      I bought my cat's food on Monday, they took the money right away but on Tuesday I Receive a message that says that I needed to call to customer service to fix something with my account.Which I did and they asked me a lot of verification questions and then they said that everything was fixed and that I will receive the food between 24 and 48 hours on Friday 4am I receive another email saying that I should call again and do the same process again and that they couldn't Approve my purchase EVEN THO THEY TOOK THE MONEY ON MONDAY asked for same information twice and told me that I will receive the food not later than friday... And because Is friday Already, and my cat does not have her food and I will have to go to another store anyway I aked them to cancel my order and account And they said that they will give me back the money in 2 business days MEANING NEXT WEEK (I have to wait for the weekend plus to the business day for having the money back when they did not have any problems takingit from me instantly) and like nothing they invite me to create a profile for my pet to keep buying there?!, haha not even crazy, The audacity of this people... I will not buy there Ever again....

      I'm so sorry about your recent order experience. At Chewy, we strive to provide a positive experience with every customer interaction, and we dropped the ball here.

      At Chewy, we only charge your account when your order is shipped, however, when you first place an order, our payment system requests a payment authorization from your bank or credit card issuer, which basically places a hold for an estimated total amount of your order. This authorization/hold is not an actual final charge, but it does immediately affect the available balance on your bank account, in accordance with your banks practices or your credit card companys practices. Your bank will reserve the funds in your account or until your items ship or the authorization expired, and depending on your banks policy, you may see a payment authorization even when the order was canceled. If your items dont ship, the payment authorization will expire, and the funds will be released back to your account. Some banks make take up to 30 days to remove payment authorizations from your account.

      Additional details and information on our payment process can be found on the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page of Chewy.com under the section labeled Payments (**************************************************).

      I did some digging and was able to locate your most recent order ending in *****. Since that order was canceled prior to shipping, a final charge was not processed for that order. When the order was canceled, the pending hold/payment authorization for those orders should have been released thereafter, but the timing of the release would depend on your banking institution.

      We wanted to let everyone know that Chewy is a great, caring company. We recently, unexpectedly lost our dog of 6 and a half years. Having just purchased food for her from Chewy, which was still unopened, we called to inquire whether the food could be returned. Their customer service **** Dondella, advised us to donate the food (which we did) and Chewy refunded us our purchase price.They followed this up with a very nice note of condolence and a memorial stone hand painted with our dog's name and a rose.We have been Chewy customers for many years and have found in our dealings with them that they are efficient and professional and always caring. We would advise anyone, if you haven't done so already, please give Chewy your business.

      I've been a customer for a number of years, and Chewy is by far and away the best company I've dealt with. I've only had a couple of issues with products bought from Chewy, and each time the issue has been dealt with quickly, professionally and with none of the BS that I've come to expect from online companies. The customer service people are friendly and efficient, and just the type of people who keep me as a very loyal customer. I like the fact that when I was sent an order of food, through their auto ship program, that I no longer needed since my critter had passed away, I was told to not worry about returning it - they suggested that I donate it to a pet shelter. Which I did, and told them that it was courtesy of Chewy. This company is amazing and I have recommended them to all my fellow pet parents. If Chewy were a person, I would put them in the "mensch" category - I have no higher praise than that.

      I felt the need to write a review on the company in general as I feel that the email I sent didn't really resolve anything. I've heard countless stories about how when a pet passes Chewy goes above and beyond and sends something to the grieving pet parent, but somehow I ended up getting passed over for this. My senior dog passed a few weeks ago and I did let Chewy know as I was expecting meds for her. They were kind a refunded me for these and expressed their condolences, however I haven't even received so much as a card from this company. I had emailed them to express my disappointment and was told that while they do send gifts to grieving pet parents it's not always possible. My question is why - why do certain customers get the above and beyond treatment but it is not standard for every customer? I didn't get an apology for being overlooked or missed, just that for whatever reason it wasn't possible for me to be one of the customers to get treated the same as countless others. This is very hurtful, I've been a customer for MANY years and I am being made to feel as if my grief is not important enough to even get a card showing some sympathy. I did respond with these sentiments and did get a ***ly from a different *** apologizing for how I was made to feel, but honestly at this point the damage is done - I will only be using Chewy for items I cannot find elsewhere. I hope Chewy takes this complaint seriously and does better - please treat ALL your customers equally, not just a select few, because you do hurt those you overlook and you will lose their loyalty.

