      I was a patient at the Coast Dental on *********************** in *****************************************. I left the practice in July 2022 because I moved out of the area. I learned at my last appointment that there was a balance of $35 owed to me from overpayment of a previous service. I requested a refund by check in the office that day and provided my new address, they said they would mail a refund check to me. I have not received the check to date. I have called Coast Dental 7 times since July 2022 (see screen shot of calls for dates) and have not received a return call as requested or a check. No one has answered the phone any time I called and I only called during business hours. I am seeking help to get a refund of the $35 they owe me.

On 8/10/22 we received a payment from your insurance company for $30.00 for date of service 1/17/22, leaving an account balance of $40.00 owed. On 12/8/22 we received the final insurance payments of $35.00 for 1/24/22 and $30.00 for 7/18/22 leaving a credit balance of $25.00. The refund is currently pending, and I will provide an update once finalized. Thank you!

      I am rejecting this response because:Original complaint filed 12/16/22: I was a patient at the Coast Dental on *********************** in ***************, **.       Called made an appointment they rescheduled my appointment without my knowledge, called and made an emergency appointment went in waited for an hour for a rude person to tell me that I cant be seen and theres nothing she can do about , as well as she stated they are booked till January, mind u this is an emergency appointment as I have a swollen face with an infection , and still they stated they cant help

      on May 23, 2022 I paid coast Dental of ************** to make upper and lower partials at a cost of $1,996. After multiple attempts to get them to fit (last set was missing a front tooth!) the dentist gave up and said he would refund my money paid. He also signed a confirmation. After 30+ unreturned calls, I received a refund of $1,207.80 on Nov. 10, 2022. They still owe me $788.20. Again leaving messages that they will not return and am owed money. Horrible service.

      Please accept this as Coast's response to ********************** complaint. We are sorry to hear the partials did not work out for you. I do show that the attending office attempted multiple times to get the partials to work for you and on the last visit you did not accept delivery because of air that could be pushed through the partials which is not something that can be corrected. The refund provided is the total refund due minus the lab fees of $393.60 per partial, total $787.20. Attached is the account ledger and the signed financial agreement for you to view which does explain that lab fees are held if treatment is canceled after impressions are taken. Thank you.

      I am rejecting this response because: The top denture that was not seated on my pallet couldve been easily adjusted but the dentist refused. The bottom partial was missing the front tooth which was the whole point of having a partial. The dentist is the one who refused to continue to make them correct. That is why I had him sign the document that said he would return all of my money. 

      I would expect nothing less than a complete full refund from this horrible dentist who would not and could not provide the service he charged me for and promised to refund.

      I had a horrible experience with Coast Dental, location - *************************************************************. Ive experienced what I feel has been unethical and unprofessional practices from the personnel that work at this office. I spent a lot of money to have dental work done here, only to find that once the anesthesia has worn off, an existing and quite frankly, very expensive crown that they werent even working on has been chipped. I contacted the office to request a copy of my X-rays, which I paid for and are in-fact my property to have looked at and verify that they did indeed damage the crown, and their response was this:New message from Coast Dental University:Unfortunately we were having difficulties with our x-ray machine and yours did not save therefore we have none to email you. If you have any questions call ************ Sent via NexHealthSince receiving this message, I have attempted to contact this office numerous times and have yet to reach a live representative, Ive only been sent to voicemail where I have left countless messages that have gone unanswered. Since this dental work , they recommended a ************* to post a line of credit to cover the cost. I contacted the lender to seek assistance in this matter and they told me since Coast Dental had already been paid in full, not only the financial obligation is mine, so is my problem with Coast Dental. They may be an affiliation/partnership between Coast Dental and this lender They recommended. I want, my x-rays, to verify that they had indeed chipped an existing, expensive crown, now, X-rays just disappear! They are automatically downloaded and are actually used during a procedure, so their explanation that the x-rays were not saved is at best a lie. I have also contact Coast Dentalscorporate office and explained the problem/situation. They were supposed to call me back with a remedy/solution/explanation, I have yet to hear from them to this day. Please advise.

      I went to Coast Dental in April 2022 for check up and my daughter as well. I was not happy with their services due to the fact that there was no dentist on site - it was through a Zoom call. It was awful. When I went to pay, I ended up paying over $170.00 more than I was to pay. However, I received an email from the office manager in the **************** location that I overpaid because the receptionist goofed up and thought my daughter had cleaning but she did not have it done but did not state what the overpayment was. I had made the decision not to go back due to bad experience. I requested that they give me the refund back in Sept or Oct. They told me it would take about 4 to 8 weeks to get the refund. Their refund policy is terrible and as of this day, I still have not received my refund. I have called the **************** and could not leave a message because their mailbox was full. I called the Patient relations 3 times and they could not let me talk to a person about the refund. I had to leave a message for them to call me. Well, they have not returned my messages or received my refund. I will never use them again. I am demanded that they give me my refund by Dec 9th or I will press charges against them

