      I had the misfortune of dealing with Westgate in Gatlinburg and it’s left me a victim of their timeshare scams. I was promised free gifts for a quick hour of my time, only to be subjected to outright sales fraud! Don’t fall for anything the Westgate salespeople say, they will manipulate you, lie and con you into signing a contract. I’ve been left trapped in a contract with them all because of their greedy sales team. They were very aggressive, at one-point multiple salespeople were bombarding me and constantly pressuring me to sign legal documents that were not properly explained to me.

      The “exclusive” luxury resorts turned out to be anything but. They said Westgate has a partnership with Disney and that too was all nonsense. Furthermore, I discovered that they ran my credit multiple times without my authorization. How is it that they are getting away with this?

      This whole ordeal has been terrible, I’ve been financially and emotionally abused by Westgate. I regret ever getting involved with them! This isn’t buyer’s remorse; this is simply fraud. I never thought I’d be in a situation like this and from what I’m reading I’m not the only one that has been scammed. I’ve only been able to use the timeshare 3 times and it was not what I was told it was going to be. This is simply not fair, what I’m paying is nowhere near worth it! I’ve done everything possible to get this sorted out, but I’ve been ignored and none of the salespeople that I’ve tried to follow up with have been responsive. Something must be done! We need to band together to do something about Westgate, this timeshare scam has gone far enough!

      Ms. ******, first and
      foremost, we certainly appreciate your long-term ownership since 2013 and your
      belief in the value of your timeshare ownership. It is our most sincere regret
      to read that you no longer wish to be the owner of a timeshare with Westgate
      Resorts. While we take your claims from the date of sale very seriously, we ask
      you to understand that the purchase was over ten years ago, making any claim
      for relief at this point, improbable. However, out of respect for your
      concerns, we will address them as well as we can.



      We
      apologize if you felt uncomfortable or pressured in any way while attending our
      sales presentation. Please remember that to receive the promised gifts, you
      were only required to attend the presentation for 90 minutes and had no
      obligation to remain past that time or to purchase. We ask for you to
      understand that it would have been at your discretion to inform the sales staff
      or closing officer of any discomfort to ensure proper action was taken and
      refrain from purchasing if your concerns were not addressed to your
      satisfaction. While Westgate is a sales-driven company, at no point were you
      forced to stay or purchase a timeshare.



      Please also be advised that we
      require documentation to support your claim that your credit was checked during
      the presentation, as our records do not support this claim. If you wish to
      provide us with the requested documentation, we encourage you to submit this to
      the email address shown at the bottom of this letter so that we may perform
      further research into this matter. In the absence of such documentation, please
      be advised that this claim is unfounded.



      While you have stated that you
      have not been able to completely utilize your timeshare, please be advised that
      our records indicate that you have used your timeshare on nine (9) separate
      occasions. Please allow us to clarify that there are five (5) completed
      reservations on your account, one (1) cancellation of a confirmed reservation,
      one (1) no-show on a confirmed reservation, and on two (2) separate occasions, you
      deposited your week with a third-party exchange company. Please know that
      Westgate stands ready and willing to fulfill its contractual obligations as
      agreed upon at the time of purchase. With that being said, please be advised
      that your contract remains valid, enforceable, and it will not be cancelled.

      FALSE ADVERTISEMENT...We went to 90min presentation, thank God we didn't purchase the time share. Unfortunately we did purchase a room package which was advertised as having access to the Owners meals & westgate club. Once we arrived we were told it was not included for this resort. Can you say FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I wish we would had read the reviews before hand. Hope this helps someone else.

      I was subjected to immense pressure to purchase a timeshare during a mandatory sales presentation at Westgate Resort. The sales representatives provided false information concerning the terms and benefits, and I was coerced into signing the agreement without receiving a copy of what was discussed.

      I consistently declined their offers, but they continued to reduce the price in an attempt to convince me. They informed me that I could pay a down payment in installments of $200 per month for four months and that my monthly payment would remain at $300, which was untrue. I am now paying $547 per month. The representative claimed that this “investment” would be a valuable addition to my will, allowing my children to benefit and generate profit by renting it out. She failed to disclose that my children would be responsible for the timeshare's costs after my passing. The sales representative also assured me that upgrading to platinum would allow me to book reservations with ease. However, every time I attempted to make a reservation two or three months in advance, there was never any availability. I cannot figure out for the life of me what I am paying for and why. This timeshare is absolutely useless, and Westgate has been unresponsive to my attempt to dissolve my “ownership”.

