      Both my daughter and I were mislead, misinformed, a total violation of our consumer rights. I see that this is common for Westgate Resort based on these reviews, I wish I saw them before. The sales rep answered our question repeatedly about the cancelation policy and advised us that we can cancel at any time, after spending close to 4hours being pressured into buying a timeshare, at the end of it all there is no way we were able to read through the entire contract to see that we had only 10 days to cancel. At no point, did anyone state or verbally discuss the cancelation and risk, no because they did not want to clearly state our rights. It has been 4-6 weeks. The sales team sales manager told us this was a VIP offer where instead of 1 week, it's unlimited weeks that is being offered and that day was the last to secure thar deal. When we decided to walk away say we could not afford it, they offered an odd or 1/2 offer, so you basically paying on a high interest loan for year with lack of usage till a year later, none of the benefits such as the 150 westgate to westgate or 229 interchange offer is available till ****, and all lies that this is unlimited weeks. The sales trying to deny all of what he told us, of course he done made a sale. I called today corporate customer service to cancel and was told, there is cancelation option, no apologies offered, no options or empathy for what took place. I am sending in a cancelation and getting an attorney and I need this contract to be voided immediately, its all based on deception and lies and total taking advantage of consumers.**************

      Dios estoy ms que arrepentida, el vendedor que nos casi exigi a comprar el tiempo compartido nos dijo muchas mentiras, que *** compra era exclusiva, que poda hacer reservas fuera de ************** con una tarifa de 250 dlares en hoteles 5 estrellas por semana, y podra hacer reserva por 150 dolares la semana en el mismo resort, que podramos rentar a otras personas por precios ms ***** para nosotros, me cont la historia de que supuestamente en *****************, ******** un hotel por 1 semana en la.zona de ******** para su hermano, me dijeron que si quera cancelar o vender el tiempo compartido el resort nos ayudara a la venta, pero TODO ABSOLUTAMENTE TODO FUE MENTIRA, estoy pagando hasta la fecha 12 mil dolares, 12 mil dlares perdidos porque no puedo ocupar los resort, los precios para propietarios son exageradamente altas a comparacin de otros hoteles, incluso la notaria pblica de nacionalidad ******* nos dio la misma informacion, llame para decir que necesito devolver este compartido y me dijeron que tent que venderlo yo o un reactor, osea ellos tampoco te ayudan con eso, llame a la.notaria y al vendedor, jamas me respondieron las llamadas, la seorita que atendi mi llamada prcticamente se ri de mi cuando le dije q esto era una estafa.. que ********** que me ofrecieron me estaban cumpliendo, ahora no s como cancelar este contrato

      It is becoming increasingly evident that Westgate Resorts is not worried about their brand or their members as they continue to ignore my issues. I can only assume I am not alone, in my experience. As such, I feel like it is my duty to report my story, so others can avoid this trap. My concerns regarding the misleading information and pressure I have encountered throughout my interactions with Westgate. Instead of understanding my financial constraints, Westgate personnel tag teamed up to push me towards the sale. Feeling pressured, I reluctantly made the purchase in 2019. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances of the ******19 pandemic, I was unable to utilize my timeshare for two years. Despite this, I was still expected to pay the maintenance fee. When I questioned the fairness of this, considering the pandemic's impact on travel, no accommodation was provided. In fact, I was threatened with collections if I didn't pay. Fearing the consequences for my credit score, I reluctantly paid the fee. I was told to make this work for me, 2021 and 2022: I need to upgrade again which was a direct result of fearing the loss of potential equity. Throughout my entire experience with Westgate, I have come to realize the extent of the misinformation I have been subjected to. I was promised the ability to exchange my week to any Westgate location free of charge, only to discover that there was an exchange fee when I attempted to book a trip to Vegas. Additionally, the travel credit system was misrepresented to me, leading me to believe it covered a more sizable portion of expenses and was more cost-effective than it is. I believe it is crucial for Westgate to take responsibility for the misinformation and pressure tactics used during the sales process.

