      02/2023 went to Coast Dental ************************************************************************* ************ to get dentist to fill out paperwork for treatment that involved periodontal protect tray and gel. The paperwork was medical necessity in order for FSA to cover the charges. I was informed that they did not have a dentist on-site. They only have tele dentist. It was a tele dentist that authorized my treatment, so why can't they fill out this paperwork so that my charges can be paid by this Federal program. They said this is a hygienist place and no dentist is here. There was a dentist there at some point and time because I had one give me a tooth extraction. They gave me the phone number to Corporate. FYI...this Coast Dental office never answers the phone...you have to physically drive to the office to speak to someone there.02/2023 - 04/2023 - Numerous calls placed to Corporate ************ to try to resolve this issue. They tell you that someone will call you back within 10 business days. Noone ever calls you back. Never Ever. This has led to a denied payment for services rendered as far as FSA (FEDERAL PROGRAM). This incident actually feels like some type of FRAUD has been committed. I have filed a complaint with CIGNA Special Investigations (4/2023) and to date have heard nothing back. There are even concerns of overcharging for services.Thank You.***********************

      Purchased dental aligners and the aligners were provided to me 05/21/21. I was in the middle of my series of trays 14 of a total 28. Around April 2022 my trays were lost by the dental staff. I have called and requested where they were. I have voicemails from the office manager stating she could not find the remaining trays for months. I followed up numerous times to corporate and the direct office for a follow up. I currently STILL have placements (aligner holders) CEMENTED on my teeth. When I call the direct office no one answers. I have followed up several times and get the same answer that corporate would get back to me but nothing. I called the office this April (after several attempts) and the staff said they had the remaining trays and closed my case. No one called me to inform me of this. The office staff told me I could come in to pick them up. What am I supposed to do with cemented pieces on my teeth? Take them off myself? I need them off safely by the dentist. When I was calling no one knew what was going on. No one communicated anything. *** called corporate to please have a manager or someone in charge to contact me. No form of resolution was granted. Not even to help with the cemented pieces on my teeth. When I purchased these aligners the service was sold to me that I would be able to complete the series and if I needed them redone I could. The option of having new aligners was not offered me but that they would find the lost aligners since there were so many changes to the dental staff and dentist. When I ask for my chart and history of either my visits or calls they refuse to provide that information. Please call at **************. I will gladly provide voicemails, photos and documents. Health issue is now a bite that is uncomfortable and uneven. Plus cemented pieces on my front teeth need to be removed safely. A refund needs to be provided for the mishandling of my case and disorganization lack of communication of this entire business and office.

      They did crown teeth work on me, this has a 3-year guarantee. I have been to Coast Dental several times and they don't want to fix me. Since my tooth hurts where they put the crown on, I have bad breath, they will send me to other dentists of their own and they say that They are not the same company that cannot fix what I already paid in cash **** dollars I need to change that bridge that they made me It does not work and I have a guarantee and they do not want to act I want my money back.

      Got a bridge put in at the end of February 2023.I went on vacation after it was in put in and when I returned, the went to Coast Dental to get it properly fitted because the bridge was incorrectly made (didn't align with my other teeth) and needed to be redone.I told the dentist this and she said that it was good, as is and wouldn't be redone. I complained and left the dental office without any treatment since the bridge was put in, in February.I am hesitant to get it redone, now, as I feel she will not give me the proper treatment.I wish to go to another dentist and get it done properly.

      Please accept this as Coast's response to **********************. The attending doctor did speak with ********************** regarding the appearance of the appliance, specifically the angulation of the teeth (cosmetic concern). The appliance is clinically correct with no open margins, signs of decay, breaking, or fracturing of the material. ********************** was happy upon receiving the appliance but did change his mind 4-6 weeks later. It was informed to the doctor that he did not like it cosmetically but clinically the appliance sits correctly and works as it should. It is Coasts position that we have acted in good faith and commenced a line of prescribed treatment as requested by ********************** and is not due a refund for services completed. Thank you.

      I am rejecting this response because:  I went to another dentist and they agreed that the appliance was poor, at best and not a proper fit.   I also have had nerve pain in one of the ******* teeth from the day it was put in.

      I did not agree to the appliance.   I told Coast I was going on Holiday and would respond when I returned, which I did.   The appliance was put in just before I left, on 03 March 2023.   The bridge was put in on late February.

      I told Coast that I was having pain in one of the bridge anchours, a week after the bridge was put in.

      I am still demanding a full refund.

      The coast dental ***********, ******* office sent me a bill after my last appointment for $821. During the whole time going to this office I was presented a patient dental treatment plan and I would either agree to the work or inform the office worker I would like to wait because of finances. On my last visit this amount was never disclosed to me and on this visit I was also given a treatment plan for partials that i informed this office I would wait on until my insurance would cover them the next year. When I called the office they informed me my insurance was maxed out. Why was I not informed of this to make an informed decision to have the work done or not. Why was it that I received a bill in the mail only after my last appointment in which I decided to wait on partials. Now I am stuck with a bill for$821 in which this office threatened to turn over to collections. I will not pay an amount that was not disclosed to me in a patient dental plan in which I had no choice.

