I sent a letter to Westgate on July 17, but still no response. I guess they have nothing to say when someone calls them out for their fraudulent behavior. I have been a customer of theirs since 2000 and am finally disgusted with their behavior. Throughout the years there have been more upgrades and more scams. It is so sad to see the process of this company developing horrible and manipulative behaviors towards their customers. I am retired and on a fixed income and have already paid about $50,000 towards this timeshare. I cannot handle the financial burden from this and just need it to end. Please, respond to my letter Westgate, I look forward to hearing from you and being released from my contract. To everyone else reading this, consider it a warning and stay away from Westgate.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Mr. ***** and Ms. *****,
Please
allow us to clarify that Westgate does not conduct a credit check as a
requirement for purchasing. While Westgate does report to credit as this is a

TO: Westgate, I sent a letter to you dated 07/28/23 and we have gotten no response to it. We
saw it was delivered, yet it seems like no one has given it the time of day. So here is a summary of the things we were lied to about to warn everyone else as it appears Westgate doesn't care about ripping people off. Our loan was higher than we were told, our heirs are forced to inherit this timeshare and all of its negative aspects we were never told about, the rescission period was left out of the closing meeting, we could generate rental income, and that their resorts are exclusive to their owners. If we had not been rushed into purchasing this timeshare or through the signing process we would have had time to go over the contract. It was so rushed and we were told the price we were given would only be available that day, but the price we were given was not the one we signed for. If you want to understand what high pressure sales tactics look like, just sign up for a presentation and clear your schedule. The 90 minutes they said the presentation would last turned into 8 grueling hours.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

I can't even begin to express how deeply disappointed and frustrated we are with the entire experience involving Westgate Resorts. From the very start, we were taken advantage of and manipulated into signing a timeshare contract against their better judgment.
The fact that the salespeople relentlessly pressured us into committing to something we repeatedly stated they couldn't afford is outrageous. Instead of listening to our genuine concerns, the staff seemed only interested in closing the deal, even if it meant using deceitful tactics. This blatant disregard for potential customers' financial well-being is utterly reprehensible.
What's worse is the false promises we were subjected to. The allure of rental income and the ability to sell back the timeshare at any time were used as bait, only to be exposed as outright lies. It's beyond frustrating to think that hardworking individuals were manipulated with these empty assurances.
The lack of transparency and omission of critical financial details during the contract review process is unethical and unfair. It's clear that the company deliberately withheld important information.
The constant pressure to upgrade our contract and the phone calls insisting on more expenses are simply infuriating. It's outrageous that a company would exploit their customers' trust in such a relentless manner.
My spouse and I both have served our country with dedication. We were seeking a simple vacation and ended up entangled in this web of deceit and financial burden. It is disgusting that Westgate has stooped so low to prey on our service men and women.
To anyone reading this review, steer clear of this company and their timeshare traps at all costs. It's an unfortunate reminder of how easily vulnerable individuals can fall victim to manipulation and false promises.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. ******
We
appreciate your patience while we reviewed your correspondence. Please find our
response below.
Mr. and Mrs. ******, it is our
most sincere regret to read that you no longer wish to be the owners of a
timeshare with Westgate Resorts. While we appreciate your concerns, please be
advised that our review of the most recent phone call that you had with our
sales team does not support your claims of wrongdoing. Please be advised that
our review of that phone call indicates that you inquired about utilizing your
timeshare with Westgate and that you were advised that you are able to utilize
your timeshare every year. Please also be advised that our review of that call
indicates that you mentioned your satisfaction with your timeshare ownership
and how much you and your family enjoy staying at the resorts. Our review of
that call also indicates that you mentioned how much you enjoyed the atmosphere
at Westgate and that you inquired about potential job opportunities once you
retire.
It is important to understand
that our review of that call indicates that the only complaint that was brought
up was by Mrs. ****** stating her concerns about the availability of booking
dates and that she was advised that all reservations are based on availability.
As such, please be advised that our research has concluded that none of the
concerns that you have raised in your correspondence were raised during your
most recent phone call with our sales team and that you were satisfied with
your timeshare ownership and looking to upgrade your ownership to allow
yourself more time to travel with your family.
Please also allow us to explain
that the upgrade that you purchased allows you to utilize your timeshare every
year during the New Year event week. Please be mindful that you are able to
exchange your contracted week either for another week encompassed within the All-Season or for another event week during your occupancy year by paying a $159
exchange fee when booking your reservation online.
While we appreciate your
concerns, our research has concluded that you were
given full and fair disclosure of the purchase terms and conditions during the phone
call that you had with our sales team and via the documents that you received,
signed, and executed by U.S. mail. As consumers, it was your responsibility to
review the terms of the purchase to ensure they fit within your financial means
and travel needs. For Westgate’s and your protection, the contract documents
signed and initialed by the parties are considered expressions of our mutual
understanding of the purchase transaction. Please know that Westgate too is
bound to comply with the terms of the executed contract documents, which
constitute the only verifiable evidence to establish the terms of your
ownership. If you have any documentation that would support your claims of
wrongdoing, we encourage you to submit this to the email address furnished at
the bottom of this letter so that we may review it and perform further research
into your concerns. In the absence of such documentation, please be advised
that your contract remains valid, enforceable, and it will not be cancelled.
As
always, we remain here to help you. We encourage you to contact our HOA
Outreach Team at 1-800-216-7103 for further assistance with your
account. While
they do not provide contract cancellation services, they are committed to
helping you. They will explore options that may be available to you to assist
you with bringing your account current with your financial difficulties in
mind. Thank
you for the opportunity to be of service.

