      Horrible customer service! They refused to allow me to order from their website with a coupon that was directed to me and not expired. They wanted me to prove the items in my order. They asked for personal information that was not necessary. Then they made up an excuse that they would not honor my coupon because it was already used. It was never used because it has been sitting in a box for 6 weeks until I returned home. Unless the mailperson used it, it was not used at all. I have tried to place an order with Chewy twice. Both times I was refused for an unknown (real) reason. If I get a response, it will be the usual placated answer.

      They are terrible. People. At this point even if they send me something I don't trust to use it. So, greenies sent me a coupon for hips and joints for my dog. It was for *****. I couldn't find the bigger one in any retailers. Called greenies and they said to contact chewy and I did. She told me to send it to an address and I did. Months passed and nothing came. I did a survey on her and gave her good review. On the second call I was told I should have placed an order. To make this long story short they stole ***** in coupon and never sent me anything. I don't want to place an order because I don't want to end up owing these terrible people money. Oh, that's is not the first time I have been ripped off. I am thankful I make my own dog food and give plenty of fish for chondroitin and glucosomine. They have nothing to offer me and others and I want people to know they will never make up for their mistakes and will steal your coupons

      I am writing a review to tell you about my poor customer experience from **********************. First I signed up for autoship and had to call to get it released for the past couple of months, which the last time I called they said they released the autoship and never did so I had to take the time again to call and get it released. Now today I chatted with someone for over 20 minutes to let them know I received a brochure in the mail with code and it was not taking the code. He questioned me and asked does it have an expiration date? No expiration date. Does it have your name on thr brochure? No place for a name or address? I asked him(*******) to transfer me to a supervisor and he disconnected me and stopped the chat. Now I am very frustrated, so I had to take more time to call to get this issue resolved(which nver happened). I told the supervisor my issue and then she kept talking and would not let me talk until I finally said,"Let me stop you there". She kept stating that the only code was b1g1 50% and that was not a correct code. I had even sent a picture with the item pictured with the online code with it. She just kept repeating herself so I just thanked her for her time and told her I would contact the BBB.

      I am writing my review here only because I can't leave it on ******. I guess Chewy really cares about possible negative reviews and that option is blocked on ******. Evidently that's how they come up with almost 5 rating. I had an auto ship order for cat prescription food with them and it was never easy with them no matter what vet I had. Recently, we moved to a different area and the vet apparently doesn't work with Chewy. So, the new shipment of cat food didn't go through because they needed an authorization. Well, I reached out to the vet and asked for a new urinary care prescription, uploaded it but the order status kept showing 'need new authorization'. I called and was told everything is okay. Shortly after I got an automated email stating that they need a new authorization and my order status was still showing 'need new authorization'. I reached again very frustrated. I was told that my order in the warehouse and they don't know why my order status still appear as 'need new authorization'. I got one shipment. When it was time for a new shipment my order status... what? yes, correct still shows 'need new authorization'. I opened a new chat support and I was finally told that they can't proceed because my authorization is urinary care and stress management and this authorization is for urinary care. That's absolutely bizarre because category for this food is still urinary care. I guess I need a new prescription if my cat will get tired of tuna and I decide to get chicken. Therefore, this place has tons of training opportunities, customer service lack knowledge and they really waste your time. It is not seamless by any means. Needles to say, I am looking for a new online store.

      I did some digging and located your most recent order ending *****. Veterinary diet foods are specially formulated to support pets with specific medical conditions or dietary needs. While they dont contain medication, they are designed to address specific health concerns. Because these diets may not provide complete and balanced nutrition for healthy pets, manufacturers require a veterinary authorization before we can process and ship your order. Additionally, for each formulation or variety of food, authorization is needed from your vet to ensure it meets your pets unique dietary requirements.


      Your previous veterinary clinic authorized more than one formulation. However, your new veterinary clinic has only authorized one variety. To that end, Chewy is only authorized to ship 1 of the 2 formulations that you attempted to order. This is also the reason that you continued receiving requests for a new authorization for the new Veterinary diet formulation.


      While reviewing your account, I discovered that you also had an additional account that used the same information. This may have contributed to some of the conflicting information you received from our customer care team. Please feel free to reach out anytime to **************, and one of our friendly customer care team members will be happy to assist in deleting the additional account to streamline your order experience.

      Chewy has the BEST customer service. I unfortunately had to put my dog down unexpectedly due to a tumor that ruptured on his heart. I had just purchased prescription dry and wet food (which we all know is very expensive) for him. I called Chewy to ask if i could ship the food back to them. They told me to donate it AND they gave me my money back. I wish i could remember who I talked to on the phone, she was amazing. She was caring, kind, and very understanding about everything. Not only did Chewy refund my money, but they also sent me a sympathy card and a present. The sympathy present was a hand painted rock with flowers with my dogs name on it! I know it might not sound like much but the fact that they took the time to hand paint the rock and send it to me is amazing. I have been a Chewy customer for years and I will continue to use them for all my pets needs!! Thank you so much Chewy for being incredible and caring about our pets!!

      The best customer service ever. Orders arrive quickly, prices are better than any other retailers. Chewy stands behind their customers. If by some chance I get an inaccurate item in my autoship order, they fix it immediately. Their autoship is easy to set up. You can set your own delivery date. Orders always arriven within 1 to 3 days. The best way to get your fur babies food, treats, toys, litter, supplies. Whatever you need.

      They've gone downhill. their dog food, my dog won't eat anymore. I've tried 3 different kinds. Now they're requiring me to return the open bag of dog food that I bought. they've never done that before. So what are they doing re-bagging these and putting them in other bags and saying it's something else? Because I used to donate the open bags that I didn't finish when they returned my money to local shelters. So is there some kind of sketchy stuff going on with this company because the last three bags of dog food that I bought from there my dog didn't like this last one he won't touch. Now mind you this is a expensive bag of dog food and a highly rated dog food... I'm disabled and it was convenient using chewy, but I'll never use them again. Because now I have to print off a return label, that they sent to me via email. I have to either a take it to a FedEx place and drop it off or B set up an appointment to have it returned which I took b. But still my dog has no food now, mind you this was an $80 bag of food... also I have to wait for my money to get returned to me (I'm on a fixed income) when they receive the returned box of dog food well bag of dog food. Just such an inconvenience. I used to really like chewy they used to be top notch awesome. But guess what, they've gone downhill. And I'm over it. I will never go through them again. plus some of these pet stores around here have better deals than chewy does sometimes anyway. Btw the first brand I was buying gave my dog a lump. So be careful.

While we understand it can be frustrating to have to make a return, please be advised that in the future items may need to be returned to us before we can process a replacement or refund.

Generally speaking, you should have seen the refunded amount credited to the account associated with the payment method used for the order within 3 to 5 business days, however that timing may vary based on your banking institution.

      I am speechless. After successfully getting my dog food through chewy for one year, all of a sudden they became completely incompetent. I have had two separate orders get lost by ***** and chewys only options given are a refund and to re-order. My dog has not had his normal food for 2.5 weeks and looks like he never will. They have no guarantee of delivery and really do not care at all if you get it. Awful company, awful customer service, and no one who can even grasp what is going on.
