I wish I'd read MDLive's reviews before engaging with them. Don't make the same mistake. Avoid them at all costs.I had a telehealth appointment with ***************************** today through MDLive. It was my first time using the service and probably my last.Even though all info was input into the MDLive online portal, ***************************** made me repeat everything. ***************************** was aggressive, rude and extremely condescending. She did not listen to me at all She even had the audacity to state that my doctor didn't write my PRN medication script correctly. The kicker is that she submitted notes that she educated me on my condition and recommended a particular diet. She never discussed any of those things with me.In fact, because she was not pleased with the way my doctor wrote my script, we disconnected the call. She did not do a refill.I contacted MDLive Support immediately after the call. The rep who answered told me that the doctor completed the visit. I explained exactly what happened and said they should listen to the call as all calls are recorded. I asked the rep to look to see if the refill was done. Once she checked, she saw that no refill was done. What a scam MDLive appears to be. The rep stated she could not give me a refund or schedule an appointment with another doctor.Great way to make money providing poor service.

Awful experience!I made an appointment with MDLive this morning after experiencing the worst sinusitis Ive experienced in years. I know my symptoms well and have no doubt that I need an antibiotic.I have had these symptoms for 2 days. I am treating the pain with 2 different over the counter antipyretics so the fact that I am not registering a fever is of no surprise. After speaking with the Dr he informed me that I had to positive for a fever for TEN (10) days!!!!What????Most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I ask him to repeat himself and I absolutely heard him right the first time.I am filing a complaint with the ************* as well as ** attorney general. This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. It is quite dangerous to tell someone this. I plan on a very long follow up making sure my insurance does not pay for such neglectful service.Im still shocked that this particular Dr even said this to me.Dont waste your time or money on this site

For over a month we have been fighting a charge for services that should have been covered. I have spent well over and hour and a half on the phone with MDLive and my insurance for a virtual visit for my husband. We have been charged $82 on our credit card for a covered service, yet no one seems to be able to fix the problem despite REPEATED assurances it was dealt with. We were told we were getting a refund. That didn't happen. We were told to file a claim with our insurance. That was rejected because the MDLive paperwork was garbage. Now we have filed a dispute with our credit card. Let AMEX deal with these inept people. Nothing but lies and lip service. Being told over and over everything is correct but nothing is fixed is just a joke. We will never make the mistake of using MDLive again. BCBS should also cease any relationship with this organization as they cannot do their job.

Nothing but headaches. Somehow they got an incorrect number for me and then starting calling it leaving unauthorized voicemails to this account, violating HIPPA. On no less than 5 occasions, attempts to correct this were unsuccessful. When I tried to use their PCP service, it was a nightmare trying to get my PCP assigned to MDLive. MDLive was of no use and my insurance kept fighting back. Eventually I got my PCP assigned and tried using their services only to have them canceled saying Im not assigned to MDLive. I continue to have issues calling in as no one will correct my account on the customer side and no one will transfer me to a supervisor. Calling the public customer line results in someone who does not help and absolves themselves of guilt. Heres my tips, dont use MDLive. I have sent multiple emails trying to get a supervisor to call me with no success. They refer me back to the customer service line.

The service with MDlive was horrible. I paid $63 for a visit on Monday 4/1/24. I received a call back at 2:40pm. I explained my symptoms. I'm having flu like symptoms with redness in my left eye, pain in my left throat and left ear. Congestion in my nose and coughing. I was told to discontinue any over the counter medicine. I have a viral infection. I was told to get ***** and was prescribed benzonatate 200MG 3 times a day for the cough. I ask the doctor will these 2 meds will relieve all the issues I was having. I was told yes. I also ask if I would need any antibiotics. I was told no that antibiotics are not used for a viral infection. About 1 hr later I started the treatment plan. I was in a lot of pain in my throat and ear and keep coughing unable to sleep. On 4/2/24 I called back at 10:28pm to let them know the meds was not working and I was in a lot of pain. I was told I needed to pay another $63 to speak to another doctor. I asked why if its the same symptoms that were not treated properly on my first call. I was told it like going to the emergency if you have to go back for the same issue you will be billed twice. I told her Im not paying twice. On 4/3/24 I called MDlive at 3:56pm and requested a supervisor call back. At 4:39pm I received a call back for a supervisor and she told me I had Covid I did not have Covid that was another Patient info. She then advised someone will call me back. I never received a call back. I called back at 5:44pm and was told a new request for a supervisor call back was submitted. I did not receive a call back at 7:57pm I called back and was transferred to the supervisor extension no answer so I left a voicemail message. Now its 11:30PM and I'm unable to sleep due to the pain in my ear and throat. Im yet to receive a call back from MDlive. I'm not getting any help. In my opinion theres no care for the patient. MDLive wants me to pay multiple times to resolve the same issue. Which I dont believe is fair.