FRAUDULENT
This company took advantage of my tangential relation to healthcare to "offer" me a predatory deal on timeshares, refusing to allow me to contact my financial advisor before making a commitment. Their "reward" for my time was stealing a $50 deposit that I made for a vacation booking that they never informed me of (they told me specifically that I would receive someone in the mail, and never sent me anything by mail). This was all under the pretense of "giving me a free lunch and a tour of the hotel" while I was staying in Vegas. Don't make the same mistake I did.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Mr. *******,
We
thank you for your patience while we reviewed and researched your concerns. Our
response follows below.
Mr.
*******, we believe you may be referencing the tour you attended in August of
2022. Please know that our records show you did not qualify; however, as a
courtesy, you were accepted to tour and gifted accordingly. The gifts received
amounted to $150 in restaurant credits and a Vacation of a Lifetime
Certificate.
Please
be advised that all terms and conditions for usage were clearly disclosed on
the document itself, including the deposit requirement. Nonetheless, this
certificate is offered and fulfilled by a different, independent third-party
entity. As such, all concerns need to be directed to them. While the presented
sales allegations are entirely verbal and unsubstantiated, our records indicate
that no purchase was made.
Ultimately,
we would like to thank you for your feedback as we always are looking for
opportunities to improve our provided services. Our
hope remains that you will remember Westgate Resorts for your future vacation
needs or if you consider vacation ownership in the future.

Our last encounter with Westgate was a terrible experience. We originally took the 3 day offer to come and tour the property in 2022. We took the tour and eventually were pressured into buying at the cost of 18,000.00 at that time. We had thought we had purchased full ownership of a 3 bedroom lockout unit and thought we could use it anytime that year. After we had completed the process we went home and started to realize that we could not utilize the timeshare or Interval international trade in until we had paid out HOA dues in full which is another 2200.00/year. Later in the year around October we received an invitation for a owners orientation which we scheduled for January 2023. We setup our orientation meeting time and met with a new sales person at that time to discuss how to use. As we were sitting in the sales area he could not figure out why we could not utilize, trade, or rent and was going to look into why that was happening. He then returned with a sales manager who spoke little english to tell us we only owned a share of the unit and could not really do anything with it. Eventually they pressured use into purchasing the remaining share of the property at $30,000.00. We sat through closing without anyone telling us key details about when we could utilize. After further investigation I found out we could not use it for the 2023 calendar year that our utilization started in 2024 and they had rolled the principle paid into the new agreement our past purchase from the year before eliminating our chances to use as well as our HOA payment for the 2022 year. We now have to pay our 2023 HOA $ 2200.00 dues in December and will give us utilization access for 2024. At this point my wife and I feel we have been taken for a ride with Westgate, They are a very shady company.Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Ken at Westgate is a lying scoundrel! He told us we could expect to make $3,000 A WEEK by renting out our timeshare through AirBnB. News flash, that is not true!! Kens endless lies have cost us tens of thousands of dollars, and a lifetime of unwanted stress. Ken also told us we’d have DISCOUNTED ACCESS TO DISNEY! Their parks, resorts, AND CRUISES! More lies spun in his web to entrap us in a contract they never told was in perpetuity.
To make matters worse, we sent a complaint letter to the CEO of Westgate and to no surprise, there has been no response and it’s been a month!
Do not get sucked into one of their presentations, let alone stay at one of their resorts. You will regret it for the rest of your life!Central Florida Investments, Inc.