      DOS-8.30.22 $152.19 I came in for dental visit re: deep cleaning plaque build up. I was told that before deep cleaning could be done, she did exam of my teeth but did not perform deep cleaning. I presented my insurance card-***************** as they showed to be an approved provider. At check out-the girl that worked that day, asked for $152.19 that I paid. As I was about to leave, I asked :Why did you ask for $152.19 when I have insurance?, She couldn't explain where the total charge amount came from so I asked for a Refund because you are to file my insurance 1ST.       Since August 2022, I have been trying to get my money back with no luck. The statement above in them trying to reach me is a lie-this is why I rejected there response.

      ***** (Office manager) finally called me on May 11, 2023 asking for my credit card information (I provided) so she could submit for approval and I should receive refund with in 7 to 10 business,

      This entire experience has been difficult with this practice. I also want to say that upon finding a private dentist, I have received the treatment and completed all appointments within weeks. 

      I am hoping they provide my refund so I can put this entire experience with Coastal Dental behind me... I will continue this effort until I receive my refund that they never should have taken...

      I went to Coast Dental on 08/04/22 for a normal cleaning. They determined I needed a deep clean and after estimating the amount the insurance would cover they charged me the difference. The insurance company paid them an amount that was more than the estimate so they owe me the overpayment I made. I have called Coast Dental more than 75 times and no one will help me. Their CSRs can only take a message and promise someone will call back within ***** hours but no one ever calls. I got lucky and talked with one their para-legals at the company who promised she would research the issue and get back with me but that's been 2 weeks and she no longer answers my calls. After reading all of the other complaints I'm wondering why they are still in business. How are they allowed to continue to steal from their patients and continue to stay in business. I filed a complaint with my dental insurance hoping they will take Coast Dental off the prefered provider list. That's the only reason I chose to go them in the first place. The worst part of this is they recognize they owe me money but refuse to give me a refund. It doesn't matter who you try to contact - the only time they answer the phone is if you want to make an appointment so they can steal money from you and your insurance company once again. This needs to stop!!! These people need to be held accountable. This is insurance fraud at best. I'm hoping one more complaint on the *** website will be enough for someone to make this right. I need my refund.

      I am rejecting this response because:  The total bill was $1318.00 of which I paid $705.09. BCBD Dental Ins and coast Dental agreed amount is $1249.00. According to the Ins EOB insurance paid $830.50 + $360.00 for a total payment of $1190.50 leaving a balance due from me $58.50. I paid $705.09 which means I overpaid $646.59. They gave me a refund of $197.10. They still owe me $449.49.

      I went in for a bridge and received the total cost divided between what my dental insurance would pay and what I would have to cover. I went three times to complete the dental work and paid my portion upon completion. I already verified that they accepted my dental insurance and had my dental insurance fax them confirmation of my coverage. I paid and they billed the difference. I do not owe this money and tried calling and received no response. They have turned me over to collections which now is on my credit report and they refused to check my file. They final payment I made was on my second visit and was required before they would make my permanent bridge. I didnt leave the dental office until late and the office manager had already left when I made the payment.

      On Dec 1, 2021, I paid Coast Dental $2,635.00 for services they did not perform for my son ***************************, DOB 6/1/1978. My son changed his mind about having the dental procedures done. I have been getting the run around for over a year. I have called numerous times and they always tell me they will escalate the matter and have someone call me. They will not transfer me to a manager. No one ever calls. I have never dealt with anything like this before and don't know where to turn. I reached out to you a couple of months ago but I did not give the corporate address. I'm hoping this might make a difference.

      I went to Coast Dental for a teeth cleaning. They upsold me on their version of Invisalign- Coast Dental Clearaligners, which was fine. I was in the market for something along those lines and they happened to provide the service. Immediately upon showing interest in Clearaligners, I was bombarded mid-teeth cleaning by women with iPads and paperwork asking for my debit card- almost as though being pushed to sign and agree so they could make the sale. Very unprofessional but I chose to overlook- my mistake. I scheduled my appointment for my Clearaligners and was told they would be in within a month. Almost 2 months goes by without a call from the business. I had already made a down payment and first installment. I left multiple voicemails after the month had gone by. None of which were returned. I felt almost scammed. Finally, I received a call asking to schedule. The staff was relatively unprofessional by my second visit. I walked in on the girls behind the front desk snickering and making rude comments about a customer always being late or missing their appointments. This was an immediate second red flag. I was given my first tray and they detailed the plan for my corrective trays. 8 trays and 3 rounds of ***. They deviated from this plan on my 3rd visit by doing the *** an appointment early and gave me 2 trays, telling me to come back in a month. My appointment a month later rolls around and come to find out- the location closed. No notice, no messages, nothing from Coast Dental. *** contacted the business twice asking for my trays to be sent to another location, seeing as Im still paying installments for a service I am no longer provided. They still have 5 of my trays and I am due for 1 last round of ***. **************** was no help. I was told twice that corporate would reach out within 48 hours. I have not heard from corporate. I asked for a number to contact corporate and was informed they only reach out to me, I cannot contact them. Extremely unprofessional

      I am rejecting this response because: Coast Dental reached out on April 13th and stated that they would be contacting me again within the next few days for scheduling. I have not been contacted for scheduling. I have not been contacted at all since, though I have made attempts to contact them. They are not working directly with me.
