      I called to modify a reservation for Holiday Inn Express & Suites that I had previously made and because I was a IHG member, I was transferred to Holiday Inn Club Vacations. From there I received an offer for a 4 day 3 night package that was only available to members. However at no point did the salesperson say that the promotion was for the purpose of soliciting the sale of timeshare interests (I only found out after I had paid in the receipt email). The salesperson also failed to mention that I was required to attend a two hour presentation regarding the sale of a time share interest. I was at no point interested in a time share, and if I was properly informed, I would have never accepted the offer. Given how I was mislead, I immediately called Holiday Inn Club Vacations to receive a refund for the promotion I was given. I was transferred to the marketing department, and was told to email guestrelations to explain how I was mislead. I sent an email to the provided address, and received an automatic email back saying that it would take 7-10 days to review my email. On Feb 27, 2023 I received a response email stating “ As was indicated at the time of purchase and confirmed to you in writing, your vacation package is non-refundable. Therefore your request for a refund has not been honored.” I am very disappointed that Holiday Inn Express & Suites mislead me into taking this offer. I am not interested in a timeshare, and would have never expected to be mislead in such a way from a company that I have reserved from in the past. Immediately upon receiving the email saying that the transaction was a timeshare solicitation I contacted Holiday Inn Club Vacations and communicated my concerns as they requested. I would like a full refund as a resolution as soon as possible.

      We stayed at Holiday Inn Club Vacations in July as part of a package. We paid $279, got that amount back in return, then paid an extra $300 to upgrade our stay and $92.56 in taxes. Upon our arrival we saw that the place we were given had chipped glasses, lockbox did not work (they eventually fixed), deck and furniture was dirty, furniture worn, washing machine leaked all over the floor several times despite "fixing" it, the dryer did not dry our cloths and the kicker - there were spots of blood on our sheets (which they changed). It was disgusting. We did notify the reception desk of all of this and they offered nothing. At the end of our stay we were required to go on a tour and when they tried to sell us a place we relayed all of the above information. Their only offer was another week with a huge price tag. So this was the worst place we've ever stayed and now you want us to stay again and pay for it??
      I then called several times with no resolution. I made a final call to IHG on 12/1/22 and they said we would hear by phone or email within 48 hours. Nothing. I am now calling back and they are telling me our request to be refunded has been denied. I'm furious. This wasn't just dirty, there were BLOOD spots on our sheets! Also leaking washer all over the floor and dryer didn't work in addition to the DIRT and you aren't refunding our money? VERY upsetting and you can bet we will never stay with your establishment again. A simple refund would have solved this issue, I can't even imagine why anyone would purchase one of these places with the filth we experienced let alone the absence of any customer service!!

      I have been a loyal customer to Holiday Inn for nearly 10 years, and unfortunately I have become disappointed in the company they have become. They lied to my face. Told me things like converting my units to Holiday Inn from Orange Lakes would increase the value of my “investment”, give me better access to locations, weeks, and units, higher rental income, etc. These were all lies because nothing about this is an investment and I have little to no access to anything because there is no availability. In 2019, they decided to raise my maintenance fees $4,000. All I wanted was a sampler package yet the staff lied to me and manipulated me into purchasing something else. I now want nothing to do with them.

      Fee's and Fee's and Fee's. Me and my husband unfortunately fell into the trap of this awful company. We tried to transfer our points to my account so we wouldn't lose them. And guess what FEE'S. Not only just the fee but it was over 300.00 just to transfer we could have stayed elsewhere that money. Fees for maintenance. And now we just got a loan to pay it off. And guess what FEE'S to cancel AFTER PAYING THE ENTIRE AMOUNT!!! OFF. And in addition to all this we were told we would get 100,000 points we've only gotten 50,000. So don't fall into the trap. No matter what you are being told say no thanks.

      This company scams people plain and simple. Do not believe anything they say.
      I was making a hotel reservation and was offered a "limited time offer" deal to put a payment and reserve a vacation packet. I talked thoroughly to the employee and made sure to ask if the package was refundable. I was told multiple times "It is refundable". I went ahead and paid the fee to make my reservation.
      When I called 4 months later to ask for a refund I was told it was not refundable. The employee on the phone had lied to me. Then I started calling support and was told to "submit a request for the phone call transcript", which I did. Unsuprisingly, nothing ever came of it. They have my money and I have given up hope of ever getting it back. This business is a crook's dream. They call me every once in a while to ask if I want to book my stay. I don't, I just want a refund and some honesty.

      Holiday Inn Vacation Club is full of self-centered individuals, who make the choice to lie about the product they are selling. Our decision to enter a contract with this company was greatly impacted by several VERBAL STATEMENTS made by their employees regarding most specifically that “Holiday Inn had a buyback program”. Knowing that we had the potential to sell back the timeshare to Holiday Inn gave us a false sense of security and hastened our decision to buy. Although there were several key financial details that were not adequately explained to us during our meeting; we reached the conclusion that we cannot afford this any longer. When we made the decision, we were a dual income household, but that is no longer the case. Tragically, my wife has been diagnosed with MS and I no longer able to work and contribute financially. We reached out to the CEO directly asking for relief, knowing that any money already spent would be lost. We simply asked that they make this easy for all parties involved and terminate this contract. To date, we have received no response to our letter, just collection calls.

      Dealing with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been one of the most challenging and disappointing experiences since being an owner at South Beach in South Carolina and Orange Lakes in Florida.
      When we first bought at South Beach we were guaranteed availability when we wanted to use the unit how ever that guarantee which was not in writing has never been fore filled. Secondly, my wife and I bought into what we thought was an upgrade while at Orange Lakes in Florida only to discover that we spent $ 11,000 for an upgrade that never existed and when I reached out to the salesperson I never received a callback. However we did receive a call back from sales offering to sell us an upgrade for an additional $4,000 which we refused .(fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me) Additionally Ive asked that fees for both sites be combined so that I would receive one bill. I was assured in 2021 that this would happen but since then we continue to receive two bills that I've paid . However as of this year after paying the fees which were posted on my bank account on 1/4/2023. I receive notice from HICV that I still owed the fees and when I went online to try to clear the matter up my account was locked and suspended. Now I'll have to spend untold time trying to clear the matter up. (Future Buyers Be Cautioned).
      Needless to say buying at HICV has not been worth the aggregation. I've since moved on to using other vacation sites

      AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
      It's a black hole for your money. The price up front is just the beginning. The interest rate is THROUGH THE ROOF. If I hadn't started throwing money at it when I did, the end cost probably would have been double the initial price.
      And all for the promise of points to go on vacations... The points you get aren't even worth the yearly cost of fees. They don't tell you any of this up front. It's just shy of a scam. My fees this year were nearly $700 and my points are worth about 2 nights, tops. Again, that's after thousands of dollars to get to this point.

      We purchased the Travel Club last year. What a joke. We were told we could use RCI for vacations and we have looked at so many options and different dates and no availability. They are sure good at telling you and showing you what is good while you are there but in realality they are terrible and nothing is available. They charge so many extra fees and you can never get a hold of people to help you. If you are looking at this run fast and don't do it. I know many may be happy but we were very upfront with what we wanted and they assured us that it would work. I sure wish I could cancel this and just lose a little money instead of what we paid and won't be using. I never thought this company would scam you like they do. Yes, i know they make money off of selling and high pitch but this is so unbelievable with them it's not funny. Use to always stay at their hotels but will not anymore.

      Run! Total scam money grab. They make promises that they never deliver in and pester you to buy more points in every vacation. Save your money and plan out your vacation on your terms. I would have saved so much doing this. I can't express this enough. Total scam.