Dear Mr. ******,
Thank
you for your patience while we reviewed your correspondence. We apologize for any
delay in our response, and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please
be advised that a thorough review of your account was completed on multiple
levels to ensure that the conclusion reached is as accurate as possible. For
your convenience, we will be sending you a separate correspondence via email
containing an additional copy of the signed contract document mentioned herein.
You may find our response below.
Mr. ******, with regard to
your concerns about renting your timeshare, please be advised that Westgate
requires all owners to complete the Acknowledgment of Representations to
eliminate the possibility of any misunderstandings concerning what may have been
presented to you, which may have influenced your decision to purchase. Please
be advised that your signatures and initials on this document indicate that you
purchased this property for personal use, that there were no representations
made regarding investment or resale potential, and that Westgate does not have
a rental or resale program to assist you. Please also be advised that our
review of the recorded closing does not indicate that you mentioned your
concerns about renting your timeshare or incomplete documents during the
closing process.
As for your concerns about
having access to discounted tickets to Disney, please know that you can
purchase Disney tickets and book accommodations at a discounted rate through Westgate
Cruise and Travel Collection (WGCTC) with an active membership,
based on availability. Please keep in mind that any travel through WGCTC is
based upon their terms and conditions as they are a third-party entity, and
Westgate does not govern or control their inventory. Should you have questions
about their services or specials currently being offered, you may contact WGCTC directly at 1-800-572-6169.
While we appreciate your
concerns, it is important to understand that, when purchasing an interest in
deeded real estate property, you assumed certain responsibilities under the
contractual documents that you signed and executed; therefore, you will remain
responsible for financial and contractual obligations associated with the
timeshare unless there is a change in title. Please know that you can rent,
sell, will, or transfer any rights of ownership; however, this would be at your
discretion as Westgate does not assist with this process. Please be advised
that both parties are legally required to honor the terms of the agreement, and
as such, your contract is valid, enforceable, and it will not be cancelled in
the absence of documentation that would either support your claims or negate
your signatures on the executed contract documents.
While
we are appreciative of your concerns, we remain here to help you. We encourage
you to contact our Account Services Team at 1-888-999-0101 for further assistance with your account. While they do not provide contract cancellation services,

Our encounter with Westgate Resorts was an absolute nightmare! The timeshare presentation at their Orlando, FL location, conducted by Oriana ******, turned into a 4-hour ordeal of high-pressure sales, misinformation, and even physical detainment by their employees.
Ms. ****** collected personal information, then made an offer that was beyond our means. When we declined, she bombarded us with four more offers, each accompanied by false promises of affordable stays at Westgate properties, including Disney resorts at $499.00 per week. We felt cornered and reluctantly accepted the fifth offer.
The contract was filled with discrepancies and misrepresentations. They tried to trick us into signing up for a reference program, charging an extra $500 and violating our privacy. The promised capped pricing for "getaways" was a lie, applying only to select locations within their app.
During the rushed contract closing, they brushed aside our questions and failed to disclose vital documents, infringing on our consumer rights.
They imposed a 6-8 week processing period, rendering our 10-day cancellation window null and void, as mandated by Florida law. Booking accommodations afterward was a nightmare, with limited availability and inflated prices through Interval International.
Westgate Resorts uses deceitful tactics to trap unsuspecting victims. We demand immediate contract termination and a full refund! Avoid Westgate Resorts at all costs, and we'll pursue legal action if they fail to address our distressing experience and refund our hard-earned money!Central Florida Investments, Inc.

BE WARNED!! - Westgate tactics had reached a new "All Time Low". Especiially, if you take a time share tour in Orlando, Florida at (Westgate Lakes- location: ***** ****** **** ****). My wife & I was scheduled for a 'time share tour' by phone, promising that if we attend a 90 minutes tour & under no obligation to accept a time share at the end of the presentation, that we will receive a $200.00 Disney World Gift Card. We had given all the qualifying information by phone & at the 'site itself' when we arrived to our 11am appointment on (Aug 5, 2023). We were given a terrible host by the name of: Bashi., whom at the very beginning of the presentation gave up rude hints that he can disqualify us at his 'whim' if we were not going to take a time share. He was extremely arrogant & insulting when he realize we were no longer interested of getting a time share, when the presentation concluded, inwhich was an 1hr/45min. He said, we were disqualifed for the Gift Card because he'd claimed 'We were not participating!'. I had request the manager; Mr. Alex *******, whom I had made a complaint to, but was to no advail. (PLEASE note: A few employess 'there' had hinted to us (befor we had the host) that alot of people had been leaving the presentation there - Angry? My experience with Westgate has been an absolute disaster that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment their representatives approached me on the Las Vegas strip, I could sense trouble ahead. They were like sharks, relentlessly pursuing me with their deceitful offers. The promise of a cheap vacation and extra cash was tempting, but the price I paid was far too high. They urged me to be dishonest about my marital status to secure the offer, leaving me feeling exploited. I expected a simple tour, but instead, I found myself in a high-pressure sales pitch that was several hours long. The salesperson made grandiose promises of extravagant vacations, rental income, and tax write-offs while conveniently omitting information about interest rates and hidden fees. Despite expressing my inability to afford the steep upfront cost, they continued to pester me into making an immediate decision. To make matters worse, the free gifts they promised turned out to be nothing more than empty enticements - they were never delivered, and I was left feeling deceived and cheated. Even when I voiced my concerns about the negative reviews and hidden fees associated with their timeshares, the Westgate representative dismissively brushed them aside, displaying a lack of transparency and a sole focus on making a sale. Regrettably, under immense pressure, I succumbed and signed the contract, only to discover later that the maintenance fees and interest rates were astronomical, far beyond what was initially promised. None of the supposed benefits materialized, and the financial burden was overwhelming. I am now stuck, desperately wanting to terminate my contract and so far, these crooks are budging. I urge anyone considering a timeshare with Westgate to think twice and carefully weigh the consequences. Avoid falling into their trap and seek more reputable ways to plan vacations. Westgate is not an honest company. Stay away from anything having to do with them.Central Florida Investments, Inc.
