Meraki Solar installed my solar panels in February 2023, operational by July 29, 2023. Before signing the contract, I informed them about a planned reroofing project for my home and neighborhood, managed by my HOA, set for Q2 2024.
On April 3, 2024, I contacted Meraki to schedule panel removal. On July 12, 2024, they invoiced me for removal/reinstallation, stating their solar division was sold to Freedom Forever and directing me to contact them. I paid the invoice on July 15, 2024.
Over five weeks, I communicated extensively with both companies. Meraki claimed they could no longer handle the process due to the sale, while Freedom Forever initially said they were transferring customer data but later stated Meraki remained responsible for my contract, with Freedom Forever only collaborating partially.
After 18 emails (including to Meraki’s CEO) and over 60 calls (mostly unanswered), Meraki scheduled removal for August 19, 2024. The removal was professional, though workers and vehicles lacked company identification.
Following reroofing completion and city inspection, I contacted Meraki on December 12, 2024, to request reinstallation. To date, I’ve sent 8 emails and made 20 calls, all unanswered. Freedom Forever insists Meraki must authorize reinstallation, but Meraki is unresponsive.
Neither company has taken action to reinstall the panels, leaving me in a vulnerable position. My 25-year solar loan and HOA agreements require proper installation and maintenance, yet neither Meraki nor Freedom Forever has provided assurance they’ll cover damages or leaks from improper reinstallation. This lack of accountability is unacceptable.Initial Complaint

According to my contracts Meraki must provide removal and reinstall at a set price. One contract says it’s for them to do my roof as well. When I ask about pricing they claim it’s a bundle deal and they refuse to give itemize pricing. The price quoted is so far over market.Initial Complaint

Was to receive heating system that has not been installed. I have now received a letter from the credit company ****** that I have never heard of. The money has been dispersed without my knowledge. We had solar panels installed on our home by Meraki Solar. At first they were in constant communication with us throughout the process and installation. Once installed we have had a hard time getting responses from Meraki in regards to issues we've had with panels not working, roof damages, and have not seen a difference in what we have been paying for electrical. For the past several months we have tried emailing and calling all of the numbers we can find with no response. After having to do some research we find out that Meraki is now working with Freedom Forever. When contacting Freedom Forever they said they are merging with Meraki when it comes to solar panel servicing but any complaints, damage, or communications needs to be done with Meraki. They phone number they gave is the same one when you call - its a recording, and no matter what options you choose it puts you on hold and then a recording says they are busy and hangs up on you. I have searched online to see if anyone has been having issues and there are so many complaints from Meraki customers saying they are having the same issues: no communication, can't get in touch with anyone, damages, and no difference in paying less for electrical. We are now paying more than what we were paying in the beginning with a loan of thousands of dollars and no help from Meraki Solar. They are scamming and ripping off people.Initial Complaint

I have solar at my home installed by Meraki solar has not been working since Oct. the 3rd i reached to Meraki and i found out they are in partnership with Freedom solar now for all service only I been told my solar will be fixed by the end of Jan, i am paying my mouthly payments for the panels on my roof and now i am paying a big electric bill on top of my mouthly payment as well, I sent Meraki an email for reimbursement I was told to email the other company for reimbursement the other company said it on Meraki. I have no way to get in touch with Meraki for anything to do with my solar. all i am looking for is for my solar to be fixed and reimbursement for the payments for the panels and for electric bill. My payments for the panels are $236.27 per mouth for 3 mouths my electric bills are for oct I had to pay $ 288.48, Nov was $292.50, and Dec was $ 319.00. This is only From Oct to Dec. Meraki installed my solar system a few years ago with a 25 year warranty. My system has not been generating power for a few weeks. I have tried calling the business and have not reached anyone. I have sent a few Facebook messages, emailed the company, sent a contact request through the website and even contacted a few prior employees in my phone contacts and no one has contacted me. We got out solar panels installed 2022 and have had roof leaks from improper installation,
We payed Duke energy bills for two months after we got them due to Meraki not transferring account and now we have hurricane damage to our roof and no one will answer our text, emails and voicemails. Bought a home with solar panels installed by Meraki Solar. Well they aren’t working and I’m paying a high energy bill along with a loan for the panels that transferred to me when I bought the home. Freedom USA bought out Meraki and to have the 25yr warranty from Meraki transferred to my name from the previous owner they want me to pay $595. Makes no since to me.Initial Complaint

I have tried calling meraki solar several times to see why my solar panels aren’t working no one has called me back and they haven’t been working for 3 months I just want my solar panels working or they can get them off my roof
