Checked in one minute late and had to pay $100.00 rebooking fee when most airlines will rebook for free. I want my money back Spirit!!

My wife left her wallet under the seat. We realized it at baggage claim and spoke to an agent. The gate called back and said they had it and would bring it over. We got the wallet back, minus all the cash that was in it. They literally stole from us.

Sept 3, 2022 Flight 1790 Orlando FL to SLC UT. I paid $86 for a premium seat that had more legroom and the seat happened to be in the Emergency Exit. My wife is from Spain and she speak Spanish and some limited English and she was sitting next to me. The Flight attendant asked a question to my wife about helping others in case of an emergency. Since my wife knows just a little English, she was confused and answered the question incorrectly. The flight attendant insisted that my wife was not qualified to be on the emergency exit row because she speaks Spanish and doesn't speak English as well. And that this is FAA rules that we must be removed from our seats. The flight attendant forced us to trade seats with 2 other passengers in a seat that was very uncomfortable and did not have the same legroom. The flight attendant assured us that we would be refunded the $86. She also asked us to speak to the gate agent which will confirm that we would get refunded. We spoke to the gate agent who assured us that we would be refunded the $86 in 10 days. That refund never arrived. I called the customer service to request the refund. The customer service agent refused. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor also refused. The supervisor insisted I speak to a CHAT agent who is his direct superior and that they would issue my refund. I spoke to the CHAT agent and they insisted that they don't issue refunds. The CHAT agent insisted that I can only send an email for a refund. I have spent over 2 hours and they are playing games with me just to avoid issuing a refund that should have been issued to me. I just want the $86 that is due to me.

I would love to leave zero. I hate I was dumb enough to trust them after all of the horror stories, but had no choice since I didnt actually choose who to book with. Spirit employees obviously have no customer service training along with company having no morals. We arrived an hour before our flight checked in via phone, was told we had to go to the kiosk which we ended up not needing to do, to be told they were down and needed to go to guest assistance so at this time 40 minutes before our flight and they would not allow us to board after wasting 20 minutes of our time due to employees lack of knowledge, broken equipment, and straight up terrible customer service. I waited two week for a response to receive a complete inaccurate description of what happened. They even went as far as to lie and say we were offered a same day flight with no additional charges when we were offered a next day flight for $99 more! This is the most pathetic excuse for a company, dont pay them because of their low prices, they deserve to be out of business

I booked a flight 2 months in advance for myself and 2 grandsons. Our flight was to depart OHare Airport at 6:59pm. We arrived around 5:15pm to go through the process of boarding. When we got there I asked a gentleman who worked on the terminal floor to assist me in getting in the correct line. He was handling crowd control.. He wore a black suit and had a walkie talkie. There were so many people that the lines were connecting with other airlines. We got in the line that he told us and we stayed there for 30 something minutes, only to find out he put us as well as other customers in the wrong line. talkie. We missed our flight! Spirit said sorry, would you like to book another flight.

Spirit Airlines is the worst airline to do business with. Due to a state of emergency, I was worried about flying - government officials said that the roads weren't safe to travel in ******* - I canceled day of reservation and was told due to the situation would get a full refund - 2 weeks later no refund - I called them and they said I wasn't eligible for a refund just a credit - That I don't won't !!!

Worst experience in my life. I booked a flight from ******** ****** to ********* ****** almost a month prior to departure. I booked this for 2 young ladies from ******* that worked with me over the summer. This is part of a college exchange program. These 2 ladies worked 7 days a week for the entire summer. This trip from ******** to ********* was the first leg of their 2 week trip that ends in Maui. I booked this flight for around $50 each. I get a message in the morning telling me these young ladies were charged $324 for their luggage.EACH! I couldnt believe it. How does an airline charge 5 times the total cost of the flight.for their luggage? I was shocked. This is supposed to be one of the happiest days for them, and it begins with this outrageous charge. It completely ruined their day. I felt horrible of course because I booked this flight for them. I travel often and have never had an experience like this. Im going to do everything in my power to spread the word about spirit airlines. I know I am only one person, and Im not delusional.but Im going to social media, and everywhere I can leave a review, Im leaving reviews. If I can even save one person or family from dealing with this company.I call that a win.(UPDATE) I blame myself for this. I have always been vigilante when dealing with businesses and look up reviews....and this time I did not. I honestly figured "Its an airline right....how bad can it be?" To my surprise...they have over ****** terrible and bad reviews just on trip advisor alone. Looks like I am the idiot in this situation.

What an absolute miserable experience. The people at the front kiosk kicked a MILITARY FAMILY off the flight for not having a ticket for their daughter who just turned 2 (day of). The people at Chicago O'Hare International Airport were completely unwilling to work with the family that serves our country. They refused to give them credit for another flight even though the airline had sent a email earlier asking for volunteers to go to a different flight since they had overbooked. They employees told the family "I work here, you don't," "fly or don't and lose your tickets."Spirit Airlines did not honor the sale of the tickets and did not give any indication that the 2 year old would need their own ticket even though they had the date of birth for the 2 year old on record. In addition they would not provide vouchers or allow any transfers of the tickets to help some of the family members get home to work.Their unwillingness to help and the complete dismissal of the employees at O'Hare  Airport, as well as the manager, may have cost one of our military member's jobs effectively harming their livelihood in addition to their military service. The way our military family was treated by these people were absolutely abhorrent.