      Last June 21, 2022 I have transactions at Coast Dental Casselberry and I paid a total of $1,789.67 which includes a set of PERDIODONTAL MEDICAMENT transactions ***** & ***** in the amount of $255.00 each or a total of $510.00. ( Receipts attached) After fitting my gums (lower & upper) the hygienist told me that within two (2) weeks they will call me to pick it. But three weeks had passed I didn't heard from them so I called and they told me that they don't have it yet. And on the later part of July I went to the clinic and they gave me only (1) piece. I was looking for the other one and the hygienist asked me if I get the pair and I told her I have receipt. They asked me again for the fitting of the upper gum ( second time) and after that I didn't hear them again. So I went back to the clinic to pick it and they can't give it because their reason the gum protector was broken and they asked again for another fitting which is the third time to be done by the dentist.And on September 21, ******************************************************************************** that he can't do it. He even tried 3 pattern/moulding and he further said that even if he will do it the whole day he can't do it because he saw something in my mouth. I felt that the moulding is very big for my mouth and gum. . Right after he told me and the finance manager/cashier to give my money back and the finance manager told me that she will call the head finance manager of the corporate for the process of my refund. But until now I didn't get it yet. I always call the clinic and even leave a voice mail but they will not answer or call me back. I went there also many many times but the finance manager will always say that she was not able to contact the head finance of the corporate because the said person is always busy or in a conference everytime she called which is a TOTAL BS which and fool will buy. I found out that she did nothing for the process of my refund. When I called this #************ I talked to a very nice lady and she helped me. She pulled out my account and wanted me to gave the details on my complaint and promised to forward it the Coast Dental *********** and to the corporate. And on November 15, 2022 the finance manager/cashier called me for the details of the credit card I used in the transaction. They have already all the details that they want but until now I didn't get yet my money. Between November 15 and up to this day Dec. 1, I went two times already to the clinic asking for my refund but the same answer of the finance manager "SHE WILL CALL THE HEAD FINANCE OF THE CORPORATE "..I called many times too.I HOPE AND PRAY I CAN HAVE MY MONEY BACK. I WORK HARD FOR IT. And by the way the finance manager/cashier threatened me that she will call a police because I told her and other staff in the clinic that I will not leave until I can get my money. Honestly I was not afraid because I did nothing bad there and I didn't owed them. I just want my money back. There was a male patient inside the clinic at that time (November 30 around 4:00 p.m.) and he pitied on me. I asked his name to be my witness that I DID NOTHING WRONG INSIDE THE CLINIC in case she will call a police. The name of the male patient is *************************** in ************** **.HOPING YOU CAN HELP ME TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I was very glad that I came accros in your site'THANK YOU SO MUCH AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY .

      on 11/11/2022 **** and ****** had dental appointments. **** went first and when ****** showed up he told her not to bother having an appt because they don't clean your teeth. ****** asked the desk why they wouldn't clean our teeth when that is the appointment that was made. The rude gal at the desk said because the hygienist doesn't working on Fridays. We said then why would you schedule us for a cleaning? she said it was the call center who scheduled it. That's not our issue. to top it off, we were charged $112 for an oral cancer screening (which is always done as part of our exam, never extra) and $23 for panoramic films. Our insurance only covers a full mouth x-ray or panoramic every 3 years, which is why when we filled out the paperwork online, we gave them our previous dentist to get the records from. They stated they only received ppwk on ****** not ****, which is not true. to top it off, they did an "exam" to determine what type of cleaning **** had to have done, then he would have to come back for another appointment. ****** called right away after leaving ****'s appointment and telling them to cancel ******'s to file a complaint. I got customer service who supposedly put in a note for a call back. this was around ****am on 11/11/2022. on 11/14 at 830am i called ************ option 3 and option 3 again, the mailbox is full to leave a message about billing issues and refunds (imagine that). then I called ************ back again and got a lady named ******. she said that she could see my other message and that it take 2-3 business days for a call back. Here we are on 11/17 6 calendar days and 4 business days not counting 11/11/2022 and still no call back. I have already called insurance to make sure when we go to the new dentist office that actually does a cleaning when you schedule one to ensure we aren't going to have to pay for that due to the incompetence of this organization. I want a refund on the $112 for things we didn't ask for or need and a call back

      On July 1st 2022, I went to Coast Dental In *******, ** for a cleaning. Before it began my expected billing paperwork was brought to me. At that time I was told I had a $400+ credit on my account. I was furious. The only way that would be on my account is if I was overcharged 2+ years ago (Before covid) when I replaced my partial. They applied my charges that day to my credit and I told them I wanted the balance refunded to me immediately. I was told they needed to process the paperwork and send it to the corporate office for approval. I contacted the corporate office a week later and was told they would look into it.I have since called both the clinic in ******* and the **************** and I am getting the run around.The clinic says corporate is the only ones that can assist me and corporate says it is the clinics responsibility to refund my money.I have left messages with both places for management to contact me and I have received no response.

      11/16/22. $51.75. This was only for the 30 + xrays, and gum measuring. I had xrays at a local dentist a year ago but they didnt want that. Then they said I needed 'deep cleaning' for $350 (they tried to charge my husband over $900 for his). They refused to do any cleaning but this one so their stance is no cleaning is better than a regular cleaning. Paid more than I ever have at a dentist (I have insurance) and got nothing for it but the privelege of paying them over $50 (twice - they did same thing to my husband). I would like that $103 back.

You can contact the office directly at ************ to arrange the signing of the consent form and pick up/sending of the x-rays.  The charges for your visit are based off the fee schedule provided by your insurance company, we are not eligible to change the rates and you can always reach out to your insurance company for a copy of the fee schedule.