      Chewy is a great company, very accommodating and reasonable prices. My spouse and I noticed many stray cats at our apartment complex, some that get dumped at the park next to us, others that get left behind when residents move out, others that just happened to find their way here. We dont have much disposable income so we look for the cheapest prices online/in store. Chewy always manages to have the cheaper prices or better bundles and the free shipping after x amount really helps! We had an incident where some of the wet food came in damaged, one can even busted open in the box. We messaged chewy and they were able to replace it as soon as possible. I am thankful and appreciate how easy and quickly they were able to resolve our problem.

      I know people have mixed experiences when it comes to large companies. However, chewy has been nothing but helpful and absolute lifesavers for me. They helped me get life saving medicine for my dog during an ice storm and were nothing but helpful/kind even when I was panicking and probably being a huge pain. They also offer free vet professional advice on their site, and the people there are absolutely kind and knowledgeable. They have given me advice that I would have paid hundreds for at the emergency vet for things that turned out to not be a big deal. I am very anxious when it comes to my pets and their well being, and they have always been calm and reassuring. I have used chewy many times over the years and only had a couple questionable experiences which were always corrected promptly. While I know big corporations as a whole care about money the most, I truly believe the individual employees here are in it to help animals and they will try to help you any way they can.

      I've been using Chewy for years both for my chinchilla, Merlin, and my cat, Mel. Any time an issue has happened (such as bad hay coming in or a dented wheel most likely caused during shipping), Chewy was always quick to correct the issue by replacing the item at no charge and with expedited shipping. Items in my order always have come in the promised time frame and the items I need are almost always in stock. Customer service is USA based and 24 hours a day, which is AMAZING. Any time I've had to call, people are so polite and helpful. I was most recently blown away by the compassion of Chewy when Mel passed away and I inquired via e-mail on if there was a way I could return my most recent high dollar unused order. I received a very thoughtful and kind e-mail from a woman named DeAnna letting me know she would refund my order in full and to hold on to the items for the future, or to donate to a local shelter. She also let me know that the staff was there 24 hours a day if I wanted to call and cry, tell stories about Mel, anything I needed to do... they would be there to listen. As if that wasn't kind enough of her, 2 days later I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers with a condolences message, signed her and the Chewy staff. Chewy is a company that genuinely cares about the wellness of our pets. The staff goes above and beyond to make the best out of every situation and to ensure that the customers are taken care of. The world needs more businesses like this and definitely more employees like theirs. I eagerly await bringing new pets into my home so I can give them my business again.

      We have been using Chewy for the past several years with our fur-babies. Auto-ship along with the cost is the best thing ever... just saying. Unfortunately, one of our fur-babies past away right at the time their autoship ($80 plus) supply was schedule to be shipped. I contacted Chewy and I can not express how wonderful their employees were to me. One even cried with me. They stopped the shipment and refunded the money. Can not express my appreciation for their compassion. In this day and time of horrible consumer service, CHEWY is the exception and remains committed and cares for their consumers. Thank you Chewy!

      Awful customer service. ********************** charged my account 3 times more than what should have been charged and when I spoke to ***** in customer service her response was that I can have my bank call her and discuss the issue in a 3 way call as they see a different charge on their end. The lack of any assistance or service is unbelievable! Completely unprofessional - This makes no sense if they are the one who charged the account in the first place. Will never use them again and will file a complaint with the BBB

Once the warehouse was selected, after an item(s) was removed from the order, and your order was shipped, the final amount including the final tax was calculated, totaling $72.99. At that time, a final charge was processed for that amount. The pending hold or authorization should have been released thereafter, depending on your bank or credit card issuer.

      I've been a customer with ********************** for several years. The have supplied food and prescription medications for my dog Bear. On August 19th my dog passed away. On August 20th I received my usual auto ship for one of his medications. I notified Chewy a couple of days later and asked if I could return the medication to them as I had not open the box. She stated no I couldn't but she would return the amount that I paid back to my credit card and informed how I could destroy the medication. I literally cried on the phone. The pharmacist was polite and attentive to my needs. Thanks Chewy.
