Im writing to expose the deceptive sales tactics perpetrated by the Holiday Inn Club Vacations. The actions of their sales team have been nothing short of appalling. We were initially contacted with an offer for a $200, three-day ********* trip. The condition was that we travel from our home in ******** to ********* to attend a sales presentation about becoming members of the Holiday ********* They promised incredible membership experience with access to destinations worldwide, which caught our attention, especially since we travel to ***** annually. We thought, "Why not?"We were told that as members, we would receive points to spend on vacation packages, allowing us to stay at five-star hotels and resorts with minimal out-of-pocket expenses. These points would give us access to exclusive member benefits, such as room upgrades. Since we enjoy traveling, we decided to give it a tryafter all, what did we have to lose? To be clear, the ONLY reason we moved forward was because of the frequently repeated lies about benefits, and the assurance that we could cancel at any time without penalty. They assured us repeatedly that if we signed up that day, we could start enjoying these benefits immediately. Wed have access to special, members-only destinations. And if we later decided the program wasnt for us, theyd cancel our membership and buy back any unused points. But we had to sign "right now." So, we did.HOWEVER, now we find that this timeshare was oursapparently, forever. This is unacceptable on multiple levels, and we will not rest until they have eliminated this burden from our lives. We want out of this miserable one-sided contract immediately! We are not asking for our money back, they can keep that, we just want out. So far, we have paid nearly $8,000 for 0 VACATIONS!Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Holiday Inn is not trustworthy or honest! They lied to me and my late husband about the timeshare and how flexible it was supposed to be and that we were purchasing a piece of real estate property. No flexibility let alone availability. It is not an investment nor is it real estate. All they accomplished was signing us up for debt that lasts forever. Their sales people lie and tell you anything you need to hear to make a sale and make money off you. My husband passed away in 2017 and it took 6 years of contacting them to finally have his name taken off the account. It took me SIX YEARS of hounding them for a basic administrative update. I am going on 8 years of trying to get out of it. Apparently Holiday Inn does not see the need to respond at all at this point and they dont care about actually taking care of their owners who have paid them thousands of dollars.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

I have been an owner (**********) since the 80's when all of this timeshare began, with one of the original units. I then purchased a second one after Holiday Inn purchased. Never missed a payment. Stayed the many many times through the years. Now, we have a reservation for tomorrow (Tuesday). My husband just received a call that his heart surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. I understand the 48 hour window, however, we did not want to cancel the reservation, just reschedule it. I was told a BIG FAT - NO! I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Holiday INN Vacation Resorts. It is a big scam. My eyes have been opened after 40 years!Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

We are so disappointed with the Holiday ***************** and have reached out to the CEO for assistance. At the time of our enrollment, we were led to believe we were signing a three-year membership agreement, as explicitly stated and pointed out by **** employees I/We understand that the term of this Agreement is for three (3) years from the date the Effective Date set forth below. We never heard anything about this agreement being a lifetime commitment that would pass down to our heirs. Neither of our children is interested in inheriting the timeshare, and we were not made aware of the significant long-term financial implications associated with the timeshare. If that information had been disclosed, we would not have entered into this agreement. There were several pages of the contract where we were told that it was just boilerplate language, and we were hurried along telling us just to initial or sign and move on. We later discovered many of these pages included financial information or fees that we were not told about and were very material to our decision to *********** early 2024, major health issues arose that rendered vacations impossible for us both. We are both in our late 70s now. We ended up moving into an assisted senior living community in ******** and called Holiday Inn to explain the situation and our need to terminate our membership due to our physical inability to use the resorts. We were told this would not be possible under any circumstances and that our heirs would be held responsible for continuing the payments after our deaths. We are in our late 70s and that should have been the first thing discussed at the initial presentation instead of presenting the timeshare as a three-year membership and later a five-year membership during the second *************** is, frankly, unethical and disgusting behavior.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

