      My daughter ***************************** was unexpectically born a micro-preemie weighing only 1 lb. 8oz. and was in the **** at ****************, ** for 84 days. ***** received **** services from 7/27 to 10/19 with a consult fee on 7/22. I wish to pay this **** bill but I am designated as self pay and also I am a member of a Christian ********************** Healthshare. My healthshare simply requests: 1. self-pay discount. 2. complete superbill with all CPT codes and charges. 3. a written balance with the discounted balance amount.However, Pediatrix Medical Group has 1. refused to offer self-pay discount, 2. refused to release and send a complete superbill. 3. refused to put any partially discounted offer in writing. 4. Are grossely overcharging me from a fair and reasonable reimbursement rate. I am not insisting on a self-pay discount but a RVU reimbursement rate at least comparable to private insurance rate. The total bill was initially $212,810.27 and only nominally refuced to $189,644.00. Also, please understand this is for the neonatogist fee only and does not include hospital fee, raduology fee, opthomology fees, or lab fees which are being paid or already paid. This rate of reimbursement works out to be between $250-300/ RVU (calculated total RVU = work RVU + expense RVU + malpractice RVU). In comparison, the government ******** reimbursement rate is $33/RVU ($23,409). The private insurance reimbursement rate is about $66/RVU ($46,818). State ******** pays even less than ******** in most states. However Pediatrix Medical Group is wanting to charge me nearly 10x the government ******** rate, and 5x the private insurance rate.They also have not yet given me a complete superbill with CPT codes and charges for dates of service listed above.

      This account was reported to a third party, IC Systems. I paid the bill in full June 14, 2022 ($172). I filed a dispute on my credit report but IC Systems refused to remove it until American Anesthesiologist communicated the account was paid. I also sent IC Systems a mailed copy of he receipt. I contacted American Anesthesiologist several times last year for them to communicate to IC Systems the bill has been paid. On January 25, 2023 I was informed by a representative no communication had been made and he was expediting my request to a supervisor to have it resolved. As of February 10th the debt is still reporting to my credit. I contacted American Anesthesiologist again and spoke with *****, Supervisor who shared the account was expedited and she would send communication to IC Systems.American Anesthesiologist has failed to communicate the paid debt in a timely manner and act as if they did not care. In my communication over the last several months and for this issue to not be resolved almost a year later is ridiculous. This is the only thing showing in my collections on my credit report. As you know when trying to apply for a mortgage collections are none factors. I have done all I can do to make this change happen. Hopefully, with some support we can get this resolved very soon.       ******************* ASSOCIATES received an inquiry regarding a patient that we provided anesthesia services to on July 10, 2020 at Piedmont ****** ************************** Our office conducted a full review of the billing for the services for this patient and below is a summary of our findings.
      At the time of service the insurance information provided to us was ********** Blue Shield (BCBS) of Georgia We billed the claim to the insurance on behalf of the patient.
      BCBS processed the claim with a patient responsibility of $242.25 which we billed to the patient in August of 2020. The patient paid $70.00 in October of 2020 leaving a balance of $172.25.
      There was no additional payment received from the patient and the balance of $172.25 was sent to collections in February of 2021.
      The patient made a payment for the balance of $172.25 in June of 2022.
      We have taken the following steps:
      Reached out to the patient via telephone and advised of actions taken.
      Requested our collections agency close the account and send the patient a letter to advise the account has been paid.
      Advised the collections agency to request the credit reporting agency remove any associated negative credit reporting.  The collections agency has no control over how quickly this Is done. This is managed by the credit reporting agency.
      Our goal is to provide exceptional patient care and excellent customer service to all of our patients and their families and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact me should you need any further information.

      Last January my husband and I had our twin sons 7 weeks early. As a result they were each in the **** for 28 days. We applied for financial assistance with the hospital they were born at and recieved it which helped greatly and we paid off the hospital bills right away. However, there was a separate bill for their **** doctor from Pediatrix Medical Group (not associated with the hospital) for $7,268.46. PMG also said we could apply for financial assistance which we did in May of 2022. I was first told the review could take **** days, then told it could take ***** days, now we are 9 months in and still waiting. I have called numerous times, I have spoken with a 'supervisor' several times, I've emailed several times. I literally get no where. All we want is some financial assistance with this bill and to pay it off so it isn't hanging over our heads but we cannot get anywhere with this company. They have put our account on hold and basically told us 'don't call us we'll call you and your account is still under review'. We are trying to be responsible here but we are getting no where. Would love some help!!

