      We just purchased into the Marriott Abound program. My husbands "ex" is still on his original lease. When contemplating Abound they told us "no problem" they can do a quit claim deed for us. The saleswoman said she would walk me through how to book vacations and use the system. Once we purchased, both employees did not keep their word and instead sent us "do it yourself" links. In researching places to stay, if you want a specific style (beach) resort, places are limited unless you book over a year in advance, and the ones that are available are run down and super cheap on other sites such as expedia. I am sick about what we spent on this program and it's just not right how we are treated by the Marriott corporation.

      We are reaching out to convey our extreme dissatisfaction with Marriott Timeshares and their unscrupulous business practices. We feel deceived and trapped by the company, as they misled us into purchasing a timeshare without providing full transparency about the terms and conditions involved. Despite our numerous attempts to communicate our desire to exit the timeshare agreement, Vistana Timeshares has shown an alarming lack of cooperation and has demonstrated greed over customer well-being. This lack of support and flexibility from their end is simply unacceptable. We seek immediate assistance in terminating our contract and request Vistana Timeshares to adopt a more ethical and customer-friendly approach in their dealings.

      To sum up our experience with Marriott ************** we received a series of false statements over a period of 11 years to increase our membership level. We now realize that the lies told to us directly resulted in our buying additional points and increasing our membership level. Each time, almost immediately we discovered that the resorts we wanted were not available for the periods we needed, so we banked points into the next year. The next year, when we tried to book, the resorts we wanted were still not available for the points and times we needed. Then, with our points about to expire, we found availability for a few nights at resorts during the off-season. When we visited the resorts we could book, we asked about the difficulty of finding availability and were told that we would have to buy more points to have a better booking window. We were told that we needed to get to Select Level to have a booking window that would guarantee we could book whatever we wanted. Over the next several years we found ourselves falling into a pattern where we banked every other year and took vacations at resorts where we could find availability. These were not the top Marriott resorts, or they were in the off-season. We couldnt travel even if we did find a resort due to the excessive costs. Meanwhile when we asked for help from an employee that we know by name, he stated he could not help and that we had to be careful with the *** salespeople because they did not follow the rules and made claims to customers that were wrong. He said the only place where the rules had to be followed was at the central customer service center where he worked. He verbally admitted that the *** salespeople make false claims and violate their own company policies. Unmistakable evidence of collusion in their plan to mislead the public.

      I took a vacation to ******* and stayed at the ******************** which is under the Marriott International. I was bitten all over my body by I learned from my doctor visit when I returned home, by BED BUGS. The staff would not give me another room. I went to eat at one of the restaurants and they ran out of one the meals on the menu. I was bitten up so bad, I couldn't wear a swimming suit to enjoy the beach or pool!!!!!

      I signed up for a vacation plan in May 2024 and was sent a payment booklit to make my payment ea month. My first payment was July 17th 2024, I mailed the payment July 11th 2024 and it was posted to my account on July 17th. The next month I mailed the payment on August 11th and as of August 26 it had not been posted to my account so I contacted the company and ask them why my payment has not been posted she says they had not received it. I ask should I stop payment on the check since I did not know where it was and she agreed and told me that I could make a payment with my credit card to avoid a late charge, and that is what I did. But now they have placed a *** charge on my account because of a stop payment. I advised them that the funds where there but I stop payment because I had no idea where the check was. They claim that tey cannot waive a *** fee but they can only waive a late fee. I want them to waive this fee because I still don't know where the check was and why it took so long to reach them. And the check was never returned to me. The *** fee is not correct it was not returned to them for that reason, therefore the I should have not been charged.

      Im appallled by the deceptive sales practices of the Marriott ************* sales team. Im a titanium bonvoy member and I cant believe Marriott Bonvoy would allow their valuable members to be preyed upon and lied to by MVC. We had 10 days to void the contract and after reviewing the inflated point values and severe restrictions for booking properties we canceled our contract. MVC is a scam, Do Not Purchase!!! Shame on Marriott Bonvoy for allowing such deceptive sales practices by MVC.they are professional liars!

      We are deeply dissatisfied with our experience at Marriott Grande Chateau and feel misled by their sales process. As Titanium Elite members, we trusted the brand but were led into a high-pressure sales meeting under the guise of a simple invitation. The sales pitch portrayed the timeshare as a wise investment, comparing it to homeownership with promises of increasing value and easy resale, none of which have materialized. The website is confusing, booking is limited, and maintenance fees continue to rise, rendering our purchase useless. Our attempts to resolve these issues with the timeshare have been met with unfeasible solutions that push further financial burdens on us. We are seeking effective assistance to exit this stressful situation, as we are unable to afford or utilize the timeshare, and need to protect our family from future repercussions.

Availability is not guaranteed, and we recommend making reservations 12 to 13 months in advance to increase your chances of securing your desired dates. We do have an exit option, but it depends on current business conditions. Additionally, you acknowledged your understanding of the maintenance fees at the time of purchase.       We're really frustrated with our Marriott timeshare membership. At first, they dazzled us with a fancy presentation of all the incredible amenities and gorgeous global properties we could access. They even showed us a swanky two-bedroom condo to seal the deal. But once the initial wow factor wore off, we were hit with a relentless sales pitch from four different agents, each one more persuasive than the last. They stressed that prices would skyrocket if we didn't sign up immediately and that the special incentives were exclusive to that day. We were also told our points would renew every year, which sounded fantastic then. What they conveniently forgot to mention were the hefty maintenance fees. We only discovered this after our first bill hit us like a ton of bricks. These fees just keep climbing, especially as we purchase more points. Despite our efforts to cancel all contracts, Marriott only let us drop a few, ignoring our need to cut ties entirely due to the financial pressure. Adding to the headache, they suggested we could pass the timeshare on to our kids. But considering our children's financial situation, that would be more of a burden than a gift. Plus, trying to book places we actually want to visit is nearly impossible, even when we plan 13 months ahead. And if that wasn't enough, our stays have been plagued with issues like broken stoves and toilets, missing shower curtains, and one time, a burst refrigerator water line that flooded our room. Their response times were painfully slow, leaving us stuck for hours. Overall, our timeshare experience with Marriott has been more of a nightmare than a dream vacation solution. We hope Marriott steps up and addresses these issues to relieve some of the stress they've caused our family.

      Enrolled in *** Encore Membership on Jan 10 2024. Package includes 4 nights in a 1 BR villa at Marriott ********* or Marriott ********** in *****, with travel dates of Jan 1 2025 - 15 Apr 2025 at a cost of $2,195. Provided Marriott representative with two different sets of dates at either location that would enable us to vacation with other family members who are *** weeks owners. Its now eight months later (Sep 10 2024), and *** apparently does not have the inventory to meet the collective demand of weeks owners, points owners and encore members. Worse, they refuse to refund the cost of the contract. The fact that the contract is written as not refundable ought not apply when it is MVC that cannot honor its own terms.

      I agree with what everyone said. I cant believe I fell for this scam. we were NEVER able to book anything AND were NOT able to sell it back as we were led to believe in the sales pitch.
