Our first contact with Holiday Inn was when I received a call selling us a 3-night, 4-day stay for $199 in Orlando FL, **********, **, or *********, **. After some back-and-forth, we settled on ********* due to my recent shoulder surgery. Our reservation was from September 23-26,2024. However, the catch was that we had to endure a 6-hour timeshare presentation, despite being promised it would only last 2 hours. We were also asked for our IDs and credit card, which the sales agent, ****** Raudep, held onto, which made it impossible for us to leave. The enticing offers, the lengthy presentation and the pressure to decide dampened our enthusiasm. We wanted to leave at this point and asked for our IDs and credit card back. Instead of honoring our request he said he would check if they could offer us a better price. After some back and forth, we decided to go for a deal after being pressured. When we got back from vacation and I started reading the documents, I found out we had a 16.5% interest rate and some extra fees they never mentioned. They also charge for using the reservation system, and the points I bought aren't even enough for a two-week stay at the same hotel where the presentation took place. I was never told about the maintenance fee. They mentioned another fee of $458, but not as maintenance. There's also a $169 fee for being part of the club, which I was never told about. I wasn't informed that I could cancel the contract within a certain time frame. We were promised and what weve experienced are worlds apart. We were taken advantage of by the Holiday Inn employees, which we firmly believe is due to the fact that English is not our first language. This purchase is going to bury us and our kids in even more debt. My wife's diabetic, and now she's stressing so much about this that she's having to use more insulin. This purchase has turned into nothing but a bad dream.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

I've been an owner for 4 years now. Since getting this timeshare I have been trying to get out for many reasons. First, what we were promised did not happen. Second, my wife had cancer and my daughter has had multiple surgeries which as we all know comes with a high price tag. I have reached out to the company to cancel only to be transferred multiple times. I've never been late on payments and have paid over ****** dollars which is more than what the total cost is. All I was asking for is to relinquish this timeshare because I can't afford it, and I have a family to take care of. It amazes me that no one has a heart or respect anymore to help people with situations like this.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

SCAM!False information during timeshare tour. They withhold information about how the program works. They kept talking about the ability to use *** worldwide which is why my family purchased. We later found out every location they voluntarily showed us on the tour had mandatory all inclusive fees in the thousands of dollars. They told us during the tour it would be easy to leave the timeshare. That was false, it is near impossible. We were sold a lie and have no way to prove we were lied to. Be very careful. It's evident that this is a scam based on all the 1 star reviews. I am giving one star because there is no negative star option. 11-29-24.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

On February 13 we went to Orange Lake Land Trust in Orlando, ** for what we were told was a 45 minute presentation. At least 5 hrs later we were still at the 45 minute presentation. It seemed that they were going to keep us there until we broke. When we travel we tend to stay in Holiday Inn Express. We were contacted by *** and given a few free days in ********* at a Holiday Inn Express (a good hour away from the actual presentation). This hotel was noisy and very uncomfortable. Unhappy with these horrible accommodations. We declined multiple offers but the agents kept dropping the price. Also led to believe that we would have a person assigned to us that to assist us thru our 1st year booking vacations. Untrue. Were told we could get hotels for $69 total for 3-4 night stays. This is what got my attn since this would save us a lot. I asked our sales person about this a few times to make sure it was a fact but found out the hard way it was not true! I even have it in writing. On the odd occasion we actually got a person on the phone were transferred multiple times. We tried to book a hotel and found our membership room costs were significantly higher than booking our own hotels. We were led to believe the Holiday Inn Clubs were private/exclusive resorts. This is false. Anyone can book there owner or not.Led us to believe timeshare is an investment we could leave to our children in our *****. Were told its an investment in real estate that would gain equity and value but never told our kids would get stuck with it whether they want it or not.Called to find out the maintenance fees. Were told they didn't know but we'd receive a bill in Nov, payable in Jan. ***** told they would increase annually nor that the heirs would be responsible FOREVER.We purchased in Feb 2024 but did not receive the contract until late Aug 2024.WE HAVE FOUND OUR DEALINGS WITH THIS COMPANY NOT ONLY DISHONEST BUT CONFUSING AND FRUSTRATING. We don't need this headache at our age!Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Still have been contacted by this Business. As a owner we are forgotten because there is 4 people on deed. They give you points every year and they tell you can transfer them but then they say it's going to cost more money to do that.. Just a big money racket for this company.Review fromCassandra W

We are fed up with Holiday Inns, formerly known as Silverleaf, predatory sales tactics. Our relationship with this devious company began when we were entering a festival and were approached by an agent for ********** offering us free tickets to a water park at ***********. We soon learned that the tickets were not free and that it was a ploy to get us to attend a timeshare sales meeting at The Villages in *****, *****. When we arrived, we quickly learned that this wasnt the location of the *********************, but rather the address for a Silverleaf property. We were then told that to receive the waterpark tickets we would need to sit through a sales presentation. Not at all what the agent represented when we agreed to the free tickets. The primary salesman we dealt with made ownership with Silverleaf sound like a dream, emphasizing that it was a sound investment and that it would benefit our family in the form of savings for future vacations. Everything that the salesperson told us sounded good, but we declined his offer. Instead of letting us leave though we were held for several hours and told that we needed to listen to everything to procure the tickets and receive our IDs back from the check-in desk. By the end of the day, we were so exhausted and hungry that we begrudgingly agreed to purchase a timeshare. We had asked for some time to think the offer over but were told that this would not be possible. The pressure was intense! Perhaps the most insidious claim though was being told we could sell back the timeshare to Silverleaf if we were dissatisfied with it. This gave us a false sense of security and forced us to lower our guard. It is unfathomable that none of these sales or contract employees would alert us of this crucial detail. In addition to those claims we were never told about our rescission period, which we certainly would have exercised shortly upon returning home. We have been utterly ripped off.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Don't do it! I tried to book a vacation at one of the options I was given two months in advance, and never heard anything. The day before the time I asked to make the reservation, I received a email that said here is booking confirmation. Then was charged for the booking. This is a scam, I asked for a refund and was told no it was part of the agreement.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated
