cost the consumer stolen ****** *******

      Wow! First time flying this company, worst experience. Lady in ***** would not let us through the door because we were one minute late for the 15 minute departure time. I said we have 14 minutes before departure and I begged and pleaded and she said, once that door closes shes not allowed to open it to anyone. I asked her what I should do and she said, not her problem. When we finally got to ****** 10 hours & $500 later, the boy at the ticketing place, very disrespectful. **** us to stop whining and that he loves to argue back and will keep going. What? I kept looking around for cameras to see if I was on some sort of hidden reality tv show. I guess when you buy cheap flights you get what you pay for!

      Flight cancelled last min (9 hours till the flight), after check in ( booked 4 months in advance ) due to weather. Had to buy 3 new tickets via united last min in order to meet up with my parents who don't speak english and just arrived to visit us. Maybe spirit can ask united how they manage to fly due to inclined weather?? flight oct 1st ****** - ***** VF91WC. $750 later made it miami via united.

      I wish I could give a negative review. I booked my flight in JULY for a PLANNED birthday celebration for my 40th! Spirit CANCELED my trip and literally gave me the run around for hours about rebooking me at the same rate. They wanted me to pay almost five times more than I had paid for the flight that THEY canceled. There were five other people that were going with me that also had their flight canceled Each rep was HORRIBLE, even the supervisors. One supervisor told me to hang up and call back for another supervisor when I asked to speak with his manager. TERRIBLE customer service. They lack professionalism and common knowledge of when the mistake is yours you correct it. They REFUSED to give me the price it was booked for. Initially told me that I canceled it, then said that I didnt confirm the ticket and I replied back by saying that me paying for it was confirmation that I wanted it. Then they said that it was due to Covid. Come on Covid started in 2019. Its almost 2023. STop blaming stuff on Covid