      The phone number, ************, listed on their bills, their website, and even on your website as a contact number does not work. I have searched their website and found the number ************ which also does not work. It doesn't seem quite right to not provide a way to contact someone about the bill they have received.

      I received a bill from Pedtrix Medical Group for $1254 for services regarding my son. I immediately was skeptical because I never heard of them. The bill is very vague and only list services as ***************** or Birth and Hospital Discharge Day.' This doesn't tell me anything regarding the services the supposedly provided me. Also, I already paid the hospital and the doctor for the birth of my son, so i really don't understand what this company did for me. So I decided that I will put the bill aside and deal with it at a later time. Then I received a collection notices, I disputed it because I told them i don't know who this company is and that i needed more detailed list of services they provided me before I will make a payment. They ended up sending me the same vague bill. So i then reached out to my insurance company to see if this company tried to file a claim because if they would have then the bill should have been covered. The ***************** said they don't see any claims from this company. I then called Piedmont to see if they see Dr. ************************* that's listed on my bill in their system as providing me service and they said they did not. So at this point, I continue to dispute this bill because things are not adding up and I want it to be get cancelled.

      My wife delivered our daughter (*********************************) on 11/23/2021. After all official bills from the hospital were paid in full, we received a bill from Pediatrix almost 8 months later with two separate charges. One charge for $596 and another for $715. The bill does not list any specific services that were charged. The health insurance policy active during the hospital visit covered all services, as our deductible had been met. After speaking with Pediatrix customer service multiple times to request proof of debt and proof that insurance was billed we have decided to write a formal complaint. **************** representatives were rude to my wife during recent conversations over the phone. Cigna is our insurance provider and they have no record of any charges or attempted charges from Pediatrix. *********************************** is the listed physician on the bill. We have no record of our child being treated or seen by this physician. We received a Final Notice to pay the bill this week. Our daughter was added to our insurance promptly after her delivery to avoid any billing errors. Northside has no record of this bill or services provided from *********************************. The account listed on the bill is ********. We have made every effort to resolve this matter regardless of the poor customer service from **********************. Due to the class action law suit and multiple complaints from other concerned parties, we are taking all the necessary precautions.

      Pediatrix needs to clarify exactly what services are being billed for and prove the services were provided to the appropriate patient. If all evidence is correct, the bill needs to be sent to insurance.

      My son was born in November 2021 at ****** ***** Medical. Over a year later, I received a letter saying I am responsible for the bill because my son did not have an insurance coverage. I had *************** at the time of delivery and continue to do so until the end of 2022. My son also had a coverage through me and continue to do so until the end of 2022. When I spoke to a customer service rep at **********************, she said they've billed multiple claims, and some are coming back as no coverage. When I asked why that is she said that's why we are getting you involved. I told her that it's probably because they are billing under my son's information instead of mine as he was covered through me for the first 31 days of his life, she said it's not something they do. I've reached out to our insurance and they've tried to get in touch with Pediatrix. Pediatrix is refused to refile the claim with my information instead of my son''s, as the claim will now be denied as timely filing. In this case, they will no longer be able to bill me. Pediatrix had my information and my son's information if they were able to bill for other services. I delivered at a big hospital where I gave my info to the hospital and was disseminated to other providers of the hospital. Pediatrix was able to bill and paid for all other services they provided while my son and I were under the care. I am not sure why they are refusing to do the work to get paid. I am a patient, I do not know the ins and outs of medical billing. Also, what's strange is that I didn't have my son's insurance info to give at the hospital, he didn't have his own number until later. I find it Pediatrix' act of pushing their responsibility to patient unethical. Also, we now live abroad, and there is no way to contact them other than phone and even then, the reps are extremely dismissive.

      I received a call from a debt collection agency regarding a $500 unpaid medical bill from Mednax (Pediatrix Medical Group) from my daughters birth in May of 2022. The debt collector mentioned the date of service and the medical doctor who saw my daughter and then advised me to contact Pediatrix. I had never heard of this company before and I had never received a bill from this company. When I was in the hospital with my newborn daughter I was not aware that a separate medical group apart from the hospital staff would be seeing my child and I was not aware that I would be billed for this service. I called Pediatrix stating I never received a bill and they said they had mailed me notices. It turns out Pediatrix not only had my date of birth wrong but also my mailing address wrong which explains why I had never received a bill or statement.

      Id been taking my child there for months. Like clockwork the receptionist and health provider would call to confirm our visit and share updates. After our visits were completed, I found out the billing department changed my address and deleted my ALL of my contact information and sent me to a ****************** When I finally found out what they did, I called billing and they acknowledged they changed my information without my permission, but would leave my account with the ****************** They ruined my credit!!!