Thank you for choosing MDLIVE where you can get immediate access to doctors and therapists 24/7 by video or phone. It is our mission to deliver an incredible customer service experience never seen before in healthcare by providing superb, affordable care anytime, anywhere in a confidential and totally trustworthy manner. We appreciate your feedback, and we continuously strive to improve our patient experience.

An attempt was made to contact you via the primary phone number listed within your MDLIVE account to further discuss your recent experience. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you and a message with call back information was left on your voicemail. We apologize for any inconvenience encountered for any delayed with receiving a supervisor call back.

First and foremost, a written prescription is not guaranteed. Treatment plans are developed for everyone based on their specific clinical signs and symptoms. Clinically, we strive to adhere to the *** guidelines regarding Antibiotic Stewardship VirusOrBacteria-Original-P.pdf (cdc.gov) and only prescribe antibiotics when a physician, in their clinical judgement, determines the necessity, (i.e., viral vs. bacterial infection).  In this case, the physicians clinical determination was that antibiotics were not warranted. Perhaps with further explanation, patient would have better appreciation of or acceptance of proposed treatment plan. We apologize for any frustration and confusion experienced.

I've tried MDLive twice already. The second time, I asked them again to remove my account again. Based on what I'm reading here and their replies to these complaints, I'm glad I have.My last experience involved a mental health counselor. I had scheduled 2 previous appointments with him, but needed to cancel them both. He had called and left me a message on my home answering system, and I was rather concerned about it. So, I called MDLive and asked them to look into it. I never really got a valid response, they never indicated to me why he made that call. So, I decided to think perhaps that he may have been concerned for my well being, perhaps that was the reason, who knew. I scheduled another appointment with the same gentleman, he had very good reviews on other websites I found. I had a very traumatic incident I wanted to discuss with a qualified therapist. He was late for the appointment, and I called MDLive about it, then he made his virtual appointment, and started the appointment, while I was on the phone about it. He told me he was late because of another client. Seemed reasonable.I understood he was late. We began this discussion with my explaining what happened. He immediately stated, "if it was my business, then I'd be (very concerned) about anyone posting on the internet anything bad about me." On retrospect, that seemed rather harsh, I was looking for therapy, not a lecture. He didn't have his face showing, just his eyes and perhaps his nose during our discussion which was strange. My entire body, face and room were visible. He immediately demanded to know my "psychiatric history," which I told him I wasn't ready to disclose to him at that point. He told me it was "mandatory" for MDLive. I told him that I wasn't going to do that. He told me we weren't working together, I agreed. I did become agitated and started swearing at him, I admit it. Very happy not to use their platform ever again.

I had to pay $15 for my visit and then they charged me an additional $15 saying that I never paid. I got on the phone with my insurance company and they called them. Oh but get this. They told my insurance company that they could not talk to them unless I was on the phone also. What kind of bull c*** is this? You are telling my insurance company that you can't talk to them about giving me back my refund? Please tell your family and friends not to go here at all.

Dont waste your time. The doctor prescribed me a medication I never heard of. I consulted with my family doctor after seeing several pages of warnings that came with the prescription and he advised not to take. My insurance was incorrectly billed and they REFUSED to re-bill. Never heard of a doctors office not rebilling an insurance company. A representative told me I owed half of what I paid but wouldnt refund or rebill. They told me to submit a claim with my insurance on my own? My insurance said that would then be considered out of network if I submitted a claim on my own. A wild goose chase that I feel I shouldnt be a part of. Continuing to dispute my charges.
