Westgate, your exploitation is disgusting! This serves as a warning: Beware of the Westgate snakes! How do you let a company get away with this? See what others say about them. This company should be shut down for lying and deceiving people with their timeshares. Don't make the mistake that many of us made and don't fall for their terrible tricks and lies. What they tell you in the presentations is not true. It's all rubbish and they leave you with overwhelming debt. I have reason to believe that they are focusing their efforts on Hispanics.       Westgate Resorts should be your last choice when vacationing! If there was a place to camp on a beach-I would recommend choosing that before going to a Westgate Resort. We have reached out to this company several times regarding their tactics in getting us to sign the contract. After being trapped in a high-pressure sales attach {it wasn't a presentation, after the first hour it was a full-on attack!), we were convinced to sign a contract based on what the representatives told us we were getting. We found out long after that the sales representatives told any number of lies, and omitted very important information. We were even convinced by the representative to pay an extra sum by June 1, 2023 to lower our interest rates. When we returned home and called to arrange this we were told "oh, you didn't get that." Westgate Resort's lies continued each time they called stating they want to go over our benefits-it it actually a sales call trying to get more money out of you.
      We were pushed into signing the contract with no time to read it, no time to take it home and review it. Westgate Resorts doesn't want it's customers to know what they are getting, or make any kind of informed decision. Westgate Resorts wants money, your money-forever and you will get absolutely nothing in return,

      Westgate Palace emplyoys some of the greatest liars we have ever come across! The sales representatives are perfectly safe in their lies because they don’t record that part, don’t let you have your cell phone out and they know you will never be able to prove it. After we contacted both Westgate Resorts and a non-profit agency about the lies, we received a form letter response. Obviously, Westgate Resorts is so used to their sales representatives lying that they already have the letter typed up that says, “in the absence of supporting documentation to confirm that the allegations are valid, the written contract will always supersede any verbal statement.” Imagine being a sales person and knowing you can say whatever you want to get that sale because the company is already prepared to tell customers that they can’t prove it!
      In addition, they hand you a copy of your contract on a disc-while you are on vacation! By the time you get home and find someone with a computer that can download the documents-the state mandated rescission period is over!
      Everything about Westgate Palace is designed to be a slick way to get money from people and never having to actually provide a product or service. They don’t care what their customers are told, they have high priced lawyers who wrote an unreadable contract to protect them.
      There are timeshares in Orlando that don’t lie in order to get customers, we wish we had been allowed to do the research before signing on with such a horrible company.

      based on verbal statements that cannot be validated, when sufficient

      advised that this is an unsubstantiated claim as it is based on a verbal

      your responsibility as well as your right as a consumer to either ensure that
      your concerns were addressed by the sales team or refrain from purchasing a
      timeshare altogether. Ultimately, that final decision to stay at the sales
      presentation and purchase a timeshare was yours to make as a consumer.

      correspondence you have indicated that you received a CD-ROM containing the
      contract documents associated with your timeshare purchase. It is important to
      remember that your execution and Westgate’s delivery of said contract documents
      constitute full and fair disclosure of the purchase terms. Please know that
      Westgate too is bound to comply with the terms of the executed contract
      documents, which constitute the only verifiable evidence to establish the terms
      of your ownership. Please also allow
      us to remind you that the state affords consumers a mandated rescission
      period, which allows them additional time to review their decision and their
      documents further at their leisure. If anything was found that you did not
      like, understand, or agree with, it would have been your responsibility as well
      as your right to clarify with our representatives, and if you chose to, cancel
      the contract with no penalty if you were within the rescission period. Please
      be advised that Westgate did not receive a written request for contract
      cancellation within the time provided; therefore, your request to cancel your
      contract is respectfully denied. As such, Westgate’s position remains that your
      contract is valid and enforceable. Please also be advised that any further

      Westgate Smokey mountains held us hostage for an entire day of our vacation. The sales representatives lied and lied, wearing us down until we felt signing was the only way out. We were told by the representatives that this was a great financial investment and when we decided we no longer needed it, Westgate Resorts would sell it for us. We have reached out over and over to Westgate Resorts, only to be told what the sales representatives told us was not true. Since the contracts we signed are the only evidence-Westgate Resorts has the upper hand. They are a complete scam.

