      What an absolute scam of an organization. Got talked into a timeshare presentation, in exchange for a reduced rate for a stay in Orlando. Upon arrival to the presentation, was told that my wife was also required to attend, which was never discussed, when signing up for the package. So, to make a long story short, not only was I then charged full retail for the stay on the property, but fined $300 because my wife did not attend the presentation. Granted, it's only about $700 (between the two "surprise" charges) so definitely not life altering. But it's certainly enough of an annoyance to cut ties with the dishonest organization. If only one person reads this, and avoids the scam, then the review is worthwhile. I am a "diamond elite" IHG member, and have been for 20+ years. Will now switch over to Hyatt or Hilton, depending on which chain has the best perks. Good job, Holiday inn. You just lost a $12,000 a year customer and IHG credit card holder.

      Holiday inn vacation club lies to you to get you to sign up for their absolutely ridiculous vacation club. They tell you it is not a timeshare. They tell you that you can book a vacation anytime...bs...I have 100s of screenshots proving that nothing is ever available! I was told I can get a week vacation a year with my 30k points for a 1 bedroom. Never anything for 30k and have to use following years points. Do I look stupid spending over 5 k for a 1 week vacation? You lied to us, it is proven and now they will pay back everything I invested. See you in court soon! Oh make sure my recoding at time of signing is available because I'm a lot smarter than you think holiday inn. I actually made sure to say. " If this is not a timeshare like you state then we do not have an issue.

      Thank you for the reply. I have called numerous times to get answers on why I was lied to and no one would ever give me an explanation. All I was told is yes this is a timeshare, so I don't know why I was told it was not I am looking forward to hearing from someone. Thank you

      No stars , the pull out bed was full of food and a bug! Old blood , dirty tissue! The door had a big issue I was locked out of the room three times with security and maintenance coming to fix it !! I couldn't leave minors in the room so they could fix the door so I couldn't make the marketing meeting the marketing department charged me an additional $300! I couldn't enjoy one day because I spent me time trying to resolve issues! My parents are top tier owners at this resort and we still had issues!! I have tried to reach marketing six times ! No call back !! They tested bed for bed bugs they said negative but I don't believe it after seeing bugs and taking photos!!! They said they had no available times to sit in marketing meeting , if one became available I would be contacted, then the next sent a email stating to attend a meeting a day late!! I can't win with this resort!

      I did contact the front desk several times ! I spoke to someone i marketing that was supposed to follow back up with me and never did ! It's in marketing hands and still no response! It shows how many times I called I also have photos of bed !

      When we were visiting Florida, we became victims of a timeshare scam. I hope this serves as a warning to everyone reading this. Holiday Inn Club Vacations is a scam, and they are taking advantage of innocent people to buy their timeshares by promising cheap vacations, travel savings, even ways to generate income! It's rubbish! Even when they upgrade, the timeshares are not worth the ridiculous price you end up paying. In the sales talk, they are extremely pushy and last a very long time. When you are exhausted and tired, they start with the lies and high pressure for you to buy! They sold us the timeshare as an "investment" like actual real estate. They made it seem like what they were offering us, was only available at that time, and pretty much forced us into a hasty decision under false promises. They did not clearly explain all the costs associated with the property. Very deceitful and cunning. Worst of all, you don't need to be an "owner" to reserve a timeshare, you can stay in their resorts without being an "owner". Stay away from Holiday Inn Club Vacations, they are nothing but a scam. I hope the authorities investigate what they are doing when they sell this crap to people. They don't deserve a single star! Give me my money back!!!

