      I use Checkpeople.com to run check and when I found out the information was out dated and nothing new. I cancelled the same day. They went ahead took money from my account.

      On November 20, 2022, I contacted a company called DeleteMe that I have contracted services with to assist removing my name, number and address information from a website called checkpeople.com. This link: (********************************************************************************************************) has all of my personal information online without my consent and I want it to be removed. I was told that for you to assist in this matter, I must contact you directly to file this complaint, therefore I am doing so. I fear that anyone who has my number can get my address and other personal information which is detrimental to myself/my family's safety. I humbly request that you do all that you can to see to it that this business deletes my information. I thank you for your time towards this matter.

      I ordered a single check on a potential renter, it was offered as a free report. I find that they have been charging me $29/mo since June of 2022. I did not sign up for nor have a used this service since the 1 report I ordered. This is deceptive and misleading and I did not sign up for it.

      I signed up at checkpeople.com to do a background check on a family member. When I did, it cost $1.00 for a trial period of a month. then the charges after that were $29.15 every month. I found all the info I needed within the trial period so I cancelled. Well checking my bank statements this morning (Dec.5, 2022), I was still being charged for a service I cancelled on in March 2022. So from April 2022 to Dec. 2022, they kept charging me. I called them to discuss the charges. The woman said she could only refund me for December. Not acceptable, I had not used the service since the trial period and then I cancelled. I'm seeking refund also from April to Nov. 2022.

Being that there had been no cancellation within your trial dates, you were automatically enrolled in our membership plan, that being in the amount of $29.15.

      I signed up for 1 month and cancelled it but they kept charging me. When I noticed I emailed them. They replied that they canceled it but I trusted them and didn't notice until now. They took $22.56 out of my account for years but I just noticed. I should have paid better attention but they stole from me.

      My account was permanently disabled for supposedly violating the terms of agreement but they are unable to tell me what rule was violated and I was extremely careful to not violate any conditions. After contacting them I was told that they were unable to provide this information because they don't retain that information either so my account was permanently disabled and nobody can provide me with an explanation why because they themselves literally don't even know why. This is a scam and I expect to have my account reinstated promptly. Please help provide me with assistance or point me in the direction of where to go to resolve the issue on my own. Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to seeking a resolution to this issue.

      I have asked the company (via their web site) many times to remove my private information from their web site. I have also solicited DeleteMe for help in deleting my information from their web site. Both efforts have failed.

      I have very valid reasons to not want my personal information public, and this web site is at best completely irresponsible for not complying with my wish, and, I hesitate to say, at worst criminally negligent.

      I have contacted checkpeople several times to no avail to remove my personal information off their website and off google search - they do not have my consent to publish my personal information.

      I paid $4.99 for a 3 day trial on 11/16/2022, my account # is**********. I canceled the service within one hour, due to the fact that the service did not provide any information other than basic information that is free on the internet. They promised criminal background checks, etc and a google search was better than the information they provided. I checked my bank account on 11/18/22. I was charged $4.99 (which is a charge I was expecting) and there was additional charge of $6.99. I called the customer service number and was told that the additional $6.99 charge was for the ability to download PDF's. I did not download PDF's nor was I made aware that I would be charged an additional $6.99. The customer service agent stated that her hands were tied and that she was unable to return the $6.99 to my bank account. I am seeking a refund from this company, due to the fact that nowhere in my 3 day $4.99 trial was an additional charge of $6.99 mentioned