      I urge anyone considering purchasing a Westgate timeshare to think twice as my experience was nothing short of a ruthless scheme! My family and I attended a presentation in Orlando. We didn't know it would be a nightmare. The presentation was a display of misinformation and high-pressure tactics used to push us toward a so-called timeshare agreement. The representative had the audacity to keep us prisoners in a stuffy, crowded room for more than four agonizing hours. Despite our desperate pleas to leave, they physically blocked our exit. Only after numerous rejections were we reluctantly allowed to leave. We have been paying a monthly fee for a timeshare that we have not had the opportunity to use. When we attempted to make a reservation, we were informed that we had not paid a maintenance fee, an exorbitantly high sum. We were hit with additional charges for rooms at a discounted rate, supposedly because we owned a timeshare. Trying to contact customer service was an exercise in futility. Calls were handled sloppily and often ended in frustrating disconnection. It was a slap in the face. When I expressed my intention to stop payments and turn off automatic debits, they had the audacity to threaten me with a Credit Bureau report. The contract was thrown in front of us, without adequate time to review it. Not once did they bother to mention our rights in the state of Florida to "void" or cancel the contract within a specific window without financial repercussions. They also saw fit not to clarify the staggering interest rate on the loan, a critical factor that could have influenced our decision. I am furious and feeling highly betrayed by this experience! Stay out of Westgate!

      I am extremely disappointed with Westgate and their timeshares. My experience with their salespeople and their horrible customer service has been terrible and full of lies and gimmicks. From the get-go, I was misled about their prices until after my credit check, which revealed an unexpectedly high amount of interest that was never disclosed in person. Despite my reservations, aggressive sales tactics were used, including bringing in a manager to convince me with different payment options and added perks like cruises and partner hotels that was clearly all lies. After hours of pressure, I reluctantly agreed to buy in. However, the promised 3-night stay was very difficult to book, taking a month to confirm. When I arrived at the resort, I was blindsided by the requirement to take a property tour, which hadn't been disclosed earlier. The tour revealed pricing errors, and though initially discouraged, I was ultimately forced to reconsider the purchase. Throughout, I felt rushed and was not given the relevant information to fully understand my decisions. Important details like property taxes were glossed over during the closing process, obviously on purpose. Post-purchase, the customer service experience has been frustrating, with personalized numbers leading to generic customer service lines. This lack of transparency added to my frustration. Westgate is a well organized scam. Don’t fall for their tricks and lies, what you see at their sales meetings is not what you get. I am demanding a full refund of the payments and deposit and cancellation of the timeshare. I share my experience as a warning to others not to get involved with anything having to do with Westgate. It’s awful to see that Westgate is getting away with lying and cheating people. Look at what everyone else is saying!

      While on vacation Westgate Vacation Villas kept us hostage for an entire day pressuring us with their sales pitch. We were told we could rent the property to help with the payment, we could travel anywhere in the world and stay at a Westgate resort with our ownership plan, this is a great investment, a valuable property and if we decided we didn't need it down the road, Westgate resorts would buy it back. Every one of these statements is a lie. When we reached out to Westgate Resorts we were told the rescission period was over. We were not aware there even was one. Westgate Vacation Villas scammed us into lifetime commitment for something we did not understand and were manipulated into signing. The sales representatives knew this when they got us to sign, but they are sharks. Unfeeling, cold, calculating and determined to make the commission by whatever means necessary.

      I'm incredibly disappointed with my Westgate timeshare experience. A salesman deceived us about tax benefits, investment potential, and overall, the actual “ownership”. The ridiculous maintenance fees weren't clearly explained, and that the burden would pass to our children. We never received a public offering statement. The meeting was a sales pitch, not an orientation and they’ll lie and exaggerate to get you to buy. Financing terms were absurd, leading us to take a personal loan. We were misled about tax benefits, rental income, property value, Disney benefits, and exclusivity. Spending $40,000 and taking only 5 vacations in 11 years is a huge letdown. We are demanding that they terminate our agreement! We want nothing to do with this company and I hope that anyone who reads this is aware of what these people are doing. How can Westgate be allowed to get away with this? Clearly there are thousands of other people who are being ripped off. I look forward to the day that something is done, and Westgate is held accountable for what they are doing with these useless timeshares. I wish I had read into the history of this company and the owners. Westgate is bad news, and their timeshares are junk. They don’t deserve a single star they deserve to get shut down and everyone who’s been scammed to be compensated. Don’t be fooled by their sales agents and fancy hotels, there are far better options out there. I wish we knew before we became entangled in this. Westgate is nothing more than a tourist scam!