      Beware of Westgate, their tactics and lies, and shady salespeople, specifically Yailen ***** in Kissimmee, Florida.
      During the timeshare presentation led by Ms. *****, we endured over two hours of pressure and deception. She promised we could rent the timeshare on Airbnb to cover its costs, convincing us to agree to an $11,999 purchase with $176 monthly payments. After the presentation, we tried setting up the Airbnb listing, but failed. Ms. ***** ignored our calls for help. When we sought cancellation information within the 7-day grace period, our inquiries were met with excuses, leaving us stuck in a contract.
      The reality was disastrous. The timeshare costs were higher than stated, and the promised rental income was a sham. Despite our efforts, we couldn't use the timeshare, yet we are saddled with monthly payments and fees.
      Westgate and Ms. *****'s tactics are not just unethical but outright fraud. This is a warning to others to be cautious of Westgate and avoid falling for false promises. Their actions are disgraceful, and they should be held accountable for fostering such behavior among its staff!

      If i could give them a no star i would have. They dont deserve any thing.
      We fell for a discounted vacation package, but during the presentation, they fed us a bunch of lies that were the complete opposite of what our timeshare is actually like. And the maintenance fees that were only supposed to be around 700 have went to more than 1,000 dollars and it goes up every year.They were outright lies from the sales people. Westgate Resorts encourages their sales representatives to lie.I'm demanding they cancel my agreement as soon as possible. I'm tired of dealing with there **!

      I urge anyone considering a timeshare with Westgate to stay far, far away. The level of dishonesty, manipulation, and outright deception employed by Westgate during the sales pitch was beyond appalling.

      I was offered a free weekend stay in Florida, contingent upon a 90-minute presentation. Little did I know that this 'brief' presentation would devolve into four hours. We repeatedly expressed disinterest, yet they persisted, making it clear that our 'no' meant nothing. We were subjected to false promises of exotic travel destinations and exclusive perks that turned out to be nothing but empty lies.

      The tactics used by the Westgate sales team were reminiscent of a shady used car dealership. We were assured that becoming Westgate members would save us money on travel, but hidden fees and charges made it significantly more expensive than booking independently. Their claims of the timeshare being an 'investment' were outright lies. The reality was a worthless timeshare that we couldn't even rent out to recoup our losses.

      The irregularities didn't end with the sales pitch. Westgate tampered with our financial information, forcing us to lie about the sale. During the closing process, details were withheld, and we were rushed through signing a contract worth tens of thousands of dollars.

      After six years of paying over $10,000 to Westgate, we have received none of the promised benefits. No ease of travel, no flexibility in stays, and certainly no return on investment!

      UPDATE:

      I cannot recommend Westgate Resorts to anyone. They are horrible. We got involved with Westgate timeshares while visiting Las Vegas and it cost us over $10,000 for that piece of crap. We are now fighting to get out of a contract imposed through manipulation, slander and sales fraud. The way they trapped us into making us members of their so-called timeshare was terrible. They bombarded us, ignoring our clear disinterest, and presented us with a contract based on lies that they never intended to honor. We are now trying to cancel the timeshare. In exchange for some gifts, we had to attend a presentation where the pressure to buy was intense and they used many tricks on us. It lasted several hours and the pressure from the salespeople and management was very aggressive. He was relentless and when we finally declined, they brought in another salesperson who cared very little about our time constraints or our children exhausted from being there so long. They offered us a deal that seemed too good to be true, and guess what? It was. The hidden costs and high interest rates only became apparent after we had already committed to purchasing. We were never given a chance to properly review what we were getting into. They did it on purpose to trick us and keep our money. This entire experience has left our family afraid and anxious. Westgate's tactics are shady and they are more interested in taking your money than providing any real value. I feel compelled to warn others about this predatory behavior. We are trapped in a contract that was basically imposed through deception and manipulation. If you value honesty and respect, stay far, far away from this place. There is no doubt that they are taking advantage of Hispanics. I hope someone investigates them and stops scamming innocent people.

      During the timeshare presentations Westgate employees have my pic on their cell phone. I don't know these employees. They say the Siegals gave them my pic. They tell the customers I'm a child molester and that's why I have a hit. My children's father a Retired Sgt.Ive made several Police Reports against the Siegal crime family. I've even went to the Real Estate Division.

      My boyfriend booked us a reservation and due to my income being higher, the lady put the reservation under my name without my knowledge or consent. When I confronted her when I found out at check she was very rude and kept cutting me off while I was trying to talk. If I don’t attend their 90 minute tour in the morning then she threaten to charge my boyfriend more money for our hotel room. I do not recommend and would give zero stars if I could.