      I wrote the Executive Vice President of Westgate Resorts over a month ago; and have heard nothing back from him or any other member of Management. Unfortunately, I fell victim to their unscrupulous sales team in *********, most recently when they talked me into upgrading my ownership in 2021. At the time, because of *****, it felt like promises being delayed, were somewhat expected. Now I have found that everything I was sold was simply a farce. I was blatantly lied to by the salespeople at Westgate Resorts *********. I hope no one follows in my steps. In my letter, I have demanded that Westgate Resorts terminate my timeshare contract due to what is simply fraud. I was subjected to deceptive sales tactics and extreme pressure, both of which heavily influenced my decision to buy. I was led to believe that access to Westgate LV Resorts was an exclusive opportunity reserved solely for owners. However, I have since discovered that anyone can rent them at significantly lower rates, thus contradicting the exclusivity claim as well as the affordability for future travel. I was also assured that this was a sound real estate investment. Given assurances that the property's value would appreciate, coupled with the potential for lucrative rentals and resales. This information has proven to be inaccurate, and the promised benefits have not materialized. I was told that I would become a travel partner and as a partner, I would be able to redirect any profits from the rental to go towards payment of the mortgage and maintenance fees, so I wouldnt be forced to pay for this out of pocket. The deceptive sales tactics, pressure, and misrepresentations are the reasons that I have demanded my contract be terminated immediately.

      DO NOT TRUST Westgate! We were fed a load of lies and contact with the company is terrible. We asked so many questions and were provided a rosy picture of using the timeshare is parts over two years...on and on. Well, when we were trying to use this we found out it was 'high demand' time and added $750 fee to use it. Really? I could just book a hotel and pay that! Not to mention that basically every week is 'high demand' everywhere! We contacted the people we purchased this from almost two years ago and were provided our 'exit' options. We can give them the timeshare back and pay the transfer fees, deed it to someone else and pay the transfer fee, or sell it ourselves. If this isn't worth anything and Westgate won't even pay to sell it back to someone else it must be worthless! I do however see a 4th option of suing for false advertisement. We asked many times about fees and were told we could go to any Westgate with a $159? fee. Never ever was it told about high usage time. We own another timeshare so we are very aware how this works. We didn't go into this blindly. I just wish we would have saved ourselves the 8 hours spend in their office haggling over such a stupid investment. We have been lied to over and over. SAVE YOURSELF, READ THE REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY, AND DONT GIVE THEM ONE MINUTE OF YOUR TIME OR BREATH. Worst company I have EVER had to associate with.

      Buying a timeshare with Westgate at the Smoky Mountains has become an enormous regret. We were so sorely misled on what we were getting into with this timeshare. Never would have bought it had we known the truth about them. We were told before we bought maintenance fees rarely go up ever, only to find out they go up every year like clockwork. They told us we could exchange for other resorts anytime for no extra costs and then later found out there is a fee. We were told we could get cruise and travel with our ************** to find out later that we had to have points. There are major issues with availability at the resort. So many fees they don't tell you about up front. Unclean rooms with clothes left behind. Unable to use the resort when we need to schedule. We feel like we were totally scammed. Don't want to be an owner with a company that lied to us and no matter how many times we have told them, they don't seem to care. Won't let us out of the contract. The whole thing has been a nightmare and now we are trapped in a timeshare and a ton of fees with a company that doesn't seem to care we were lied to. Would not recommend this to anyone

      Review to be posted (copy & paste as review): Don't buy a timeshare here! I was pressured repeatedly for around 8 hours to sign up to to be a timeshare owner, which turns out is a lifelong contract that's very hard to get out of. Salesman followed me around the entire time, even when on a personal call. Did not give me the true facts and would not give me any room to think. I have told them over and over I want out since the day after I bought it and they will not take my name off it. Not worth the money or hassle. I would never agree to sit through a presentation again.

However, you were never obligated to remain past the agreed-upon time to receive your incentive or to purchase a timeshare. Ultimately, you have the right to inform the sales staff or closing officer of any discomfort to ensure proper action is taken, or refrain from purchasing if your concerns are not addressed to your satisfaction. To add, we can confirm that you did come back the following day wanting to cancel and chose to accept an alternate unit instead. Our records indicate you were not satisfied with the initial unit purchased.

      Ultimately,Westgates position stands that full and fair disclosure of all purchase terms was provided to you at the time of sale, including the financial obligations associated with the purchase.
