Absolutely the worst service ever! They over charged me extra fees that I had no knowledge of after the fact. It was neve explained on the phone when I placed the order they billed me a few weeks after the fact. Then billed me again they are sharks and are thirsty for any type of money they can get. They dont deserve to do business. Just look at the other reviews I am not the only oneFreightCenter

FreightCenter is a 3rd party logistics company; therefore, we do not handle or transport freight; we simply connect the shipper to a carrier. As such, the liability lies with the carrier because they are handling and transporting your cargo.
We understand billing adjustments are an inconvenient part of the shipping process and we do our very best to ensure our shippers avoid them at all costs. Please note that all carriers verify the information provided on the cargo they handle and if there are any discrepancies with what was reported during the quote phase and the actual weight, class or dimensions or services used, as noted by the carrier, a billing adjustment is issued by the carrier.In your case, the carrier arrived at the pickup location on the requested pick up date. They were not given any freight, so the carrier charges an attempted pick-up fee for going there. There is not anything we can do about that.
Even though your shipment was 55 lbs and could have been unloaded by hand, some carriers, for liability reasons will not allow it.
Again, we apologize for the experience and hope that this clarifies the fee charged from the carrier.

The experience I have had with this company is a NIGHTMARE to say the least. *****, *****, and **** are some of the most unprofessional "representatives" I have encountered in my life. I was told on multiple difference occasions to "hold up", interrupted left and right. I was told that the pickup would happen on a Friday, it is now Tuesday the following week and the pickup has not happened. When speaking to the manager, *************************, about the copious issues I have had he brushed them off and offered a 80% refund. When expressing my issue with that "solution" he proceeded to tell me, "do what you have to do." Of course, it left me 0 shock knowing the manager is like this, because his employees are unprofessional and not understanding to the above issues. And who were they trained by? Their manager, *************************. Please avoid using this THIRD PARTY business and just book with a direct transport company to avoid wasting your time and money. Also, the review made by ***** on this website is an employee at the company who I had a horrible experience with. Avoid this company at all costs, clearly the BBB needs to do a review of this scam of a company.FreightCenter

As a Third-************************ FreightCenter requests a pickup from the freight carrier on the requested day. Unfortunately, they dont always make it to pick up on that requested day. When this happens, they will roll it over to the next business day.
Its important to keep in mind that all pickup and delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and not guaranteed we can simply request a date, but the carriers oversee scheduling. We do work with all of our carriers to ensure a smooth process, but there are always factors such as capacity, weather, holidays etc. that are beyond anyones control.
The agent did state the pickup is a request and that transit times are estimates.
During your conversation with the sales agent, it was stated that your shipment couldnt arrive before Monday, 12/4/23. It was not discussed that this was time sensitive and had to arrive on Wednesday 12/6/23. In fact, it was stated that it could deliver anytime after Wednesday.
The sales agent told you to hold up one time and he apologized as soon as he got back on the phone. As ****** told you, this has been handled internally. He is a newer agent and was a little tongue tied throughout the conversation.
More and more companies charge cancellation or restocking fees. This is not uncommon.Our company policy is a 20% fee for cancelling. It is clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions.

********************************* who represented the Freight Center was absolutely OUTSTANDING in his accuracy, high levels of customer service and overall kindness all throughout the process!! We relied on Freight Center to safely locate and get a VERY RARE and expensive antique century old jukebox picked ** in *********** and delivered to us here in ******** and the it arrived in absolutely superb condition with great communication all along the way. Their rate to blanket wrap this piece was extremely reasonable and far less than all of their competitors! I had an engine shipped from ********** to *********. They sent me the invoice for $270. after a week they sent me an adjustment for another $150 and took the money from the credit card. When I called, a lady told me that the driver arrived after 5 pm to pick up the engine, and nobody was there, so they charged me for attempted pick-up. Of course, nobody was there since the business hours they put on the first invoice were 8 am- 5 pm. When I asked why they went after hours, she stated that the engine was not ready to be picked up. That lady also told me that I could not do anything because I was supposed to read the terms and conditions printed on the first invoice. Worst company ever, they don't know what to tell, just lie and take extra money for something that you can't even verify. Plus the engine came few days later than supposedFreightCenter

We reached out to the carrier who was contracted to transport your shipment. They informed us that the driver arrived at 3:07 pm on 11/15/2023, and the freight was not ready. This was the reason that you were charged an attempted pick up. He may have gone back after 5:00 pm as a courtesy to see if it was ready. The attempt charge is valid and cannot be disputed.
We hope this clarifies the additional charge by the carrier.

*********************** @ FreightCenter is THE best! I never look any farther than this for my LTL shipments! Always responsive, low cost options, date sensitive options, you name it. Every time I contact **** @ FreightCenter, the shipment goes where it is supposed to go, on time, and on budget. He makes it too easy to ship LTL.FreightCenter

5 stars for across the board! I will use FreightCenter again, and again for my shipping needs. I have to say, the customer service that I received (from ********************) was STELLAR! Top notch! It's hard to find people that are completely dedicated to their work and truly care about the customers. We ran into a couple issues with the shipment, but ********** never skipped a beat. He went over and beyond to make sure that things were taken care of and the shipment was scheduled and shipped out as planned. MASSIVE MARKUP without taking any RESPONSIBILITY 1. I was quoted $8,750 for a 3,100 mile cross country shipment for a truck with lift gate. I was told to do a wire transfer in advance plus 3% wire fee as a new customer. I did. I was clear with the company that I had to ensure everything aligned with movers. They said no problem. The truck never showed. I was literally standing outside of the storage unit with my movers as we had staged half of what was to go into the truck. I had to pay the movers (minimum 3 hours) to take everything back in after we had it all staged. 2. A week later, I was told to pay an additional $2,000+ via credit card to get a different truck that would leave the trailer there for three days for loading. I was told I was getting a discount due to the initial problem. The day before the arrival, I was told that instead, a different truck without a lift gate would arrive but only be available for part of the day. I suddenly had to find and rent a fork-lift as well as a team to load everything in as quickly as possible - by 'tomorrow'. 3. The next day, a truck was there at the storage unit when I arrived with a forklift at 7am. 4. After talking to the driver, I found that the actual bid FreightCenter was around $5,300 (he showed me on the system) and they just milked me for everything they could without taking responsibility for the truck not showing, the last minute change, or anything. 5. FreightCenter.com states that it is a veteran owned company and is committed to serving those who have served. As a veteran (USMC) it is even more disheartening to experience something like this. If this is how a veteran owned company treats other veterans...I just don't know what to say. I did want to validate things and did some research. According to getscalefunding's current freight rate trends (Sept 27th) the average price per mile is $2.05 which would be $6,300. So while the $5,300 is low (a great price), what I was charged was exorbitant.FreightCenter

With the type of shipment that you requested, a full 53 dry van with a lift gate, is not a standard shipment. Its more of a specialty shipment. It is difficult to find that kind of equipment. This is why it took so long. It is not unusual for the driver back out. You were also able to call it off at any time without penalty.
The agent worked at finding you the correct equipment. Unfortunately,the cost was higher.
We have contracted rates with the carriers that we use. The cost that the driver showed you was incorrect. Of course, the price will be marked up, as we are a business. After speaking with our carrier, he is not charging for the 7 hours detention time on pick up or delivery. Normally there is a 2 hour free load and unload.
The agent was trying to save you the 3% credit card fee by having you wire the money. You werent charged as you did send the wire. Our credit card fee is for all of our customers, not just new ones.We hope this information helps clear up any confusion.
