      Some hotels have been nice- Kawaii, Boston, NY.C Pulse
      Some have been horrible- Shadow Ridge, Park City Utah
      Service on 800 number and
      for the Encore Package is poor
      Help at hotels range from excellent to dismal
      Sales presentations are so obviously hard sell
      All in All. not a great deal but does work for us- barely

      What a total rip off. We have been members of MVC for fifteen years. Fifteen years of shelling out money with nothing in return but another yearly maintenance fee we must pay. So far this year alone we have spent nearly $2,000 in fees and taxes. I tried today to book a one week in Jan. Feb. or March vacation anywhere I wouldn't need a passport. Nothing available for the next 2 years! I could stay in any average hotel for $2,000 a week without all this hassle.

      This company has created a total mess for me. It has negatively impacted my family in a real way. I am throwing away money every month making them rich instead of investing that money into my grandaughter’s college fund. I can’t even use my timeshare and I am still expected to pay for it. They told me I can go anywhere anytime, but this is a total lie. Had I known then what I know now, I would have NEVER trusted Marriott. They have agreed to cancel part of my ownership, but they aren’t cancelling the whole thing. I assume they want this hanging over my head so that can keep stealing from me. Disgusting.

      Typical vacation business once they have your money they don’t care about you. Anything goes wrong. I’m sorry friend is all you’re gonna get. stayed there three separate times over 2 years every time had major problems that were not my fault every single time. The only answer I got was I’m sorry, friend and some policy that explains why no refund can be given.

      I am reaching out today to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by this company. My family and I have invested over $17,000 in a timeshare contract that we have only been able to utilize twice. Despite this, their staff has informed us that we still owe more than $9,000. Not only have we faced this financial burden, but we have also experienced consistent disappointment due to Marriott's lack of communication and failure to fulfill the promises made when we initially entered into the timeshare agreement. We have been subjected to falsehoods and have been denied the vacations that were guaranteed to us. To make matters worse, Marriott continues to demand additional funds from us, even though we have offered to pay off the outstanding fees in order to be released from the contract. However, we have not received any assurances that this would result in our release. It is frustrating that they insist on keeping us trapped in this situation. We have yet to be presented with any viable solutions, which raises concerns about how we will recover our money from Marriott and hold them accountable. Our only desire is to have our contract cancelled and be allowed to move on from this nightmare that Marriott has created for us.

      I can see Mrs. **** has been an owner since 2008 and have stayed at many locations during her time with the program. Maintenance fees are invoiced in tandem with usage. At this juncture we must only reiterate that we will stand behind the clear disclosure statements that were provided within the sales contract that Mrs. **** signed on the date of his purchase.

      In 2022, my husband and I fell victim to the enticing promise of an "inexpensive" Marriott Owners Cruise. This seemingly promising getaway turned into a nightmarish ordeal filled with hidden traps and insurmountable challenges.

      The cruise offered a week-long trip to the Virgin Islands from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, with only port taxes and gratuities to pay, along with a balcony stateroom. Quickly upon boarding, we were bombarded with relentless sales pitches from Marriott representatives, feeling restricted and overwhelmed throughout the trip.

      At a "special" dinner for Marriott owners, we met Twila Ryan, an employee who convinced us that buying additional points would solve our resort options' limitations. We fell for this sales pitch, only to realize later that crucial information about increased maintenance fees and potential financial burdens on my children was withheld during the contract signing.

      Efforts to cancel the contract after the cruise were met with silence and resistance, leaving us trapped in a deal we deeply regretted. To make matters worse, life dealt a severe blow with my husband’s diagnosis of Stage 3 kidney failure, making travel impossible.

      I strongly advise caution when considering owning with Marriott, as their deceptive sales tactics and lack of empathy has left us feeling helpless and disillusioned. We informed Marriott of my husband’s recent diagnosis only to be denied a cancellation of this fraudulent contract. With no human compassion or understanding, this is not a company that you should engage with, and I hope this saves others from a severe heartache and headache.

      The Marriott brand is NOT what it used to be and I can tell you that first hand.

      I am a Mariott owner as well as was very misled! They said there was no blackout dates but there was, Everything they told me was a complete lie!. I tried cancelling from the second week and they are giving me a hard time. They told us we can cancel anytime but that was a lie! The paper workk is only allowing within 10 days of purchase which is unfair!

      You really dont know what you have truely purchased until the close. The only grant access after closing. SO in the mean time the 10days goes by because I am thinking I bought something valuable and waiting on it by the time I truley gain access to it the cacenallation period has passed!

      The guy kept saying wait for the close, and now they are saying I need to pay off the loan in full and if I sell to them I get nothing back. The guy in Palm beach told me I can sell back to them and get paid back more than what I bought it. Again all lies.

      I work hard for my money and i want every penny back! I have not used up any of their vacations. i need my money back! Now

      DISGUSTED WITH MARRIOTT

      I am DISGUSTED with Marriott! I have been a member since 1995, but in recent years, this company has turned my life upside-down. The points are over inflated and not worth what the salespeople told us, making reservations very difficult, usually impossible, to obtain. I was told I could use points to pay maintenance fees, but it’s not true. My points are doubly worthless! Maintenance fees also increased by $1000 this year, which I now know I have to pay out of pocket. This is what I will leave my family when I pass away!
      Before I upgraded, I was fairly happy with my timeshare. Now I feel nothing but disappointment, regret, and disgust. Even more so because I have reached out to Marriott to tell them I am not pleased and outlined all the lies we were told. They responded that they had followed their procedures, and essentially, we have no recourse. That is not true, poor customer service, and an insult.

      Michael ******, Sales Executive at Marriott, pressured us for almost 4 hours to make a purchase with them, after we indicated we were not interested several times. Eventually we ended up purchasing points and we have since paid a significant amount to Marriott and received almost nothing in return. This was initially purchased in July 2019, and we have not been able to travel ONE TIME using the points. We have frequently checked on the website to find availability at various resorts and nothing is ever available. I am convinced the reason I can’t find anything available is because Marriott sells their rooms to non-owners on travel sites accessible by anyone, and leaves a limited number of rooms to the paying owners. On many occasions when I have been unable to use my points to book a resort, I have then gone onto hotel search sites and found that I can easily book a room at the same resort through travel sites.
      They also told us they had a buyback program, but when I inquired about this they told me I first had to pay off the loan and that they would take it back with no compensation to me. I am extremely disappointed that Marriott would act in this manner.

      My wife won an award playing Abound by Marriott Vacations Sweepstakes and Instant Game promotion. I have proof of the winning game played on March 5. The company handling winning notifications (HelloWorld Customer Care) claims to have sent an email to our attention. No such e-mail was ever sent/received. The "prize", equivalent to roughly $500-700 (500 Club Points), was "forfeited" because we did not response to the fictitious email sent by HelloWorld. Marriott will not help us collect on the 500 Club Points. They plainly said, "there is nothing they can do". Simply put, I believe the game was a scam, with Marriott being the perpetrator and HelloWorld assisting. There has to be some sort of checks and balances when offering a sweepstakes that runs daily for 12 weeks through a third party with zero oversight.