As a 20-year retired veteran of the ********************** I feel I deserve better treatment than Holiday ***************** has afforded me. This started when I entered into a promotional drawing. Shortly after, I received a call that I had won a three-night/four-day vacation at one of many resorts, though I was not told this was related to Holiday Inn Club Vacations. To receive the vacation, all I had to do was pay $199 and attend a 60-minute briefing. I had 18 months to schedule the vacation, and I eventually chose the ***********************************. Upon arrival I found that I was responsible for additional costs that were never disclosed. Either way, I met my obligation to attend what turned out to be a hard cord sale presentation as opposed to a briefing. Due to the massive misrepresentation of what they were selling, I succumbed to the pressure and made the purchase of their product. Since, I have been disappointed by several issues I have encountered since entering into the *********** this point, I am extremely dissatisfied with the repeated misinformation, the unfulfilled promises, and the ongoing difficulty in using my timeshare. I also have serious concerns about the way the property is being handled, particularly regarding my deeded week and the booking process, which seems to prioritize those who attend additional sales presentations over the deed owner. AND the maintenance costs were significantly higher than I was told they would be. I have written the President of the company, however as of today the only communications I am receiving is about a bill that I have no intention of paying without a resolution to my documented complaints.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

My experience with Holiday inn Club Vacations timeshare has been disappointing. It began with a promotional $199 vacation package that led to a high-pressure sales presentation lasting nearly 4 hoursfar beyond the promised 120 minutes. The salespeople convinced us to purchase by highlighting benefits for our family's frequent travel for basketball tournaments. Reality has fallen drastically short of promises. Despite paying $319.96 monthly since February 2024 on an $18,750.43 mortgage at *****% interest (plus $2,084 in credit card debt for the down payment), we've only managed to use the timeshare once in 12 months. The supposed hotel discounts are more expensive than booking through third-party sitesoften $50 more per night for the same rooms. Our ******* points proved insufficient for our needs, contrary to what was presented during the sales pitch. The promised international vacation options and cruise discounts turned out to be no better than standard rates. Availability has been extremely limited, forcing us to work around the resort's schedule rather than our own. Adding to our frustration, we've been plagued by scam calls from people claiming to be **** representatives, attempting to exploit our membership. When we reported this to ****, they offered no assistance. For anyone considering an HICV timeshare, I strongly advise against it. The high costs, limited availability, and misleading sales tactics make this investment far more burden than benefit. What was presented as an elite, cost-saving travel solution has become a financial strain with minimal practical value.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Buying into Holiday Inn's timeshare membership was a horrible mistake. Their salespeople pressured us to upgrade three times since the initial purchase, each time with the lie that the upgrade would fix all our problems. But no matter how many points we bought, we never had enough to book a vacation where we wanted to go. We started with ****** points, and now we own *******. If a more than six-fold increase hasnt improved booking options and availability, then the only conclusion to draw is that this is a scam. Holiday Inn has taken many thousands of dollars from us, and all we have received in our years as owners is a single vacation, not even at the location we wanted to go. If they had a shred of integrity, they would cancel our membership and give us our money back.Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

Signing up with Holiday Inn Club Vacations has been an incredible mistake. Do not sign up with them. They present you with what sounds like an amazing deal, get you to sign, and only allow a few days for you to change your mind. It took months to realize that we signed up for a scheme to take our money forever. Do not make our misHoliday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated

We have been with holiday inn club vacations since 1996. We do like it, but Im sick of every year we go away for 4-5 weeks. We stay in 3 different timeshares in that time ( from RCI - HICV), every time we check in we are always asked to come to a preview with them, we say NO but they go on about cheap tickets, all the changes etc. If you wanna ask us to go out of 7 days vacation to a meeting then give us an extra day, as we can never leave at 90 mins it goes on 3-4 hours. Thats a day WASTED of our family time. But my BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! Was going to the Royal Haceindas in ****** in November/24. My husband booked a room with a full kitchen we get there its a hotel room with a coffee maker, mini fridge. We told front desk and lady at desk wouldnt do anything for us. Were there for a week, now where do we cook our meals? as weve done this for all other vacations we asked for. all inclusive it was another $2,500.00 on top of that!!!! in Canadian funds, thats ridiculous!!!!!! I heard all the other resorts are the same in ******. And to top that we were bugged at the pool to come to a meeting, so we worked it out with the sales *** well get all- inclusive at a much cheaper price for rest of week just to go to a meeting. After the meeting they sold us 1 day all inclusive not the 4 days left. So 1 day all inclusive compared to 7 days!!! Whippy ****, big slap for us. I will never go back and if your a Canadian resident its totally a ripoff. ,STAY AWAY!!!!!Holiday Inn Club Vacations Incorporated