      Very disappointing - they won't own up to their mistakes. I starting processing a deedback with them this summer and they initially sent me a letter with the wrong owner name. It took them at least two months to fix the issue. Finally, they sent me the deed to sign with the correct names in August. We signed right away and sent it in on 8/31/2022. I just got my property tax bill dated 11/9/2022 and due 1/1/2023, so I called the deedback customer service number to investigate the status of the deedback and found that they sent the documents to the title company on 11/18/2022 and that it would take up to 8 weeks to record at the county. The rep said that the delay issue was documented, but they would not acknowledge that their mistake potentially caused me to have to pay the property tax bill - the agent really just wanted to get me off the phone. I insisted on talking to a manager, they said the manager and the manager's manager were both in training. They transferred me to the billing department, and after starting my story over, that rep started talking over me saying that was the "deed" department's problem. I tried to get her attention and she hung up on me. I called the service resolution manager number. They were pleasant to talk to and looked into the issue. They acknowledged the issue but gave me little assurance that they would take responsibility for their error. Bottom line is had they processed the deedback properly the first time, the title would have been deeded back prior to the tax due date with plenty of time to spare. I hope this is just mass incompetence and not outright fraud.

      High pressure to BUY TODAY! if one salesperson wasn't enough they then bring a manager, since he wasn't able to " close" the deal they brought their finance guy. Each person had a better offer " it's NEVER been done before " but they will make a one time exception for me - right!!! Stick to your guns if you are not interested WALK AWAY do NOT go down the rabbit hole!'

      I purchased my timeshare (The Ridge Tahoe) back in 1998 it was with a different company, but Holiday Inn Club Vacations purchased the property a few years ago. The property has really gone down hill in terms of quality. Holiday Inn Club Vacations haven't made any noticeable improvements and instead has raised my maintenance fees year over year. With my timeshare paid off, I decided to surrender it back to Holiday Inn in April of this year for $500. Title was submitted in May and has been in a state of "being processed" for 6 months. I have an extensive phone log with conversations I have had with various folks working in the Horizons department - Juan May 19th, Jasimine July 22nd (the first time I should have been able to confirm the time share was canceled. Christina Sept 2, Brian Sept 23, Jhari Nov 1st, and finally Sarah today Nov 16th. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GROUP. BUYER BEWARE!

      I would put 0 stars if it was possible. My husaband and I have paid off our timeshare many years ago, and were looking to use the Horizons program to exit the contract. We started this process in February 2022 and it is now November 2022 (mind you we paid all fees associated with exiting immediately). When checking on the status of our timeshare we are never able to speak to the same representative (high turn over?) and we have received conflicting statuses such as "your documents have went to title" or "your document is missing a notary stamp", "the notary stamp isn't raised" and many other excuses such as "the document we sent was missing this line" or "the document we sent you was missing these numbers". We live in a state where raised seals are not required so ALL notaries we have access to do not carry a raised stamp. I feel gaslighted by this company when I'm told my document has not been notarized. My husband and I take off work to meet each other during work hours to notarize our documents with a Notary Public, and we have done this on at least 3 occassions. The representatives are snarky and are anything but transparent about our account and it is a common thing for the call to somehow "disconnect" and we don't receive call backs either. We are now slated to pay another year's worth of maintenance fees when all of the setbacks of this process have been on Horizon (sending us the wong tempates on multiple occasions). Initially I thought going through Horizons by Holiday Inn Club would be the best way to exit the timeshare, now its clear that I should've lawyered up instead.

      Holiday Inn Vacation Club's despicable behavior has left us speechless. One would think that turning down a $400.00 per month obligation would not land us with an even bigger bill, but it has. When we turned down the first offer, they asked us what we could afford. That led to HIVC to offer us a small package that required a 1.4k down payment - to which we again declined. So, again, they continued with very, very irresponsible practices that just must be illegal.

      They simply omitted telling us about the credit card they opened with a 29.99% interest rate without telling us, just to get the down payment:
      forever rising maintenance costs
      total interest amounts (truth in lending)
      legal rights related to a recession
      Overall, we were greatly misled regarding this purchase. If ANY of the financial details were shared with us, or even highlighted during the contract signing, we wouldn't have made this awful decision. We requested time to think about making this purchase but were told that the deal would only last for a short period of time. They are simply high-pressure salesman who could not care less about lying to John *********

      I was pressured in to buying a 4 day vacation after I said we only take time from jobs and farming to ski, i was assured there were many suitable resorts at ski areas. Not true. I was told i could extend the offer, but i was not told i could only extend once. So i blew 200 bucks in a vacation i cant use. The good thing is i avoided a hard sell session in their time share project, and saved that money.
